Much agreed . The eighties were a time of explosion in culture and music. Boy, I wish I grew in it at times. The original Thomas was the heart of my childhood and only saw the modern take on shows like Fireman Sam wnd Postman Pat. But now I appreciate the older shows always so much more and that of the themes. They are aren’t kiddish like now a days, they’re art.
Born in 1996 I am very thankful I was probably part of the very last generation of children to witness these old shows in stop motion pre CGI. Kids now probably prefer CGI and it does look better granted but can't beat the nostalgia for those of us who have grown up on the old stuff!

Back when the shows actually respected the kids' potential cleverness, but today, they focus way too much to respect them, that at the end, I can easily say that they are being purely hypocritical.
They usually never outright stated the morals in shows like sam or thomas in the older episodes and respected the viewers intelligence. To put it short they didnt think we were stupid.

I grew up with the cgi version then one day I discovered the 87’ version and I never went back to the Cgi version after that day 😂
Back when the shows actually respected the kids' potential cleverness, but today, they focus way too much to respect them, that at the end, I can easily say that they are being purely hypocritical.
They usually never outright stated the morals in shows like sam or thomas in the older episodes and respected the viewers intelligence. To put it short they didnt think we were stupid.
I love the 80’s rock pop into that song. I love the original Fireman Sam more so than the CGI one.

I really wish there was more animation of models. On the bright side, 2D animation on flash has gotten to the point where it isn't horrible to look at.
