- In this video I'll do an unboxing of the board game 'Age of Civilization', - I'll be unboxing the Kickstarter as well as the retail version.
Age of Civilization is a pocket-sized civilization game. Throughout one game, each player leads up to three historical civilizations to form a unique combination of abilities. Players build Wonders, research technology, develop culture, conquer for glory, or even exploit their people. Only the player who wisely manages his workers and wealth can achieve the greatest civilization.

Yes, you're right - I was never sure whether I should sticker the German or the English version! 😱
But I should definitely decide on something... 😅
It's shame that the retail version has an actual nice storage for game components... I also can't understand why some civ icons were changed... The KS backers now can feel sorry they have an inferior version of the game.
Yeah, kind of. I do agree that the retail version is nicer altogether - that's something you don't see often.
Then again, I personally think the 'tray insert' of the KS version is a bit more practical. But the cards in the retail version feel better.
I have the retail version and small hands. I have a hard time getting the stars, round tokens, and meeples out. The stuff also doesn’t stay in the insert because I store the game on its side and I get stressed out when I see the cards or things moved around because I expect them to be in their wells. If they’re all mixed up anyway it doesn’t matter. I think I also lost a pawn, because there’s a Monopoly wheelbarrow in its place.

I actually do prefer the storage of the Kickstarter version as well but prefer the cards of the retail version. 🤔
When does the retail version release? I cannot find it for sale anywhere.
It is released as far as I know - you can definitely get it in the Webshop of Ice Makes.
@@SirThecos I went there and for me it only has the KS limited edition available for purchase. Possibly not available in Australia yet?
