I’ve had that Mark Wilson book, amongst others, for years after a recommendation from a friend. Apparently, you can’t learn magic from it if it just sits on your shelf…After seeing quite a few of your videos, and because of your high praise, I’ve decided to get it down and read it.
I love this book it is great because it provides beginner suited tricks from very different fields of magic. Moreover the method of teaching with pictures with only little comments to emphasis the details is great. Since English is not my first language I appreciate this even more. Great cups and balls routine amazing easy coin and money tricks. Just browse through the book and pick what you are looking for.Reading magic books from beginning to end hardly was a help for me. Most of the time things get frustrating rather quick when the book is not a step by step guide or at least builds up but rather comes across as a summery of different tricks.
Thank you for you videos. I've been looking for good videos for this matter. My skills have improved a lot by watching you and practising. Thank you again.
Had to replay 12:17 for about 20 times at 0.25x speed to finally have a clue of how those cards may work. Still can't explain how you do it tho'. You are an absolute master.
Love the video, it brought back great memories. No Hot Rod? It was the first trick i bought from the Bob Hutchings Magic Shop in Jacksonville, FL in 1972. Then the Spiked Coin lol. Thanks for doing what you do!
I use white Bic ink pen or dollar store white ink pen cause I don't smoke for cig thru quarter or half dollar coins they now make it so a magician wand can go thru the coin

@@DougConn Thanks. I'm super nervous for the event. Since it will most likely be my first time busking. Could you maybe touch on the subject a little bit of when a spectator tries to, or does expose? Not just for me to understand what to do. But for others too.
Just seen a gaff deck trick called Phil Plus "Outdone" by Trevor Duffy....I'd never even heard of it before but what an effect! It's a beaut imho. Just wondering if you're familiar with it and what do you think of it.
I need a pair of skizzers because I can't say sizzors.. Back in 1960 , my first sev deck had a fox lake back ,when I used it for the lay people it looked a little funny..
I had to slow it down to 0.25 - 0.5x speed just to see some of the sleight of hand. You sound very intoxicated 😆 there's still some tricks you do I can't figure out how you do it

@@DougConn 😄 It's only because I changed the playback speed to 0.25 & 0.5 speed to try to see your sleight of hand. Even at ¼ speed I can't figure out some of your tricks. You're too good
I have Scotch and soda coin illusion and cig thru coin From Abbott Magic company the Johnson prescion milled cut spring half or quarter on tail's side or face side ps i get it on the tails quarter eagle side
