i came looking fornthis video and clicked on this video for the title, to hear the worst bits of bangladesh and it seems people were generally nice and warm to him. I came here from an india subreddit where there was a video of a somalian guy in a restuarant and the indians sat on his table uninvited, called his a pirate, asked if he has worms in his hair, asked if he was a negra, asked if he wanted to go washroom and wash his hair etc. and the indians in the subreddit were excusing their behavious ebcause they "didnt know".
@@Professional_RUclips_CommenterYes, I watched the video just today. It was really disgusting and the poor vlogger literally left his meal unfinished due to their sickening behaviour.
This is the Blackman the traveler that we know! A lone brother roaming and mingling with the locals. This is one of your best videos Amir! Assalamualaikum from Nigeria
Everywhere you go you fit right in. You also don’t come off as annoying Western tourist. I can’t speak on race but I’ll just emphasize that good people are good people and ur fam raised you well
Is it common to eat with your hands in Bangladesh? I know a lot of places don't use utensils so I'm just curious. Was a bit of a shock to see you go in hands-first 😂
Yes, it is very common in Bangladesh. Due to inflation, it is cheaper to eat with hands than plastic spoons. And predominantly in most Muslim countries, they consume food with their right hand after washing them because the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) thought the muslim community to eat with their hands & saying God's name for blessings before placing food in their mouth. So, they practice this religious tradition. Among elite or upper-class restaurants in Bangladesh, they have fork & knives, but neither would people mind if one were to eat with sanitized hands. Certain foods that need spoons, such as soups, ice cream, or stews, for example, spoons, are often provided occasionally or if requested from waiters at the restaurant or if they have any available on premises.
@@halalfoodtours3673 That makes sense and it's actually super admirable that they'd rather not enable all that waste and trash by using utensils for everything. Also showing appreciation for the food you do have/get is awesome. Thank you for the information and response!
Yo. I enjoyed seeing some shots of Dhaka and BD but it would be good if you did some more research and explained where you were or found someone who could give you some more contextual info. Otherwise it can come across as random travelling to create content - maybe that's cool? I mean I watched it 😂 but seriously brother you need to stop the shouting in accents! Getting classic westerner on holiday vibes at times
Hey… The kids paid 20taka they told the rickshaw driver you’ll pay him another 80taka - that’s a mere 70p!! So you actually underpaid the poor man. You paid him 40p ‘tip’ for pulling you around! Poor guy! You underpaid him and then swore at him!
I wish I could help you as I am spending some free time. But to be honest, I am living in the northern part of Dhaka. Most of the historical places and the traditional foods are in the southern part of Dhaka city. You already visited these parts. I dont know why you visited a random restaurant, You could visit the "Hazi Biriyani" Which is a famous restaurant in Dhaka's history. So if you will come to the "UTTARA, DHAKA" Please inform me. I hope I can guide you as a local with fluent English.
I am a Bangladeshi in Sylhet. I am happy to see your videos. Thanks for travelling my country .one thing did you notice in London chicken fries , burgers are very cheap , but Bangali dishes like Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Tandoori or any curries in Bangaladeshi restaurants in UK are a bit expensive compare to fast food. But here in Bangladesh you will find quite opposite . Chicken & Chips are food for Rich people in Bangladesh but curry like masala dishes are for poor people :) besides KFC in London are very normal , very small but here in Bangladesh you will see KFC is quite big and nicely decorated . also you know bank in London , Halifax, HSBC or any other Bank, their staff are very normal , but here when you enter any private bank, you will see banks and staffs look a bit luxury :) . Bytheway Sir! apologise on behalf of Bangladeshi that Rikshaw Driver tried to cheat you . We Bangladeshi are very friendly and we care our guest very much , we could have given you nicer hospitality if our people could understand english
There was a misunderstanding, the kids agreed to a price with the rickshaw driver for Blackman the traveller. The agreed to 80taka for him, but their was a miscommunication, so on all ends there was a miscommunication. The driver wasn’t trying to swindle him.
How come you switch your camera off when it comes to paying. You making other people with you pay for your things it’s wrong what you doing always want freebiz
I had good experiences of visiting Asia including Bangladesh...minus India where the people can be rather annoying.
India is full of scammers
Sadly india is becoming a very nasty country and the bjp govenrment , more right Wing and that makes people very hostile and unwelcoming .

Unfortunate situation. But seems like the kids agreed for you to pay 80 although the audio wasn't too clear.
Amirs gained the ability to conquer sound and smells, great experience but woooow that place is so chaotic.
