    $70K for a truck that will live 98% of it's life tooling around town is an abomination. Even a low option model comes in at the $50K mark. That's a ton of money on a depreciating asset.

      @Armando Sturzenegger the only advantage of the new Ranger is the 2.4 turbo over the 3.6na. I got the 2.5l 4cyl in the Colorado so I'm getting better mileage than I would have in the Ranger. My business doesn't require hauling of heavy stuff (pest control) so fuel economy is most important to me.
      The Colorado has a nicer interior than the Ranger too

    Update-Just a word of caution - the new 2019 Silverado-Sierra twins can NOT even be ordered or does NOT come with the “power brake and foot pedal” adjuster....Think about such a large truck without this option....If you have short legs, you have to move up the seat close to the steering wheel, which has an airbag in it.
    This is normally a pretty standard option for most trucks (GM, Ram, Ford)...I own a 2017 Silverado, but some “bean counter” within GM axed this very useful feature......why?

    • @T288-q7c
      @T288-q7c 5 лет назад +40

      Actually, truck buyers are pretty smart. Trucks are the best value propositions because no other type of vehicles offer so much for the money. They're practical, they're ruggedly built, they usually have much better resale value than cars, they have more incentives which makes them cheaper to purchases and, if you're business owner, they have tax benefits. When you think about, trucks are way cheap, and it's stupid to not see the value.
      Trucks basically can do or be anything. If you equip your average luxury with many of the features seen in this truck, you'd be pushing well over $67,000 with no problem. But what's more than that, no other type of vehicle will offer luxury car amenities while being as being as spacious, and having the ability to go off-road, and the ability to tow and haul. What other car can do that at any price??? None!

      Trucks do it all, and they're financially the smartest buys. Trucks almost never sell for MSRP, and they have the best resale values in the business. They're actually a very wise choice for most people, which is why they're popular.

    You can get 10-15K off sticker and when you go to trade them they hold their value much better then say a Sedan. I bought a Ram and kept it four years. I traded it in for 13K less then I paid for it. 13K over a 4 year period is a low cost per month. with the only money I had to spend was a set of tires during that time.

    2019 will be the year that Chevy falls to the number three spot in sales behind Ford and Ram. Count on it. And I am a Ford Man.But I love the new Ram. It will take some sales away from Ford, but Ford will stay number one.New Ford coming in 2020 it better be good.

    This is a very masculine and attractive truck. I can’t decide which looks better...this or the 2019 Sierra. They’re definitely the best looking of their respective segments! The grille is absolutely beautifully done. The stance is mean, perfect and the truck looks huge! The RAM has a more luxurious interior but it just isn’t as reliable as this. Silverado is luxurious enough and done beautifully without over doing it. If I was shopping in the segment GM could take my money tonight!

    67k For something that is 10 years behind on technology... ? Uhh no thanks. The interior looks like a car of at last 10 years ago. Styling is a total mess as well, both outside and inside... Good grief, all those lines are messy and inconsistent. Americans buy this for that money?? Twice the price of a luxury SUV... Or a full option Range Rover Evoque for the same money... If I really really needed a truck (not just to look cool) then the very very cheapest possible, and spend the rest on something decent...
