After the last year and a half being exposed to the Korean culture through K-Dramas and K-Pop and learning a little of the language so far, I also thought about moving to South Korea. It’s harder for me though because I don’t have my bachelors degree. Only my associates. But I never thought about going for teaching until this man I know in my hometown who is Korean told me about his son’s friend who went to teach. But one day I’ll go. One day. And getting a Korean boyfriend is also my dream. My coworkers have teased me before about it and for even liking K-pop. That’s why I stopped talking about many thing Korean around others. It’s weird here in the US or at least where I live to be into that stuff.
I understand where you are coming from. A few year ago, I was really into Kpop and K-dramas, but I hid my interest from others because they didn't understand. It's good to see that K-culture is more widely accepted and appreciated on a global scale. But here's some advice: if you want to teach in South Korea, you have to have a Bachelor's degree, they won't accept Associate's. Also, you will have to take a teaching class. A little time consuming but easy to find and finish. Lastly, I encourage you to think beyond having a Korean boyfriend and rather find someone who accepts and loves you along with everything you are interested in. Best of luck ♥️
