Couldn't agree more Dale, what a way to start a show, like a boxing match the first round is all important, Keef is and always has been "The Man"🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🔥🔥🔥💯
Eddie wrote his own songs with bands still covering them, created a totally unique sound, then dies as a passenger in a car. Life truly makes no sense.
I had a guy from Leicester, England live me in Texas in 83. He saw Gene Vincent after the accident and he said he was really bummed out, drunk and kept falling down because of his whole leg cast. He said he totally Rocked out.
Keith takes this great classic at a slightly slower pace than you usually hear it, & the band builds in some terrific rhythmic patterns as the song progresses… Keith on superb form here!
To all you youngins out there, if you don't know who Eddie Cochran was, let this excellent cover by Keith be your introduction. Eddie was one of the true, great early rockers and one of too many that have died far too young. So stop listening to most of the horse shit that passes for todays "popular music" and dig into the rock and blues archives, it will do you no harm!
Eddie Cochrane was "Something Else"... That car's bad looking man, get somethin' else. Here's a fact .. little known fact. When in the early days when the Beatles were being formed. it was Paul Macartney's knowing the words of Eddies' "Twenty Flight Rock" that enabled John to give Paul the thumbs up .. you're in! Twenty Flight Rock was featured in one of the best Rock And Roll Films ever. That film :~ "The Girl can't Help It" The film is worth watching for the great 1950s stars on it, many long since departed. Not just Eddie, Fats Domino, Little Richard and lots of other greats ... It's all on RUclips somewhere. Little Richard sang the film's title intro ... with words like "When she walks by, the bread slice turns to toast." Mansfield sure had a figure...
Saw this tour at the Tower in Philly and thought to myself.."if the Stones brought half this much tension to their shows".. One of the most dynamic shows I've ever seen and I've seen more than a few.
Love the way Keith is just prolonging the solo when the band obviously think they’re getting back to a verse. The band is off cause professional enough to catch up on the situation. A musician like Keith Richards has to be surrounded by professionals because he’s so unprofessional himself. That’s meant as a compliment, mind you 😂
Happy 76th Birthday Keith !!! I was 15 years old in when I saw The Rolling Stones in 1975 @ MSG Yep, my favorite band in the world. I saw The Expensive Wino's on 12/18/1988 on Keith Richards Birthday in NJ's Meadowlands Arena not to mention Bobby Keys shared that date of birth, they had the great Johnny Johnson up on stage playing piano that night and they played I Could Have Stood You Up but I did, did, didn't, yeah yeah yeah & Run Rudolph Run we where sing Happy Birthday all night - and Keith wished the audience a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year ! And what a night to remember. .. The Stones Will Roll On - Bobby Keys RIP !!!!!
This is February 13, 1993 at Boston's Orpheum Theatre. I was 7th Orchestra LEFT (Stage Right). Keef was right in front of us for his solo on this number. So, we're somewhere there in the shadows on those shots from behind Keef. Only thing that sucked was the houselights being up for the entire show to accommodate the film crew. Went back for the next night, too (Feb 14th). Keef wore a Bonsai headband throughout that show (filming was for Japanese release). Both concerts were well worth the price of admission. Gotta say, Keef blew Mick outta the water when it came to going solo, but then KR has always been the heart and soul of the Stones.
This song was covered by Keith, Led Zeppelin, the Sex Pistols, and the New York Dolls, among many others... it's probably fair to say it's one of the most influential and admired songs of the early rock n roll era.
2:56 Steve Jordan was a bad ass then and more so now as Charlie's replacement. I've seen the Stones 5 times with Steve. He is not Charlie. The Stones are still THE ROLLING STONES ! ! !
"A brand new convertible is outta my class", sings Keef. Well, HE could afford to buy every convertible in existence, but if any one of these is "outta his class" I'd be eternally grateful if he gave it to ME! (AND I'm BRITISH.)
That guy is the essence of rock'n'roll and this is a great version...
Check out the Stray Cats version at Montreux. I don't even particularly like the Stray Cats but their version is perfect.
Couldn't agree more Dale, what a way to start a show, like a boxing match the first round is all important, Keef is and always has been "The Man"🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🔥🔥🔥💯
All you young up coming guitar players take note ,,, it’s all about the feel ,, not how fast you can shred .. 😉👍
Eddie was a true superstar. What a tragedy die at 21! I saw Eddie perform live in 1958.
Eddie wrote his own songs with bands still covering them, created a totally unique sound, then dies as a passenger in a car. Life truly makes no sense.

Never stop, Keith. Keep on rocking

Wow; never knew this was out there or he had covered this rockabilly gem from Eddie C… TOO cool!!
The Best R&R song of all time.
Agreed!
KEEEEEFFF! King of slow hand blues!!
Saw this tour at the Tower in Philly and thought to myself.."if the Stones brought half this much tension to their shows"..
One of the most dynamic shows I've ever seen and I've seen more than a few.

very kewl.....never heard this cover! thanx for the share!
That fucking awesome !
Bobby Keys and Big Man Clarence brought 'sexiness' to sax playing lead instruments and vocals couldn't touch. RIP.
Wow .... just wow !!!!
Keith Richards is something else god bless him ❤
Great job Keith! Your something else!
The essence of Keith.
The entegrity of rock n' roll right there man! I had to have that jacket because of Keith!

Keith true rock and roller

Mick?😂
Incredible

Eddie Cochranes music lives on.
Somethin else.
Keith's solo=Cat sounds on the guitar. Love it
That is simply great
More rock in these 5 minutes than the past 20 years of Rolling Stones corporated concerts!
Amen!
yep. and I'm a Stones fan.
That's what happens when Mick isn't part of it.
très bonne reprise ! Il avait encore du jus et un son rock en ce temps là...
A true rocker!
Pure rock'n'roll
Keith rock’s the Eddie Cochran classic !!!!
What a terrific tribute to the Rockabilly King, Eddie Cochran!
That rythmsection drives it!
Keith on fire, saw them in 92 and it was fucking loud but clear and relaxed.....
Essence of rocknroll
Great melody
❤❤❤ love this guy
le génial keith

0:10 that footwork though
Keithy is soo sloww and sassy! Just the way I like it! He so knows how to Rock 'n Roll!
I totally agree, Eddie Cochran, a legend. Brilliant performance by Keith here and Robert Cray, etc.,
Keith can sing! Who knew?
Check out the Stone's "You Got The Silver " sung by Keith from Beggars Banquet album..... yes he can sing. He was choir boy once! Of all things.
Not to mention he's a great back up singer in all the Stones songs
Erm, everybody
Holy shit was that cool......
That was inspired!
Excellent
Best version of Eddie cochrane classic 👌
NOW THIS IS THE KING OF RIFF,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, NUF CED!!!!!!!!!!. I'M SURE EDDIE'S SMILING DOWN ON IT ALL!!!.
never had a drink in my life, always two. as
a buddy of mine wrote ´i stopped drinking at 25, worse 2 days of my life,´ brendan loughrey music
Keith did a great job on this song. Would have liked to hear it a bit faster.
Eddie invented punk 20 years before it was known as punk.
The Master .....
Keef rules!
Keef 💜 Yeah !!!!!
the Master Telecaster
The top
*QUEL MASSACRE !!!! AU SE COUR EDDIE 😢*
Eddie would be honored by Keith's dedication to the f. Kin REAL
I dont know what i was doing that was so important at that time, but i should've been there.
Just imagine if this guy ever teamed up with Mick Jagger !!
He does it better than Sid Vicious. Looks a bit like Sid would now. Not going to make any comparisons with Eddie Cochran
Different League.😝
The baritone sax makes this song ...
Eddie rules!
its the reason why MICK JGGER gave up starting a STONES COVER BAND and came back to his original band
It's only Rock'n'Roll. But I like it.
I love Eコクラン&SID ヴィシャス !
Rocknroll revolution great Eddie!
Thanks to that lovely Musicman Silouhette best guitar up in the mix !
カッコよすぎ!
若い頃のスティーブジョーダンの音、すげ〜なぁ〜
There are some beautifully cool Rock and Roll mutherfuckers, but Keef is something else.
❤️❤️❤️😊
Slooooowwww
Just my opinion but this might be Keith's best band?
カッケェじじぃだ、ああなりたいゼ、本当に。
キースカッコイイ
Little Richard do a great version
LR and Tanya Tucker...I enjoyed that version too
Zeppelin too
I have a copy of the 1965 Rolling Stones Now! Signed by Keith available on ebay if anyone's interested! Signed after a Winos show!
Nice real Rock?! 🙋
Someone slowed the recording down!
Yes. I thought it was just me - I felt the beat dragging.
Stallion
i only know the teenage head cover now i know another
2:56
Steve Jordan was a bad ass then and more so now as Charlie's replacement.
I've seen the Stones 5 times with Steve. He is not Charlie. The Stones are still THE ROLLING STONES ! ! !
Looks like Waddy Watchtell and Bobby Keys on guitar and sax.
It was
Dressed in his Sid Vicious best
Bass saxophone.Very unusual.. Isn't that Chuck Berry's drummer?
He's cool like my Dad but his guitar play is better
and only 5 strings''''''''
rip Eddie's
Well: That's The Cat's Ass....
Eddie Cochrane tribute...
Beginning sounds lie the Sex Pistols
Isn't that great?
извините, с Кокреном, пожухлый помидор, не интересно
well, ok. That's a nice version but it sounds....old. If you want to hear a band rip this tune to shreds listen to Zeppelin's Albert Hall version.
"A brand new convertible is outta my class", sings Keef. Well, HE could afford to buy every convertible in existence, but if any one of these is "outta his class" I'd be eternally grateful if he gave it to ME! (AND I'm BRITISH.)
Stray Cats & Sid Vicious did it better. This is lame.
pick up the tempo
WOW Keith richards may be looked on as a god, but this has nothing on the sex pistols version.
Oh yeah...
Johnny n'était pas au niveau
This sucks nothing to do with Rock n Roll He only ist good in drugs
