Rainy day and steam in Liujiaxia - China.

  • A few minutes of video shot on a grim day in and around Liujiaxia, Gansu Province, China. There are several scenes here almost guaranteed to give any western 'Health & Safety' zealot palpitations! Whilst intended as a 'steam' video, it does show how railways and in this case steam worked ones, are an integral part of day to day life in provincial China. The locos are non-deflector fitted JS class 2-8-2s.

      No it was from that steam engine. I don't know exactly why China is making all the steam locomotives they're still operating use air horns instead of their own chime whistles.
