So do I, i rlly feel the hope after that videos and i believe I really can do it - hell no - as u said I have trained over month and i feel impovement butt... its not still enough
Have courage and stay safe! I didn't do a very good job in the video (but I will address it in a later one) but you need to cover your rear brake. Once you are comfortable with the balance point, move your right leg up and practice bringing the bike up, then back down with the rear brake. Have fun and stay safe!
Also a great method if you haven't done wheelies in a few years. We were doing it on a '15 KX 85 and it made hopping on the KTM 300 and feeling comfortable standing it up WAY easier. Getting the bike up is all about clutch and throttle control. Best if you can try it first on a bike that is too small for you. Grip the bike tight with your legs and drag your feet allows to find that balance point. Thx for posting!
You did a great job and didn't try to blow smoke up anyone's ass. Anyone that doesn't like or appreciate this video, doesn't have the balls or nerve to make their own video. I just bought a DRZ 400S and this was the most honest and real video I've watched on how to do a wheelie. Thanks
I remember when this video came out when I was a kid. This video was actually what I used to learn how to wheelie my dirtbikes 6-7 years ago. I’m glad that this came up on my fyp. Hope you’re doing well bro.
Crf wheelie tutorial: Sit as far back on the seat as possible, pull the clutch in all the way, full throttle redline, drop the clutch and pray for more than 2 inches off the ground. (Not hating, i own a crf myself)
I'm a wheelie Boyz I agree with the way and flip you really I throttle up instead of clutch it out that's when most people and slips that are inexperienced sweat and slip NC and for that they don't know back brace is everything how many people do you know that try to wheelie flip they don't know that the back brake will bring them right down and when your question how do you know what RPM's to bring the bike to before releasing the clutch I don't even know and I could really 3 miles but I throttle up if you could tell me what RPMs to bring the bike to to catch up after writing 35 years I'm still very itchy talking about talking about wheelie I could really for mile but I always throw up or bring the bike up with the throttle I never caught up with the clutch I don't know what RPM's to bring the bike to and after all this time I still get nervous if I'm clutching it's the one thing that scares me anything not many things on a bike stand I noted that on the page and really you have to catch up I'm doing voice text so it doesn't always come out right if you could tell me how many RPMs can bring them I would appreciate it
I really enjoyed your video. I've been riding for many years and this video brought back a lot of good memories. Don't be discouraged in the negative comments. The video does exactly what you set out to do! Keep up the good work and look forward to more of your videos in the near future.
thank you so much bro, i tried and tried but couldnt get it so looked up how to do a wheelie clicked this video and now im doing wheelies for the whole 60 acres that i have
I like to wheelie on the fields. It feels more safe in a way and if you fall, you dont harm yourself that bad as you could do on the asphalt. so I recommend to try it out on the fields. :-) thanks for the video! :-D
great video thanks :) my son got his first bike and this video was a huge help to him.. he was nervous and hearing you say its cool don't get discouraged gave him some coincidence he is wheelie crazed now and killing my grass lol
Awesome vid Jakko, I am also terrified of wheelies but really wanting to learn. Been practicing on the mountain bike but I am still a whimp haha. Will have to try your method, cheers
Thanks you for this great guide. I don't have any flat or any small hils, however I am able to get my wheel off the ground higher than before. I feel more comfortable when I keep my foot on the brakes, for me it works this way.
On my ttr 125 i go into second gear, stop, hold in the clutch and pull half throttle, and drop the clutch. My only problem is i keep my feet on the ground and pull the bike backward.
I have had a dirt bike for a while and I rode it all the time but I got off for about 2 years and I just got back on yesterday and it reminded me of how fun it is to ride so I just enjoy riding it
That's the classic beginners standing start, legs dangling wheelie. I managed to fall off my first bike on the first day out aged 16 looping it up a slight hill using this technique. LMAO. It's definitely better to wheelie while moving and keep your feet on the pegs, right foot over the rear brake.
how are there so many comments asking if his bike is a 2 or 4 stroke? listen to it! look at the pipe! Also that is most definitely not a ttr125. it looks like a wr250 or possibly yz250f with a road kit but most likely a wr
I've been wanting to learn how to wheelie for awhile now, but was always a bit chicken lol. I'm definitely going to work on it this spring. Great video for sure. It'd be fun to ride with you! I'm riding a crf230f and it's a heavy bitch... built like a tank, but this video was informative and helpful. Cheers!
Buddy of mine got a wicked wheelie photo of himself in flip flops and boxers on a range road, sometimes gears just not critical, but a solid 10/10 photo is always necessary
I did my first wheelie on my 1973 Kawasaki 250 duel sport (bored out ,285cc?) back in 1986 when I was 19 years old (Poway, San Diego.) I did it on our street which was a short side street about 2 blocks long. I was a skate border 🛹 and surfer 🌊 🏄♂️ so I had good balance. Never fell or dropped it either. I just popped the clutch in first gear ⚙, found the balance point and learned to ride it. Took me about 30 minutes and was eventually able to ride it for a good block. Good times 🏍👍😎🇺🇸.
@JakkoMoto dude... don't worry so much about offending us. The main reason I'm here is because I don't know how to wheelie and I'm scared of doing a wheelie. And I'm looking for instruction videos for doing wheelies in youtube instead of trying it out myself and breaking my neck. Pretty sure I'm a wimp category at this point in a certain definition. Not ashamed to admit that. On most videos of "how to do a wheelie" I see a bragging show off doing wheelies and bragging all over the video. I have hopes for yours. Now let me finish watching..... Edit 5:44 - I'm safe... but my bike! haha I care about my bike too! Edit end: Yea definitely a much better tutorial video than those I've seen so far.
I tried this today and it helps a lot. At first i wasent getting the wheel high enough but i figuered out that the balance point is a lot higher than i thought
***** sure it helps. it took me one day to learn wheelies on my sm after 3 years wheeling on my bike. the only different thing is you dont use ur rear break that much but your throttle. maybe it helps when u do wheelies on a fixie.
The balance point is very similar on a bicycle so for practicing balance I agree with you. But having wheelied both I can tell you they are two different animals. Not a bad idea though, and safer!
I love your Led Zeppelin shirt man. Also, thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it, I'll try to do that once I get some gas (and get used to my new bike I just grew out of my old one)
Really enjoyed this video. I am kind of new to riding, and I think this video will help. Do you have any beginner jumping videos. I would like to learn how to do that too.
Holy crap dude this was awesome just gave me confidence to go through with it I'm rocking a 125cc pit bike but I'm a small dude so its kool anyway this was very helpful I'm posting my progress from no experience whatsoever
Keep you right foot by the brake just in case you come back too far. Control how high the front tire is by using the brake and the throttle. Been stunting since 2008. Good luck!
i have an 01 xr100 and when i do wheelies with my legs dangling i sit in the middle of the seat and it works great but some of your tips helped me. thenks
very helpful although i can’t reach the balance point cuz my bike only goes to 8mph in first gear. but i did get my wheel up today bcuz of this video i started watching today and i’ve been trying to wheelie for the past month and my tire hasn’t came off the ground
Good luck on the wheelies, and don't get discouraged, it will take some practice to get it down. I can only ride a wheelie through a single gear I havent gotten to where i can shift yet. Also looking forward to that vid!
Every body who is complaining about this video shut up this was a very good video. If you don't like it don't watch it. Dude that made this video if you see my comment you made a awesome video it really helped thank you. Some people that make the training videos forget about the people who are just starting. Thank you :)
right one thing you do wheelies when you feel its right not on command when you do it on command things often go wrong when it feels right and your confident enough do a wheelie i suppose its good that your showing the kids hot to ''dump the clutch'' if you need to watch a video like this on how to wheelie is clear that your not ready !
If you're having trouble with doing this wheelie, try compressing your front forks (use front brakes, be moving slowly before you start the compress) and start to pull the bars up when they rebound, this should allow you to wheelie very slowly with a little clutch out and throttle.
Thanks for the video. I'm gonna try this tomorrow. Does anyone from a distance wonder why your having long animated conversations to the side of your bike? Haha
Nice vid mate I started to do wheelies from 2nd dipping the cluch and I broke a lot of mudguards and hurt my knees a lot, and it was hard to find the balance point like that, with your way I found the balance point very quick and it gives you confidence.
thanks a lot for your helpfull video, clear and patient way to teach how to pop up the front wheel! try it for the first time today with my xr 400, slow in first gear
Anyone who has ridden 3 wheelers have an advantage because wheeling is easy and very stable. Front end lifts up easy but the two rear wheels keep you from tipping over.
I rarely use the clutch when I wheelie, just a small blip of the throttle and pull back. I learned pretty much the same though, on the grass with a small incline only on a ttr 125 haha, the good old days
jacco, first lesson is to cover ur rear brake.. don't dangle no feet beside the bike. learning it on a dirt bike is quite easy to do as it doesn't weigh as much. Foot on the brake, easy low speed clutch ups.. ( don't rev out ) every time try to brake the bike down.. u will get comfortable with the feeling of the rear brake and when u finally do get high enough u will use it and u won't crash :) but dangling the feet beside the moto is a very, very bad tip to give to people. :)
That was such a nice video :) You are very good at teaching, and very articulate. I totally loved it. I have a cruiser bike, still I feel like trying this the first thing in the morning xP
i learned in a total of 5 days of just random practicing. I spent a while on power wheelies and that just didnt get the bike up fast enough and then moved onto clutch ups which were much easier. i would do random wheelies during the week just playing around then on one day i actually set aside time for just wheelie practice and within an hour of clutch ups i had it consistently to the balance point and can now wheelie in first and stay at the balance point
i m not sure of your age but seeing how you are confined to your yard I'm thinking younger but I will say much nicer directions then most videos out there great information.
Hows this for being a Wimp ? I use to skydive ... but i was nervouse to try and wheely my bike or jump it yet when i was a teen i could jump bmx lol but im still new to rideing lol love your video thanks man il learn to wheely with next bike i get
Just check to make sure u have a little play in ur clutch. I ruined my clutch disks doing this all day long lol. But thx dude for the vid it rlly helped.
I watched this video 6 months ago and now I'm doing 1 hands and knee knockers, Thank you my good sir for a quality video
***** :D
+ZackGoes is this how you learned to wheelie? damn
SomeRiderGuy Yea
ZackGoes oh cool
Zack, you're so very welcome
If you have a 2 stroke, doing wheelies is easy!
Step 1. Get up on the gas tank as far as possible.
Step 2. Roll the throttle.
Step 3. Pray.
Rip i have yz250 2st cunts fuked
L
XD
Bat And The Cat a four stroke is going to be better at doing wheelies than a 2 stroke because 4 strokes have more torque
i have a wr 125 and isnt easier is really more hard!
I always look at these videos and think "I can totally do this". I get on my dirt bike=hell no, not happening
Ain't it
Soo true
So do I, i rlly feel the hope after that videos and i believe I really can do it - hell no - as u said
I have trained over month and i feel impovement butt... its not still enough
Michael Cunningham me too😂
Michael Cunningham TRUE
I just got mine and I'm annoyed at myself by being a sissy
Man I really like your style. Happy new subscriber here!
You've come a long way bro!
Oh wow he really has come a long way
Forget about Wheelie, I really enjoyed your presentation. 10/10 for your relax presentation. Thanks
why so many haters, this dudes hella cool
Well said friend!
Ya I agree and I’m watching 5 years later
Finally a basic video which is clear also for someone like mi and gives you courage to try something new! Thank you!!!
Have courage and stay safe! I didn't do a very good job in the video (but I will address it in a later one) but you need to cover your rear brake. Once you are comfortable with the balance point, move your right leg up and practice bringing the bike up, then back down with the rear brake. Have fun and stay safe!
Great instruction man. I learned to do wheelies out in the desert, found it more forgiving than concrete, and no cops to worry about.
Very easy to understand and helpful video! Thank you! Great work explaining and your vocabulary is immense!
And here is the video that got me into wheelies. Now I'm doing stunting. Wow amazing to see this again
You did a great job and didn't try to blow smoke up anyone's ass. Anyone that doesn't like or appreciate this video, doesn't have the balls or nerve to make their own video. I just bought a DRZ 400S and this was the most honest and real video I've watched on how to do a wheelie. Thanks
You've got a GREAT voice and, you're a natural at making videos. Good work man!
I remember when this video came out when I was a kid. This video was actually what I used to learn how to wheelie my dirtbikes 6-7 years ago. I’m glad that this came up on my fyp. Hope you’re doing well bro.
Dude your bike is in really good condition!!!(Love It)
Thanks mate i watch this video a year ago to learn how to wheelie and lost your channel and now i can wheelie well.
Crf wheelie tutorial: Sit as far back on the seat as possible, pull the clutch in all the way, full throttle redline, drop the clutch and pray for more than 2 inches off the ground. (Not hating, i own a crf myself)

Well idk, because i dont have a tachometer
Jimmy Alfonso lol IKR my crf has NO power at all I have to go full throttle while sitting on the back while pulling the handlebars as hard as I can
I really enjoyed your video. I've been riding for many years and this video brought back a lot of good memories. Don't be discouraged in the negative comments. The video does exactly what you set out to do! Keep up the good work and look forward to more of your videos in the near future.
Am I the only one, there's watching this vid, without having a dirt bike?

Donovan Kempf
Are you kidding me? LOL. A motorcycle can have from 1cc to even a million cc. Who are you kidding?
Jeff Ng ass I was asking how many cc his dirt bike was and I was stating that it was a 4 stroke because I'm a fan of four strokes
thank you so much bro, i tried and tried but couldnt get it so looked up how to do a wheelie clicked this video and now im doing wheelies for the whole 60 acres that i have
392 people fell off
Durin VI 455 now

tuukka laiho 497
500 now
***** 502
Finally an simple instructional vid that takes most of the mystic out of wheelies :-)
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!! A wheelie video for wimps. Ok, lets get started.
I like to wheelie on the fields. It feels more safe in a way and if you fall, you dont harm yourself that bad as you could do on the asphalt. so I recommend to try it out on the fields. :-) thanks for the video! :-D
06 yz250f wheelie tutorial for first or second gear: roll the throttle back
great video thanks :) my son got his first bike and this video was a huge help to him.. he was nervous and hearing you say its cool don't get discouraged gave him some coincidence
he is wheelie crazed now and killing my grass lol
Awesome vid Jakko, I am also terrified of wheelies but really wanting to learn. Been practicing on the mountain bike but I am still a whimp haha. Will have to try your method, cheers

But a ttr is gay af
andy viveen Its fun just to putt around on.
+andy viveen whats a beast bike to get because i was thinking about a ttr lol
rm 125 or yzf 250 or something in that class
+Tr3y57 can't learn on a powerful bike or you might die, if you have experience (not video games) go for it
I have had a dirt bike for a while and I rode it all the time but I got off for about 2 years and I just got back on yesterday and it reminded me of how fun it is to ride so I just enjoy riding it
"dudee I got busted today I'm so fuckedd" what happened?? "they gave me a verbal warning"
Lol
Shows that he can listen the first time. These are exactly the type of people verbal warnings are designed for. Tickets on the other hand....
thank you so much i actually learnt how to wheelie from you and I have watched so many videos but you are the only person who i've learnt from
"I came back down and i was like Buuhhhhaa"
I would just like to say, I really appreciate your audio being in stereo, instead of mono like a lot of headcam bike channels. :)
*talks with his hands*
*neighbors call looney bin to bring straight jackets* :)
Looks like your little sister already knows to run when she sees you coming! 😄
That's a nice sticker kit😜
That's the classic beginners standing start, legs dangling wheelie. I managed to fall off my first bike on the first day out aged 16 looping it up a slight hill using this technique. LMAO. It's definitely better to wheelie while moving and keep your feet on the pegs, right foot over the rear brake.
9:39 That escalated quickly!
Hell yeah! I'm not the only one with a dad in love with his "Sub-par" yard! I use to get in so much crap over bald spots in the yard.
how are there so many comments asking if his bike is a 2 or 4 stroke? listen to it! look at the pipe! Also that is most definitely not a ttr125. it looks like a wr250 or possibly yz250f with a road kit but most likely a wr
+ktmMX125 By the way it idles I'd say it's a WR or YZ 426 or 450
+Ryno Turner That isn't wr, i know it for sure, it's yz.
Yeah that's why I said WR or YZ man
I've been wanting to learn how to wheelie for awhile now, but was always a bit chicken lol. I'm definitely going to work on it this spring. Great video for sure. It'd be fun to ride with you! I'm riding a crf230f and it's a heavy bitch... built like a tank, but this video was informative and helpful. Cheers!
Love your protective gear.
I guess you have never hit your shin on the footpegs.
Never fell or dropped it either. should this work on a yz85
Yep
TheHuntedGhost Hell no
TheHuntedGhost yeah it will
Yep, that’s what I’ve got. It’s just a lot harder to get the bike up, and stay out of the powerband. It’s fun though once you get the hand of it.
Superb video for a mid life crisis first time enduro rider. Cheers!!!
@JakkoMoto dude... don't worry so much about offending us. The main reason I'm here is because I don't know how to wheelie and I'm scared of doing a wheelie. Edit end: Yea definitely a much better tutorial video than those I've seen so far.
I tried this today and it helps a lot. At first i wasent getting the wheel high enough but i figuered out that the balance point is a lot higher than i thought
Just learn it on a bicycle than you can transfer your kownledge on the bike. Way cheaper when you crash :-)
***** sure it helps. it took me one day to learn wheelies on my sm after 3 years wheeling on my bike. the only different thing is you dont use ur rear break that much but your throttle. maybe it helps when u do wheelies on a fixie.

I love your Led Zeppelin shirt man. Also, thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it, I'll try to do that once I get some gas (and get used to my new bike I just grew out of my old one)
U CALLIN ME A WIMP BRO?
tmac9938 haha
+tmac9938 HE CALLED ME A WIMP TOO, WHAT THE FUCK BRO
Me to😥😥😭😭
Really enjoyed this video. I am kind of new to riding, and I think this video will help. Do you have any beginner jumping videos. I would like to learn how to do that too.
I got T-boned today... It was by a 8 year old riding a homemade or very, very old bike...
Holy crap dude this was awesome just gave me confidence to go through with it I'm rocking a 125cc pit bike but I'm a small dude so its kool anyway this was very helpful I'm posting my progress from no experience whatsoever
what are those
I will give that a go on my 250cc Honda today, thanks for the awesome tutorial.
what is your bike
yamaha for sure, wr250 or yz250f or yz450f
Keep you right foot by the brake just in case you come back too far. Control how high the front tire is by using the brake and the throttle. Been stunting since 2008. Good luck!
987 people looped their bikes
i have an 01 xr100 and when i do wheelies with my legs dangling i sit in the middle of the seat and it works great but some of your tips helped me. thenks
lmao!! 7:55 almost to balance point?!?! not even close, maybe next year slugger
“slugger” lmfao
Haha, I remember the way I learned to wheelie on my dirt bike. Great video!
bro wear some gear atleast, like some boots, knee pads, and a chest protector..i dont want you getting hurt
Kinda hard when your max speed is 10 mph haha
very helpful although i can’t reach the balance point cuz my bike only goes to 8mph in first gear. but i did get my wheel up today bcuz of this video i started watching today and i’ve been trying to wheelie for the past month and my tire hasn’t came off the ground
That is 125cc ??
Probably not, I don't know a single dual-sport/supermoto that is 125cc...
+Killercoddbz Alright thanks :D
No problem
+Killercoddbz Im from Czech Republic and tere are only 125cc motos.. That is why i asked..
Andy Aruda Ahhh, I see! That makes a heck of a lot more sense. Thanks for the clarification!
I tried it with my feet dangling chasing my little sister, she did not manage to outrun the bike. But I got a great wheelie from it, thanks!
Shit i will never wheelie...
I dont heve a sister ;)
I don’t get it
I like the swingarm angle. Looks pretty cool
the easiest way to wheelie is to learn and fall on your own
Good luck on the wheelies, and don't get discouraged, it will take some practice to get it down. I can only ride a wheelie through a single gear I havent gotten to where i can shift yet. Also looking forward to that vid!
JankySixSpeed how do I keep my bike from just spinning I have a Kawasaki klx 140L
Or you could just buy a two stroke, f##k clutch wheelies
Lmao yes
Or buy a 4 stroke 450
+Cobee Rice drinks too much gas, bad for everyday use
+Diogo I use mine everday, I bought an aftermarket tank for it, tank usually lasts me a couple days
Cobee Rice mine usualy lasts me 2-3 weeks, my friend with a 2t (same size) has to fill up every 3-4 days, and we do same commute, and riding
Every body who is complaining about this video shut up this was a very good video. If you don't like it don't watch it.
Dude that made this video if you see my comment you made a awesome video it really helped thank you. Some people that make the training videos forget about the people who are just starting. Thank you :)
"easiest way to learn to wheelie"
*video is 11 minutes*
yeah. very easy.
at least its not a half hour tutorial. btw loled at your avatar

Nice as vid man, very helpful and nice bike and graphics kit
dude all i have to say is that you sir are hilarouse.!! and nice wheelie toutorial it worked great for me
Thx for the advice. Just wondering what bike you have
I love the “Chase Your Little Sister Part” Really funny
thanks a lot for your helpfull video, clear and patient way to teach how to pop up the front wheel!
