I have the D606 on the rear and MT21 Pirelli front. I heard that D606 front are not that great so I went with the recomended combo. Hope to see your reciew of them. I love the D606 rear! Great tire!
So I have ridden about 1000 km in them so far. The front and rear handle great to me. Ride at 120 kph is stable on pavement. I Air down 12 psi while in the trails. For my skill level they are superb in mud, gravel loose pack. I thought I got a pinch front flat from doing sharp boulders, but it was from an hex key that got in during the tire change. I have to say , if it wasn't for the D606 strong sidewall, I wouldn't have been able to ride home the 80 km with zero psi ...lol. rode it at 80 kph on the straight but very slow in the corners. I think they are great tires.
@@2wheelingman That's awesome! I love my D606 especially compared to the OEMs which where just horrible! They are durable too. My friend put on the tractionators which are great for traction but they didn't last very long compared to the D606. Another main reason why I got that. Glad you are enjoying them. This bike has been so much fun and as a begginer on 2 wheels it was a great bike to start with. Now that I got more experience though, I would love to have a second bike for more road/touring. I want to adventure further! Or maybe go with middle or the road bike like the upcoming XL500T they announced for next year and stay with a 1 bike stable lol. Not sure what I want to do yet! I want to do Trans Quebec and Gaspe someday. I am not for from there (in NB) so I would like something I can tour on! One day lol. Hope winter is not too long and we can get to ride again soon! Cheers and enjoy the bike!
Glad you are enjoying the bike and tires. stock tires are great for the road, but horrible in the dirt. I had the Rallz Trationator in 1st. Really loved them, but only 3600 km out of them and very expensive now. If you still have the stock suspension I recommend to upgrade to the Rally Raid shocks. Changes the bike handling and ride dramatically and you enjoy it far more.
@@2wheelingman I only did the rear shock for now. Will do the front eventually if I decide to keep the bike. I put in a Ktech rear shock sprung to my weight and what a world of difference that made. It even made the front feel better. But I still want to do the front though. Expensive compared to the back lol. I also have a suggestion for you. The front sprocket cover that comes on stock picks up a lot of mud and dirt and needs to be removed to clean out. I changed mine out for a zeta cover and I never get any build up there anymore! More of a quality of life thing but not having to take that appart every few rides makes it worth it!
You will never notice the difference unless you take both bikes to the MX track to compare and ride them as hard as you can. The level 1 performs just fine. Ktech also offers a level 1 shock for even less $$ than RR.
When offroading and the forts are at the longest stroke you need the extra slack. Also when it is compressed the line needs the extra length or it would tear

Hello, I went with level 1 spring rate to keep the stock seat height. It allows me to keep both feet on the ground. Suspension performs excellent. I am 5'10" or 1.78m and 150lb or 68 kgs

Thanks for watching. So going from 40 to 45 my top speed is 120 kph or a bit higher. The trade off is more lower end torque about 5%. You'll really notice it in 1st and 2nd gear. For what I am using the for it's perfect.
@Gary 2WHEELINGMAN thanks. Yes I’ve been considering 45T. But I just did my ECU flash first, and I’m happy with the results. I might just do 1 or 2 teeth up now.

I gotta get out there with you to do a stock vs Rally raid comp. Looking forward to some riding.

I am going to do the RallyRaid Level 1 as well still debating on Level 1 vs Level 2.
Level 2 will make the ride height taller basically. Me having a Short inseam I stayed with lv 1

@@airadaimagery692 Think will do the Level1 front and back. Also 550 ECU/Exhaust twin-air filter
@@mt1885 the ECU flash was worth every bit of the $150. It really distributes the power where it’s needed.
The 550 is worth it, even the basic flash to fix throttle response
Could you explain why the front brake line is so long and loops so high at the top? Seems unnecessarily long.

I'd go at least 3. You wont see the difference that low
