How difficult was the process of getting tickets in Aguas Callientes for Machu Picchu? I am
Traveling Thursday and will be in Aguas Friday at 11am, would I go straight to the ministry of culture to get a ticket or do I get a group number and come back the next day ? Any help would be appreciated
From our experience we went directly to the office as soon as we arrived into Aguas Calientes to get a number. We used that number to back to the office (when it was open for ticket sales) that SAME day to buy tickets from the NEXT day. Hope that helps!

Thank you for watching! I went in mid November last year right before they closed in late 2022. We got really lucky with the timing and had no issues.

Full disclosure… I left another comment on your Cairo video. Seemed like you were miserable there. I really appreciate how you delve into lodging, food options, and sights here. Hope you guys didn’t have any problems in Peru, we were there last year for a month, in the Valle Sagrada / Cusco region and then the Amazon. There were murmurs of this year’s unrest bubbling up.
