Ride. Take care of self before watching guys that don't care to know their fans. I wish and pray for the very best for you Dave. Your story is so familiar to me. I always enjoy watching you do your thing and getting your ride in. Just got new knees. 9 weeks ago. 10 on Thursday. Your positive vibe keeps me going. I will be getting on my Recumbent this week for the 1st time in months. Thank you for being an inspiration and to always see the good and giving your advice. Thank you Dave and God Bless You
Thanks so much Paul! Congratulations on the new knees and that's great that you'll be getting out on the trike! I'm curious, has the doctor or physical therapist talked to you about recumbent vs. DF bike riding? It seems I've heard that riding a recumbent is encourage whereas riding a traditional bike is not. Do you know if this is correct? And is there a "break in" period for the new knees? I'm guessing you can't go out and ride 40 miles on the first day. How long does it take for them to get to the point where you can "just ride?"
I would like to see you ride some of your favorite trails when the trees start changing color. I love listening to your ramblings, pearls of wisdom pop out whether you planned to say them or not. Just for the record, I would go for a ride. Football can be recorded and watched later. Just be sure you don't look at the scores by accident. Keep on pedaling!
Hi Kelly. Unfortunately because of the lack of rain, we really had no color season this year. And it's been weird but in the past I've wanted to do a video about the colors but while the trees on the roads and elsewhere looked great, for some reason along the trail they don't change much. They just eventually turn brown and drop off the trees. But as us Cub fans say, "Maybe next year!" And thanks for the "pearls of wisdom" comment. I'm not too sure about how much wisdom I've spoken, but I appreciate the comment. And yes regarding football. You also have to avoid text messages from people saying things like, I can't believe they won.Or if you're a Bears fan, lost.
I enjoy just listening to you while you are riding on your trike. I am sorry that your health isn’t what it should be but you perserve and that is what I like about your dialogue.
G'day David..... I haven't words to encapsulate your impact with your shared rides , your philosophy, and how fantastically you're coping with your health challenges. Your inspiration is inexpressible ! Thanks , David. So, to prescribe a addition.... ... a tree is always unique. !.....One doesn't " change " it... it can be admired as it is, how it is. So , with your videos..... Just share your rides and spontaneously rambles.... no change required ! I love them. As for your health insurance in the USA...... I can just say how our health support in Australia seems to be a few notches up from the general experiences that I've read about in the USA. Still, there are recurrent attempted ' conservative ' dilutions even here. Such a discussion will take us down a rabbit hole that would amaze even Alice. I desist. So.... back to triking. After incessent rain, I finally got out on my trail along the lake edge..... so good. Apart from every designer dog owner littering the track with their presence of tangled leads and singularly unresponsive companions. But still good to soak in the passing jungled foliage and lake view. I must send you some photos of ' my track ' , sometime. Your infectious sparkle is backdropped with your wonderful trail.... and your ' rambles ' from your spirit are beyond camparison...... So....... just keep on doing what your doing, David. From many comments preceding this, it is quite evident that therein is the golden core of your presentations. Thank you, David. ........ Ray.... in Oz.
G'day Ray! How are you my friend? Thank you for the plethora of compliments but if you continue like that you're going to turn my head. You are right. The healthcare system here in the US needs a lot of fixing and unfortunately, myself even with the help of the others here aren't going to fix it. so let's stick to triking. I'm glad to hear you finally got out. That first ride after being cooped up always feels great. And I'd love to see some pictures of where you ride!
G'day again, David.... I'll snap a few photos when the weather clears up.... a bit stormy on the mid east coast of Oz right now..... and more ahead..... and I'll attach them to an email to you, down the track. And you keep superlatively firing as you ' best ' your current challenges . You ARE going so well, David..... There are many pushing at your back....... mind you, your cadence is wishful over my way. :)) Thanks for your reply. ..... catchya down the tracks ..... Ray.
Another cool video… I just love to hear you talk, no matter what the subject is. You have a great speaking voice, and your positive attitude is always, always a pleasure to see. Since you’ve done several videos, you’ve probably covered just about everything that we need to know about trikes. I remember as a beginner, my favorite videos were the ones about essentials to bring along on your ride. (Cool background music. 😊)
Hi JeffreyAnn! Thanks for the compliments. I think I've covered all I can think of for beginning trikers. Personally, I like doing the "5 Things" videos I've done. You'll see evidence of that coming up soon.
David, I'm the worst person for a brain to pick for trike topics. I'm amazed that any trike video makers come up with so many ideas. Your videos are always really great, so in my opinion, if you just talk about your life and all that's happened to you, and just keep telling us how much you love riding, that'll be fine with me. Hoping your health continues to be as good as it can be. You inspire so many of us. Thanks for all you've done here on YT. Oh, by the way, a fan at Soldier Field held up a bedsheet sign years ago that said it perfectly: "Chicago, home of more dog teams than the Yukon".
lol, I like the bedsheet phrase! And thanks for the support but I have to admit, I feel self-conscious just talking about myself. I can talk about things that have happened to me if I think others can gain from hearing it, but just talking about myself seems too much like self aggrandizement.
@@DavidRidesaTrike I understand your feeling about talking about yourself. When some people do it, it can seem arrogant even if they don't intend it that way. But I loved your story about the Kancamagus Highway and the colorful way you told it, and I'm sure you have many more great ones stored away in your brain after years of living on this crazy planet.
So happy to have been a part of this beautiful day with you David! Thank you for sharing the photo and choosing the perfect spot for the picnic. Looking forward to seeing the fall colors coming soon along your ride!
Hi Debbie! Yes, it was a fun day. Seems like a thousand years ago now, doesn't it? I don't think we're going to get any colors this year. We started getting some a few weeks ago and that was it. I think because we had so little rain other than a couple massive downpours.
First, glad you are doing well and still out riding. Second, it doesn't matter what you talk about, I love watching your videos and do so as soon as I see the notification. Lastly, insurance companies care about ONE thing.....their profits. It is sad that the doctor agrees the 2 treatments but the insurance won't pay for 2 at the same time, even if it means it will work. I have the same issues with my diabetic supplies and have to jump thru hoops everytime my doc wants to change something, and that is nowhere near as urgent as the treatments you are going thru. All I can say is I hope it all works out. Sounds like you have a good team of docs in your corner and you are a fighter!
Hi Alan and thanks for the compliments. Sadly, you are correct on your third point. It's really ridiculous that they (the insurance companies) can get away with what they do. Yet, here we are. My current chemo has me taking 5 pills, twice a day for a week and then a week off. Then repeat. I am supposed to take an anti-nausea med with each does so that would be 28 pills a month. Insurance will only pay for 18. It's really crazy. Fortunately my doc prescribes a different med that they would pay for and it seems to work so that was fairly easily remedied. But as you well know, dealing with the insurance company becomes a full time job and it shouldn't be that way.
I’m very new to your channel and am enjoying it very much! You may have covered this in other videos, but I’d be interested in trike sites you frequent, vendors you have found helpful, book or periodicals that encourage you, that kind of thing. All the best!
Hi Jason and thanks! I honestly doesn't do a lot of "trike research" as my channel tries to focus more on the benefits of cycling rather than the trike itself. For most of my information I get it from my dealer (Amlings Cycle, Niles, IL) and from the main trike manufacturer's websites such as ICE, HP Velotechnik, Catrike, TerraTrike, etc. I also watch a lot of RUclips videos about triking.
Love your rambling, would like to see more front views while you ramble we only get to see where where you been. With luck (sorry probably is not a good word choice) the new treatment will be the one. Watching your videos keeps me going when I 'am on the exercise cycle and can't get out to ride.
Hi Nick and thanks. I've been wanting to do a video on my shop for over a year but the owner keeps telling me he's just too busy. I'll keep trying though!
Hey Dave! Good Luck wit the treatment, hopefully it will wipe out the cancer! I actually didn't go for a ride yesterday but went to a Renn Faire to meet up with some friends I haven't seen in a year +. I tired out my puppy there yesterday with all the walking and talking. Jack is 16 months old now and about 18lbs... There were a lot of dogs there yesterday and Jack did great, didn't bark back at the 2 yappy dogs that were barking at him. He played with a same aged pup who was 80 pounds heavier then him and wasn't scared. Was a good day...now I am getting ready to go for a ride. Be Strong!
Hi Deryk. I hope you enjoyed your ride. It's great to get your pup completely tired out like that isn't it? Mine is coming up on 14 months but still very much a puppy. She loves to play and is pretty submissive so she gets along with just about all dogs. She's not submissive to the point where she's afraid. More like when she meets a new dog and the other dog is unsure because mine is so excited and active, mine just rolls over on her back with her belly up and looks at the other dog with an "okay, happy now?" look on her face and then all is good.
Hi David, I don't suppose you remember, but I used to ride an Ice adventure HD. It was destroyed in a collision. I now ride a jorvik mountain trike, totally different but I enjoy it, and a lot cheaper than the recumbent. Great video by the way 👏
@@DavidRidesaTrike hi David, it's an upright trike, I think they call them delta trike , four inch wheels. Not has stable or comfortable has a recumbent, but you get used to it
David, I have not seen your earlier videos but perhaps a history of what you have done in life aside from visiting Dr's etc? What you did for a living etc etc.
Hmm, thanks but I'm not sure anyone would really care that much. Plus, I like to try and keep my videos more toward motivating people to get out and move. Although one or two that go outside that box couldn't hurt.
Hi David. Good video as usual. I hope your new chemo treatment does the trick! I would always chose doing something outside on a good day vs anything on TV. Just tape it! That being said my spouse watches a lot of sports but he’ll go out with me as long as he catches the end of the game and tapes it. Your videos are terrific. I love seeing the trail on video since I can’t get up that far north on my own. Two things as a newer trike owner I’d love to hear about is tires. I have what came with my trike and worried about how they are going to hold up on the various surfaces on the trail. Pavement, dirt , crushed limestone and my absolute favorite…gravel. Why do they use that anyway?. The other thing I’ve been thinking about is trike maintenance. I do check my tire pressure weekly but what about suspension pumps, and all this dust generated by the trail. What should be maintained weekly, monthly etc. Also pics or montage of. The animals you have encountered on the trail? Or have y our ever brought Althea? Ps. Yay Stacey Greenhill for the flag!,🎉
Hi Colleen. Didn't you get a rack or something so you could transport your trike? I don't really like doing an "informational" video unless I am really knowledgeable on the topic. That holds true for both tires and maintenance. I know I really like my tires, Schwalbe Marathons because they're really good on the trail (regardless of surface) and very puncture resistant. But that's about the extent of my knowledge. Regarding maintenance, again I know a few things and I did put out a spring tune-up video in (I think) 2021. But I don't know enough about suspension inflation or other topics so I stay away from them. And I know people who LOVE gravel! As a matter of fact, over the past maybe 10 years gravel bikes have become very popular. Like you, I'm not too sure what the appeal is.
Yes I did get carrier but turns out I still don’t have upper body strength or hand strength to get the bike on and off the darn thing. I know how to get it all set up and strapped in etc but still have to lift. At the DRAT ride your son helped me after the ride. He lifted it like nothing. 😂
Well you got it David, I'd go for the ride, good video Dave thanks for sharing I'm installing a new 500watt hub motor on my trike soon I'll be riding Happy Trails Dave from Paul Northern California.God Bless Later.🙏
@@DavidRidesaTrike I installed a 500watt on a sunseeker fat tad trike, I've been having problems with the peddle assist on it. We will figure it out, my Ice trike has been running fine only problem I've 10 year on that wheel and it's gone in to an oval shape and bounces me around to much, with spinal problems you don't need that.Best to you Dave. Paul🙏
Great wind quintet intro! Brings back memories when I played flute. I'm glad you are still producing these ride documents. I know it must be getting difficult. I haven't been able to ride the last 10 days due to knee problems, and it's driving me crazy. So sorry about the insurance coverage problems. Really s#$ks. Grok those beautiful days for riding! As for football, I'm a University of Texas alum and retired from there as a staff member, and I'm also a Cowboys fan, having grown up in Fort Worth. Both are kind of a curse as a fan.
Hi Curt. Finding the "right" music for a video is always important to me. And I'm not running out of things to talk about, I was just looking to see if there was a topic that many of you wanted to see and I just hadn't thought of yet. It doesn't appear that there is. My son went to Mizzou from 2007 - 2011 when they had a pretty good rivalry with TX. Then everyone started jumping conferences because like with the insurance companies, it's all about the money.
David....Can you do a video of your setup. i.e., Camera, mike, etc. I am getting a recumbent bike and I would like to record while I am riding. Do you use a drone? if so, what is the model? Thanks.
Hi, I have done a video on my cameras that I use. The thing about doing a video like this is that I have to be filming the cameras while they're filming. To answer your basic questions, the camera I use when I'm talking to the camera is a DJI Pocket 2 and it's handheld. I'm holding the camera in one hand and steering/braking with the other. I don't use a drone. I use a GoPro MAX 360° camera for the shots that look like I'm using a drone. There are links to all my gear in the video description each week.
My current heart health has put a damper on my trike riding. My heart ablation will be done next Tuesday (September 27) as long as the blood clot on my Watchman has "melted" away. But your posts always give me something to look forward to on Mondays. I would try not to lock myself into just one genre. And I think you're pretty good at not doing that, David. I enjoy hearing your insight on all the different topics you have vlogged (Is that a word?) about. Keep up the good fight and... Keep on Triking!
I had a heart ablation about three years ago and never looked back. My first experience with an elevated heart rate it was suggested by my doctor that it was probably an anxiety attack......never been anxious before that. so for four years the rapid heart rate would come and go and it could last 30 seconds or 5 minutes until my HR hit 203 while working out and it would not come down....my wife said enough...called 911 and it took two doses of adenosine to "stop" and restart my heart....had the ablation 2 month later and never had another challenge with it....good luck with your ablation
This is actually my second heart ablation. I had one several years ago for Aflutter. It was successful, but I still was dealing with my Afib. On August 16, 2022, I had a heart attack caused by the Afib... Type II- MI. I spent three days in the hospital with numerous test being done. My heart specialist felt it was time for the next ablation. Just had blood drawn this morning for pre-procedure levels.
Thanks Tom. I try to vary things but I don't like to stray too far from my goal of motivating people to get out and move their bodies. And thanks for the kind words. Hopefully your heart issues will be addressed and you'll be able to get back out on the trike soon!
David, I watch all of your videos regardless of the topic. Maybe a video series on snacks and drinks you take on rides. If you cook, you could stop at a park and prepare a simple snack. We get limited sunshine this time of year and football can be recorded and watched later. It was sunny this weekend, we didn’t get a chance to ride but we got to tour a bunch of remodeled homes around our area (too far for us to ride between). We spent time together doing things we both enjoy and that is most important to us.
Hi Dan. You've got it right, the doing things that are important to you part. I don't do much cooking and honestly, I typically bring some fig bars with me and that's about it. I still have plenty of ideas. I was just wondering if there was a common topic a lot of folks anted to see.
Great ride and video. Any topic you choose or even just rambling is a wonderful experience for us followers. We love to see you happy, healthy and out there just doing it. Wasting an entire afternoon of gorgeous weather to watch a game inside is not a choice for me. I am a New Englander and obviously a Patriots fan big time but there is no way I give up a gorgeous Sunday. When they started disrespecting the national anthem and kneeling in pro sports I just stopped watching. It was 75/sunny here today. I went out and rode 35 miles this afternoon. Btw…as a retired doctor,I sympathize with the insurance hassles you had. I retired 15 years ago as I just couldn’t deal with insurance companies dictating treatment then having to explain the craziness to patients. I just walked away. Stay healthy and keep posting. We just want to see you out there and communicating with us.
Hi Mark. Yeah sitting in on a gorgeous Sunday to watch football is hard to do. I actually stopped watching football a few years ago because it was just getting too violent. I'm a guy who grew up with Dick Butkus and I alway loved football, but now the players are so strong and so fast and so big that you literally could not watch a game where someone didn't get seriously injured. I got to the point where I just said, this is not even a sport anymore. It's just carnage. So I gave it up for a while but I'm kinda back now. I'll watch every now and then. And yep, the insurance companies torment both the patients and the healthcare providers. It's so damned frustrating.
@@DavidRidesaTrike weather is changing rapidly here now. Beautiful, cool fall riding weather. Sunlight changing dramatically. The last thing I want to do is waste a gorgeous day sitting inside watching guys get pummeled. I was such an avid fan for so many years but professional sports has just degenerated into a cash enterprise. Still a Red Sox fan forever. Watching Red Sox/Yankees hoping to see Aaron Judge hit #61. I remember seeing Maris hit# 61 against Tracy Stallard in 1961!
@@DavidRidesaTrike I was at Fenway in September 1961 with my grandfather and saw Maris and Mantle hit homers in that crazy rush. Mantle hit 54 and Maris 61.
Hi and thanks! It's an ICE Sprint X Tour with e-assist, a Rohloff Speedhub and front suspension. I wanted full suspension but there was some kind of communication snafu. But it's a great trike and I live it.
As per what you should feature on your videos, I think you should just do trains of thought commentary during you rides, like you are mostly doing now. I appreciate your perspectives. Don't really need bike reviews, etc. Can get those elsewhere. I really appreciate your thoughts on riding from your place in life right now. I, and perhaps others, are learning and are encouraged by your videos. Carry on, David.
@@DavidRidesaTrike I understand completely… I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s about a year ago, had a couple of falls on my regular bike so I recently got a trike and am really enjoying it. Thanks from your encouraging to keep on pushing forward! Much appreciated brother.
@@doghouseRMV So glad you were able to find an alternative to a bike. I've heard and read that cycling can actually help slow down or even reduce the effects of Parkinson’s. Do you know if this is true?
@@DavidRidesaTrike yes, exercise is essential and is the only documented way to slow down the progression of Parkinson’s disease…since my wife no longer allows me to drive, my trike is my best method to get out and enjoy the day. I live in Southern California so there are some nice trails and little (no) rain! Keep on riding David! You are my inspiration! 😎👍🏼🚴🏽♂️
Also include up-close nature inanimate and animal observations and details. "Guidance tour of your trike path world," could be multiple and endless highlighted details of your trike travels. Even if staying seated, while including variable details!
Hi Gary. Thanks for the suggestions. The wildlife one(s) could be difficult because most animals take off when I or any other riders or people on the path get close. Aspects of the trail might be fun. Thanks!
Have you ever considered putting different tires on the trike to compensate for the gravel surface you ride? I have the Schwalbe Marathon Plus, and they're great on pavement but rough on gravel, as I have no front suspension. Thinking about the Schwalbe Little Joe mtb type tires for the front, for the gravel trails.
Hi Mike. I have Schwalbe Marathons on mine and they're great on the trail. My trail is actually crushed limestone which is pretty gentle on my tires. I get really good mileage out of them too because the trail is less degrading to them than pavement. I've gotten close to 8,000 miles on them.

@@conniehoyle2669 As long as the snow doesn't bury us I'll be okay. Granted, extreme cold isn't my cup of tea either but I can handle riding in the 30s or even 20s.
First, your insurance company sucks. That’s all I’m going to say. Secondly, I only watch one football game a year and I ride prior to the game which comes on at 1pm in the afternoon here. Not even up for discussion. Ride first. Thirdly, you don’t want to make a video for us followers. We’re aready subscribed and will watch what ever you have to say. To get more or new viewers you have to provide a unique angle on triking. But David my friend, that’s tough to do week after week. You do a great job as it is. But, there’s only so much to say. I’m on hiatus until something new and interesting comes to my mind or I ride to a unique location. I don’t push it. Just do your great job of being honest , forthright, and genuine. We love it. Aloha.
Thanks Bob. Now I'm curious. What is the one game that you watch? As for insurance companies, sadly, it's the same with all of them. When I had this discussion with my oncologist I asked if it's just my insurance and he said, "No, they all follow the same guidelines and unfortunately I've been down this road many time." And regarding a topic, it's not so much that I'm running out of ideas. Rather, I wanted to see if there was something that I hadn't thought of that a bunch of you would say, "do a video on this … " I'll just keep doing what I"m doing.
First, I've felt the following regarding health insurance companies since the mid-1970s: No insurance company should ever trump the decision of any physician. All treatments available should be allowed. I am very anti-football. A ride will always take precedents over anything on TV, especially commercial sports at any level. You've talked about how it can be difficult to get out the door and take a ride. Have you ever just had a "crappy" ride? I injured my knee about a month ago. My orthopedic specialist said it would be beneficial to ride. I wanted to get out and ride. But, after 6 miles, my heart wasn't in it. My knee felt fine, but I just lost interest. I kicked myself afterwards for three days and did take the trike out again. But, for some reason, that initial ride was a downer.
Hi Al, you'd think that would be the rule when it comes to insurance but sadly, it is not and it's only getting worse. Regarding football, I always enjoyed it until about 20 years ago. The players have become so big and strong and fast which has made it really dangerous. It's very unusual these days to watch a game where at least one player isn't seriously injured. As for a crappy ride, I really don't think I can say I've had one. I've had rides that weren't spectacular, but I honestly think that each time I've gone out on my trike I've come home feeling better than when I left.
I hope you saw the Cardinals vs the Raiders on 9/18. The first half sucked (for the Cardinals) but the second half was really REALLY exciting - for the Cardinals fans. Stay well. 🙏🙏
Well, I'm not a football fan so I'd be riding and hoping that most of the drivers would be home watching the game! The last couple of weeks here have been gorgeous -- low humidity, coolish temps and gentle breezes. My rides have been great except my trike is making noises it shouldn't. As soon as I can figure out how to transport it, I'll have to get it to a bike shop. I can very much relate to your remarks about health insurance companies and USA health care in general. I also went thru a similar situation when I was on chemo. As far as I'm concerned, you can talk about anything that suits your fancy. Guess that's not much help for you. I'd likely struggle to find things to talk about if I were in your place.
The consensus here definitely is all in favor of riding! I have to admit I suspected that. And I hate noises from my trike. Especially when I can't isolate where they're coming from. Hopefully you'll get your noise issues resolved.
Me too! Strange noises that should be there. One of them was funny. I have a metal water bottle holder and fenders. When I turn a corner one direction it was vibrating on the fender. One mystery solved for me!😂
going for ride unless is the superbowl and the home team is playing or underdog team that havent won . like when the philadelphia eagles won . did you see it .
Riding on Super Bowl Sunday around here is almost never a good day to ride. Typically it's freezing and there's a lot of snow on the ground, so that day I'll stay in and watch the game. And yes, I always see the Super Bowl.
Unfortunately the healthcare industry is about making money and not about patient care😡 Always ride. Dont care about football at all. Love the shirt. Topic suggestion: talk about your dog and how your life has improved since you have her. Who doesn't love to talk about their dogs???🤣
Hi Debbie, yes, that's the sad truth about our healthcare system. And I know YOU'D enjoy me talking about my dog, but I'm not sure how many others would.
@@debbieschwartz3132 I would really like to make a video about all the dogs I've met. The problem is I'd have to stop for each one, ask permission to film or take a picture, etc. It would make for a good video but a lot of my rides would be constantly interrupted.
Talk about health care advocacy. You have had a lot of experience navigating the US health care system so you might have advice for others trying to get the best care they can get. For instance my case...in our small town doctors come and go so I am having trouble with continuity. Could that be a problem for me. This is just an example of what you could discuss with your viewers.
Hi Bruce. That's a great idea. However, I only know what I've been through. And while I've learned a lot about navigating the healthcare system over the years, I am by no means an expert and I don't want to give out information that's simply based on my opinion and not facts and evidence.
Football? Please no. Topics? I like the rambling but mostly just seeing you is a treat. If you remember any tales from Dead shows, I’m sure they’d be entertaining. Health? I hope this chemo helps your lung and that the tumor in your leg stays small or goes away altogether. I guess you don’t want to get political but healthcare should be a human right and you deserve both treatments. I know of one political party that cares about people over corporations and perhaps you could encourage your American subscribers to be sure to vote in the November 8th midterm election! Okay, enough of MY rambling (rant?). Beautiful music today, thanks. Love and appreciate you!
Hi! C'mon, I know you're a big football fan. You can admit it. Okay, yes, I'm joking. I think stories from Dead shows would amuse a few folks here, but not sure how many. And yes, our healthcare system is definitely broken. However, I want to stay close to my channel's goal of getting people, especially those who need it, outside and moving to benefit themselves. Maybe a separate politics channel? 😎
I use to watch football but now I don’t want to watch and waste a beautiful day. Talk a little bit more about yourself your hobbies what you like, . I. Kayaked for many years and then my elbow got tendinitis. So I hiked and rode my bike. When I had balance issues I built and started riding trikes. What did you do for a living. I could see you being a teacher or a professor.
One thing about football over the last 20 or so years is that these guys have gotten so big, so strong and so fast that I don't know if you can watch a game without seeing someone getting a major injury. Sometimes it's really kind of gruesome to watch. And thinks for the ideas!
Americans have the highest health care costs in the world but we get mediocre care thanks to the health insurance industry and the politicians they own
American healthcare really sucks. The insurance companies have ruined it. Not much you can do but I think Americans need to take a long hard look at their current system. Most likely never going to happen. Regarding the ride v watch football debate, it's no surprise I'd go for the ride every time. You could even say walk, swim, or anything that involved something active rather than passive. Concerning the content, I think your best videos are when you ramble and give your opinions on something. I'd like t watch you talk about topical subjects as you ride without necessarily referencing trikes, bikes, or riding. This could potentially open the channel up to a much larger audience. Failing this how about doing the latest Tik Tok style videos around your trike? :)
Yes, our healthcare system is really in need of a fix and QUICKLY! Honestly I do enjoy just riding and rambling, but my intent with the channel was to and still is, to get those who really might benefit from riding out and moving. Therefore, I generally do want to stick to trikes, bikes and getting out.
@@DavidRidesaTrike Not at all into sports here..., but a TV game can be recorded. Recumbent trike riding is always returning to our childhood at a magnum, 10-fold level! We have not always been aware that we could SO return to our childhood! However, we now know that we can!!!

But as us Cub fans say, "Maybe next year!"
And thanks for the "pearls of wisdom" comment.
Thanks, I appreciate it. Sometimes just talking about whatever comes to mind is a good thing.
Thanks for your reply.

I'd ride too. Especially when it's the pathetic Bears playing your team. 😳

Hi Alan. Next week's video should please you!
Great video David. How about a video about the shop where you bought your trike.
Great video by the way 👏
Hi Mike. I do remember. What is a Jorvik mountain trike? How is it different from the standard trikes we ride?

Do you know when they'll do it? Is it a major procedure?

Rather, I wanted to see if there was something that I hadn't thought of that a bunch of you would say, "do a video on this … " I'll just keep doing what I"m doing.
lol, I like it!!
I don't even want royalties. Just send me a digital copy.
Stay well. 🙏🙏
No, I can't remember what our second game was here but it wasn't that one. I think it was Pittsburgh.

@@DavidRidesaTrike I bet you'd be pleasantly surprised how many cyclists are also dog people...🐕
@@debbieschwartz3132 I would really like to make a video about all the dogs I've met. The problem is I'd have to stop for each one, ask permission to film or take a picture, etc. It would make for a good video but a lot of my rides would be constantly interrupted.
@@DavidRidesaTrike I love that idea...do it
@@debbieschwartz3132 I have to find a way to make it less time consuming.
Americans have the highest health care costs in the world but we get mediocre care thanks to the health insurance industry and the politicians they own
Agreed on all points.
Go bicycling
I will!
I would ride. Don't follow sports here.
Hi Gary. I don't think a single person here has chosen watching football! I anticipated riding being the winner, but not in a wipeout like this.
@@DavidRidesaTrike
Not at all into sports here..., but a TV game can be recorded.
Recumbent trike riding is always returning to our childhood at a magnum, 10-fold level!
We have not always been aware that we could SO return to our childhood!
However, we now know that we can!!!
