Hello, I have a question for you! Have you ever seen students with Ehlers Danlos or M.E./CFIDS? I have both, 😒, but I need a gentle start to exercise & I have a feeling yoga will be a savior for me, if I can take it slow. Hoping over time that I can build strength everywhere, I cannot push because it causes myalgia and all sorts of painful 'crashes' that I don't come out of the same as I was before. So I need to learn to 'pace'..I hope you made it to the end of my long question!! Best wishes to you & enjoy your life! ♡ The 🐌
@@christabcook Hi! With EDS you can do yoga, but I would not suggest just going to a yoga class.. you need one on one instruction to insure you’re doing the poses probably or you can injure yourself. Start with slow and gentle movements like Pilates or TaiChi. LThere are some great beginner RUclips vids on both. Water aerobics and swimming are also great for EDS. Slow, steady and a consistent practice (30 min, at least 4’s a week) and yes you will build strength. As you move, put your awareness on the muscle you’ve moving. Mind muscle connection is part of the process of healing and rebuilding muscle . Peace and blessings!🌹🧘🏽♀️

I’ve started this today. I’m 59, using just 2kg each hand to start. I’ve measured my arms and legs and very out of shape. I’m confident I can make this a morning habit.Melissa your careful instructions are great! I’ll update next Tuesday! 🇬🇧😉👍❤️

Thank you for catering for over 40. I've been struggling to lose belly fat and all around my mid section. Something i never struggled with in my younger age. Still grappling with how my body has changed.
Is anyone else dripping with sweat after this vid. Today I got my first vid with Melissa workout done and feeling sweaty after the first 5 minutes. I took more breaks to finish and have to work on the plank. I did about 30secs, a minute doing a plank is longer than I thought. Though I have incorporate weights on my own since February(one body part at a time), this is the first time I really felt challenged. The combined body parts moves did it. And would enjoy more workouts like this. Thanks again!

I just found you this week. I've been studying your vids and got your App. I'm a few wks away from 57 yrs. I've spent ALL my life trying to lose the same 15+ lbs. I've made all the same mistakes. Ive been lifting wts for yrs now. I have back pain. So have been having problems with the lower body exercises. Im going to try this routine. Setting a goal to do it 3x WK for the next month. I'm excited to finally find an over 50 mentor I can relate to! My bigger issue tho is my eating. I now need to seriously get into meal prep.

Beginner me is wayyyy lower level! I used to be an intermediate level ballet student (off & on from age 17~42) and I know my body...it's so weak right now! Awesome workout. I love compound movement w/o. Burns more fat... I will be doing this w/o for at least 3wks then will switch it up to lifting heavier weights and fewer reps. Want to tone and gain muscle. Thanks Melissa.💪💪💪
