It's actually so good that you mentioned that. I have grown such a love and admiration for the Korean language, food, and culture. That's something I don't want to lose as I transition back home. So I will definitely get some language exchange partners and hang our at the nearest Korean marts and restaurants to get the food ❤

Hi Kelsey! I think it is so cool that you can relate to my experience, also being an expat in East Asia. Korea has truly changed me for the better, and I am going home a completely different person than I came. What I'm learning is that I need to love on and support myself in this transition home even more than I did on the transition here. And I am setting up communities and opportunities for me to stay connected to Korea once I'm home. I love this place so much so I know I'll be back! Wow! It's so nice to hear that your niece also shares an admiration and love for Korean culture. The purpose of my channel is to show young people, especially Black and Brown youth, that the world is so much bigger than our limited perspective. I have an 11 year old niece who is following in my footsteps, and I want to be a role model for her and all those who look up to me! I have wanted to visit Korea for more than half my life, and once I was able to make this dream happen for myself, I didn't look back. I also hope your niece can have the courage to travel (both on her own and possibly with friends/family). As I mentioned in this video and my previous break-up video, I am whole. I am going home a well-rounded and level-headed woman, and I have my time in Korea to thank for this life transition I've experienced here. I mean as long as you love want you do and your geniune readers/ fans enjoy your personality and work. I'm at the tail-end of my 20s and I'm evolving a lot. I used to think that I had my life figured out and with age, I'm learning that life can throw curveballs that we don't always see coming. All I can control is how I respond to the turbulence and the story I tell once the storm is over. So grateful to have my internet family to love on me and support me ❤️❤️
Know when changes like this happens, it is like rhe birthing process, labor is hard. Your next move is probably what needs to happen, it is definitly time. Think of what that baby feels during the process, probably as you do right now. Understand you are not failing, transition is happening. You will be fine.
I really needed to hear that. I'm so resistant to change that I can sit in something even if I know I have outgrown it. I love Korea and there's a chance that I will come back. Remember, it's for now, not forever. I'm about 30 years older than you, and I refer to the different times of my life as in a past life. I say this because I've lived and gone through so many changes, so many lives. Sometime s I can't think of myself as going through some of the things I did. At the time you can't think of how you'll make it through, but you always do. You learn so many lessons along the way, and the experience allows you to pull someone else up in the future. Hang in there, brace yourself, and once you're on the other side of it, you can breathe easier. You will overcome.

Hi Wanda!! Thank you for this sweet comment! I used to think that I wasn't the risk-taker. After Covid, I realized how short and fickle life can be, and I decided to take the risk of my life (so far) and move here. This was the best decision I've ever made! I've grown so much and I have created opportunities for myself that I never would have gotten if I had just stayed in the US. I recognize my privilege in doing this since I didn't have anyone depending on me back home. I could come here and do my thing without having to think too much about life back home. But my mission has evolved and I have devoted time into showing others that they can take risks! Life is full of risks but it is also full of rewards. The sad thing about being in a new country that you love is not being able to stay there unless there is something or someone keeping you there legally such as a job or a spouse. Hoping that you can go back one day because I can tell you want to but I know you will be SO happy to be back in your home country with things that are more familiar to you! ❤

I thought it was cheaper to ship your belongings. Don't be afraid to share with people around you what you're feeling. All of your feelings are valid. As a fellow person who lived in S. I did consider shipping, but once I saw the price (size/weight) and the uncertainty with when it would be delivered, I opted to take everything on the plane with me. Plus this is a great chance to declutter and only bring things that serve me in my next chapter. And I appreciate your advice to open up to those around me. Believe it or not, I don't really open up often to my friends. I prefer to be the rock that others rely on, so I am learning to let down my walls and be more transparent when I am not feeling my best. Thank you for reminded me of that ❤️❤️

Hunter please purchase a aloe vera plant leaf and use it to treat your acne and other skin discoloration ls. It is effective and works quickly along with apple cider vinegar

That's a perfect way to describe my current state: growing pains. I know 30 is not old, but this transition into year 30 feels much different than any before and I am experiencing more discomfort than I have before. Like a plant that has outgrown its pot or a fish that has outgrown its tank. And you're right about the soda 🙈 grape soda is like my alcohol so I drink it when I want to unwind and destress. But I need to stop drinking it so often!

Every year I inch closer to the introvert side haha soon I'll have to identify as an extroverted introvert! If I could chip in my 2-cent Hunter, I would say that you should try not to box yourself in especially relating to life and the opportunities you come across. It takes lots of trials to get to your destination and trust me when I say it will be worth it. God knows who we are and what we truly need in the life that he created for us to live and I would say that you should also turn to the Holy Spirit and ask for wisdom, especially with navigating through life. Wow! It's so nice to hear that your niece also shares an admiration and love for Korean culture. The purpose of my channel is to show young people, especially Black and Brown youth, that the world is so much bigger than our limited perspective. I have an 11 year old niece who is following in my footsteps, and I want to be a role model for her and all those who look up to me! I have wanted to visit Korea for more than half my life, and once I was able to make this dream happen for myself, I didn't look back. I also hope your niece can have the courage to travel (both on her own and possibly with friends/family).

I'm at the tail-end of my 20s and I'm evolving a lot. I used to think that I had my life figured out and with age, I'm learning that life can throw curveballs that we don't always see coming. All I can control is how I respond to the turbulence and the story I tell once the storm is over. So grateful to have my internet family to love on me and support me ❤️❤️
Know when changes like this happens, it is like rhe birthing process, labor is hard. Your next move is probably what needs to happen, it is definitly time. Think of what that baby feels during the process, probably as you do right now. Understand you are not failing, transition is happening. You will be fine.

Remember, it's for now, not forever. I'm about 30 years older than you, and I refer to the different times of my life as in a past life. I say this because I've lived and gone through so many changes, so many lives. Sometime s I can't think of myself as going through some of the things I did. At the time you can't think of how you'll make it through, but you always do. You learn so many lessons along the way, and the experience allows you to pull someone else up in the future. Hi Wanda!! Thank you for this sweet comment! I used to think that I wasn't the risk-taker. After Covid, I realized how short and fickle life can be, and I decided to take the risk of my life (so far) and move here. This was the best decision I've ever made! I've grown so much and I have created opportunities for myself that I never would have gotten if I had just stayed in the US. I recognize my privilege in doing this since I didn't have anyone depending on me back home. I could come here and do my thing without having to think too much about life back home. But my mission has evolved and I have devoted time into showing others that they can take risks! Life is full of risks but it is also full of rewards. The sad thing about being in a new country that you love is not being able to stay there unless there is something or someone keeping you there legally such as a job or a spouse. Sorry to hear it didn't work out. Things change, and can change again for the better. I'm curious why you didn't opt to mail you extra shoes, and decor home? I thought it was cheaper to ship your belongings. Don't be afraid to share with people around you what you're feeling. All of your feelings are valid. As a fellow person who lived in S. Korea for only a brief 6 months. I can imagine the ups/downs. Fighting!!!
I did consider shipping, but once I saw the price (size/weight) and the uncertainty with when it would be delivered, I opted to take everything on the plane with me. Plus this is a great chance to declutter and only bring things that serve me in my next chapter.
And I appreciate your advice to open up to those around me. Believe it or not, I don't really open up often to my friends. I prefer to be the rock that others rely on, so I am learning to let down my walls and be more transparent when I am not feeling my best. Thank you for reminded me of that ❤️❤️

That's a perfect way to describe my current state: growing pains. I know 30 is not old, but this transition into year 30 feels much different than any before and I am experiencing more discomfort than I have before. Like a plant that has outgrown its pot or a fish that has outgrown its tank.
And you're right about the soda 🙈 grape soda is like my alcohol so I drink it when I want to unwind and destress. But I need to stop drinking it so often!

If I could chip in my 2-cent Hunter, I would say that you should try not to box yourself in especially relating to life and the opportunities you come across. It takes lots of trials to get to your destination and trust me when I say it will be worth it. God knows who we are and what we truly need in the life that he created for us to live and I would say that you should also turn to the Holy Spirit and ask for wisdom, especially with navigating through life. God bless you and I wish you the very best as you heal and move forward.
Did you think about sending some of your luggage home by FedEx? Then you wouldn’t have so much to take on the plane.
I did consider it, but then I checked the price and the uncertainty in the timeframe when the items would reach my home. I've lost important items in transit before, so that scared me. Also, this is a great chance for me to detach from some unnecessary items that I don't need to take into this next phase. So, I'm viewing it as an opportunity to detach emotionally from stuff. Thank you for the tip though ❤️
