    Your fusion of power with grace is awesome and inspiring! In my 5th month of practice, successfully held crow pose 4 breaths for the first time and immediately after got both heels on the ground in downward dog for the first time :) On a HUGE yoga-high, thank you so much for sharing your practice with me!! Keep kickin ass. Lots of love - Namaste

    I think this is one of my favorite yoga practices. I started doing yoga about 6 months ago, because it got recommended to me for stress relief and for my bad posture and neck pains. I sit taller now and have more strength and energy. I loved this video and I'll definitely come back. I still have to work on crow pose and half moon and worrier 3 poses, because I'm still really shaky. But I'm getting so much more flexible and it's making me happy. Thanks 😊

    I had been wanting to try yoga but was sooooo stiff. Even as a child I was stiff. Though I knew yoga would help with that I was still afraid that I wouldn't be able to do any of the moves. It's been 4 weeks, going on 5 this week, since I started watching your vids. I can now bend and reach my toes and sit and reach them which I never could do. Small step but it shows progress!!

    I really like your videos, I have even used your Restorative yoga video as a foundation for my other yoga practices. I use that video in the evening after I get home from work, then I go into a foam roller sequence or work out. As much as I like the restorative yoga, watching it over and over again can be a little repetitive. I am looking for a video that is similar to the restorative yoga video, but I can use in the morning, I really like the guided meditation after and before the sequence. For the time being I will continue to use the restorative yoga video. Keep up the good work, you are an exceptional yoga teacher thank you for sharing these videos :)

    Hi! I really, really like your videos, especially your flow videos, but I can barely hear you!!! I keep having to look at the video to see what you're doing next, when I should just be listening and flowing through it. Is there any way you can record your voice overs louder??? Just a suggestion - I have favourite'd several of your videos and keep going back to do them again and again, but it would be much easier if the volume was louder. Thanks for what you do!! :)

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  9 лет назад +1

      Kimberley H Sorry to hear you're unable to hear the voiceover - I know I've had some technical issues in the past with a couple videos but this one in particular works loudly on my computer so I'm wondering if you've checked to be sure that both your speaker is up and the youtube video itself is up. That should help. I have plans within the next month or so to make better quality videos that will include doing the voice on a microphone when I record so stay tuned for those as I promise they'll be much better than what I've got here. :)

    • @lesliefox6754
      @lesliefox6754 6 лет назад

      I can barely hear you as well ( I keep having to look at the video). You also could slow it down a bit (I'm a strong intermediate but I feel like it's too fast)

  • @RishiToronto

    Hi Candace. I might say this often but this is by far my favourite video you've made! Thank you yet again for putting these together! How do you come up with such unique Sequences?!
    Someone mentioned that your voice is too soft, and I must say I like that because it makes for a much calming practice. However Is it possible for you to have the audio a bit sooner than the video. I mean sometimes when I'm in downward dog, I can't see the video so I don't know when to move into 3 legged dog for example. Thanks!
    2 more questions however.
    1) Do you practice often without a mat? Is there any real benefit? I often enjoy doing yoga on a mat on carpet only because the carpet is better on my knees.
    2) I couldn't do sun dial pose at all. Is it possible to show how to do this with a strap? Or maybe some prep poses?

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  9 лет назад

      RishiToronto Hey you! Thanks so much for the kind words. Haha, I don't know how I come up with the sequences - just playing around until I find something that feels good. :)
      Yeah, great suggestion about the audio. I think that'll be fixed in upcoming videos as I make some changes. I think I'll be recording the audio as I do the practice, so I think the cues will be a bit before. :)
      To answer your questions:
      1. I do practice often without a mat. There's no real added benefit, it's just nice to feel free from a defined space :)
      2. Absolutely - look for it within the next few weeks. But if you're like to practice before then, you'll want to look to open up the side body, chest and shoulders. So poses like triangle, cat/cow, up dog, bow pose, etc will be helpful. To get into it with a strap you'll want to wrap the strap around the middle of the foot, grab hold with the opposite hand and then bring the arm up and over the body. Kind of hard to explain here but I will do a blog post on it soon!!

    Lovely Candace! Love your videos, particularly vinyasa flows. I'm still struggling with those binds - what should I practise more to reach the hands to bind? Is it that my back is tight or arms, or both? :D Thank you for advice :)
