How do you even craft in the game I thought it was gonna be as easy as Minecraft ☠️
Crafting is more of a late game mechanic, as eventually power, water, allat shuts down, and resources run out. For the first 2 in game weeks it’s just scavenging and preparing. Eventually you’ll have to find tools n shit to even craft, along with wood planks, nails, etc.
Also push the zombies more than swinging a Melee so you don’t get your shit ran as easily, and use space to stomp if your weapons are in low durability and you Don’t wanna break your weapons as fast. Thought I’d mention that since you were solo’d by zombies 50 bejillion times.
Bites are guaranteed infection, laceration, and scratches have super low chance of infection but it’s still possible. If your infected it takes like 2-3 days to take effect, if you wanna keep your stuff just drink bleach and die in a spot you’ll remember :D
House alarms are a thing btw.

most of the time right clicking objects will give you plenty of options which i almost always use over the crafting menu, you can tear apart your own clothing to bandage yourself with ripped sheets, or get them from the body, also to fight zombies, never get out of combat stance between swings, it makes you vulnerable as you back up to back vulnerability (higher chance of a bite / severe injury), and constantly backup as you fight, so you do not get overwhelmed
if you want to make your chances of survival slightly higher, try to crouch whenever you're on the move. looting houses can also yield good loot if you're lucky; you have to loot for a while

Enjoyed the video. Hope you give PZ a few more tries. The start is rough but once you learn some more it is a lot of fun. Multiplayer with friends is even better.

to help you with melee combat:
what i saw you do a lot is just get into the "battle stance" (with the circle and the line cursor) and you'd just move it completely upwards
when your character is in this stance, it will face the cursor; its attacks will do so to. you don't have to put your cursor directly on the enemy, it just has to be in the direction of it. your character attacks where its looking at

project zomboid is the type of game you play when you ur ok with wasting a ton of time learning, but once u get used to everything the game is gonna be so fun and replayable.

you can right click items in your inventory and click put on back to make it easier to equip items. Also, when you’re using a two handed weapon, like the crowbar, make sure you’re using both of your hands for maximum damage and speed potential
