Good morning garden friends! Thanks for joining me for the first Garden tour in November. I filmed this video yesterday while taking care of my granddaughter so she will be running in and out of this video as well. 😀❤️👍 Liz
Oh my goodness,Zayla is so cute! I am really looking forward to getting some rain. You are lucky to already be getting some. I like where you put your vegetable garden beds. It’s great that you have a place with full sun for them. I’m with you on using pots for plants. I have several.you still have a lot of beauty in your garden ❤
Good morning Ginger and thank you so much for your wonderful comment. I was watching my granddaughter this weekend so that is why she ended up being in the video. Yes, I am very happy with where I put the vegetable boxes. Some sunflowers or corn Will look really pretty in the summertime. Thanks for stopping by Ginger. I hope you have a beautiful rest of your day. ❤️👍🥰Liz
I needed a nice pick me up today as I am going through another depressive situation. So HERE I AM! Your channel is so uplifting and beautiful yards bring me joy! So thank you and your lovely granddaughter for this video! May our God continue to bless us.
Oh my goodness June, I am so sorry you are going through a rough time, but I am happy my video brought you some comfort and joy! Sending you lots of love and (((hugs!)))❤️🤗🙏Liz
Good morning Maria and happy November to you as well. It’s hard to believe we are in November already. Where does the time go? Hahaha I appreciate you taking the time to visit me and hope you have an amazing day.❤️👍🥰 Liz
@ Good morning Liz! Ikr? 2024 has been the fastest year Ever! IMO Thank You for taking time to share your lovely, happy videos! A much needed treat in this Crazy World! Many decades ago I lived in Central Coast (Los Osos) for 8 years…my favorite place in CA! Take care! 💕Maria
Thank you for the encouragement Marie, Your comment is appreciated! I’ve never heard of that area in California. I’m glad you had a good experience while you were there. 🥰
Hi Karen, thank you for taking the time to comment. A couple other people I know are bigger fans of the wave petunias as well. I guess it depends on what area we live in. Perhaps that whole “proven winners” thing is a big fad amongst the elite gardeners. Haha who knows. And thank you for chiming in about the chair. I appreciate the input. ❤️👍🥰Liz
She is so cute! Its wonderful she gets time to spend with you, the garden and the animals!! I was introduced to gardening when my grandfather took me to spend summers at my Aunts working farm. It was run by my Uncle and Aunt. Today I live on one acre, a dream come true in my old age!. It is small but I have two adopted wild horses a goat and chickens. Also rescued 5 house cats! I always welcome children and parents to my yard. We also finally had some rain! It was so welcomed!!
Good morning June. I’m so happy you got some rain. Yay!!! How refreshing!!! After our dreadful hot summer I think we all needed that little cleansing change. I appreciate your kind words you are so so sweet, I love hearing about your experiences on the farm at your aunts house with the garden and animals. That’s what life is all about and you are so blessed to have been able to experience such wonderful events in your life, thank you for sharing with me! ❤️🥰👍Liz
June I love your comments from childhood memories. The brain is like a time machine taking us back to fond events and experiences of our younger years and being able to share them much later in life. There's truly something to behold about that simpler time in life. Have a blessed day. Bless all those loved animals that you have rescued.
Oh Kelly, isn’t that the truth. You said it perfectly our brain like a time machine. I feel certain things that we thought about or happened to us as a child are meant for us to reflect on as adults. Especially after we come to know Christ. those time machine Gems that were being preserved for us are so dear! ❤️🥰🙏 Well said!
Awww, thank you so much Jerilynn! Zayla is my little helper in the garden. 🥰 I appreciate your kind words and input regarding the Jasmine on my front fence. Thanks for stopping by. ❤️👍Liz
Awww Zayla is a wonderful surprise guest and she adds lots of additional joy to your beautiful garden! I agree with Zayla about the raised beds moving to the front fence area, nice spot ❤🎉see you next time 😊
Good morning Andrea and thank you for your lovely comment. Yes I am very happy with where I put the raised boxes. I think sunflowers and corn will look so pretty growing out of those in the summertime but for now I will definitely enjoy this rain. Thank you for taking the time to comment. ❤️🥰👍 Liz
Well that was a nice wake up with my cuppa. With the light drizzle of rain it always smells so clean and washes all the dusty old away. I see we have a little pretty in garden this morning. Never too young to become a gardener in training. The society garlic out front is amazing Liz ! Morning Glory is a fantastic wine We had this white picket fence around our sunken garden on the farm and every year it was covered with Morning Glories. As a kid I was intrigued as to why they opened and closed everyday. But nothing beats that cool nostalgic step stool chair what a blast from the past. I don't think there was a kitchen in the 60's or 70's that didn't have that handy little piece of furniture. Thank you what a nice way to wake up. I see the day breaking here and we just may have a little rain in the high Mohave. I hope I welcome it joyfully. Have a blessed day Miss Liz.
Good morning Kelly and thank you for your lovely comment. You were so observant mentioning the Society garlic outfront. I bet those morning glories on the white picket fence on your farm were beautiful. What a wonderful memory to have. It just goes to show you that the morning glory teaches us such a great lesson in life that the flowers only last For that one day and then the next day they are gone. A very good lesson in life to be learned from morning glories. I find that old stepping stool at a garage sale. I’m sure it was used (and abused) for many years in someone’s kitchen and/or home, now it’s in my garden. I love that you noticed those things. I always love reading your comments. They are like opening up a present with a surprise inside. 🥰🥰🥰 (((Hugs))) Liz
@@GardenHappy That was very complementary I've never heard my comments referred to as a present. That truly makes me feel very appreciated. Thank you Miss Liz your videos make it very easy for me to find the kind words of encouragement and compliment. I've always been tuned in to details and small details are the most important in bringing the big picture together. I think I get the memory reminiscing from my father who is a great story teller even at 87 he can still spin a tale of past events.
I think our parents were such good storytellers because they didn’t grow up with cell phones, computers, and such. They depended on each other’s company which would include stories. I love that. Of course I’m not assuming your age or anything. I still remember the day when I would buy stationary and mail letters.Hahaha I think things were more personal 40 years ago. Anyway, I am rambling on and totally off track. LOL Have a lovely day Kelly. 🥰
Awww Thank you Diane… so sweet of you. After I was done filming, I showed Zayla some of the clips and she was intrigued about the microphone and how it made my voice louder. So I put it on her and I filmed her talking and watering. Now she wants to make RUclips videos!!! Hahaha I hope you’re having a beautiful day Diane. ❤️👍🥰 Liz
What a sweet video with your granddaughter. Your garden always looks beautiful and even the things that you’re not quite happy about, I think looks fine. Like the passion flower. You never know it may come back. I love that you love the Morning Glory and if it works for you keep doing it. I think they are the fastest climbers around. The green raised beds look right at home. Definitely. Thanks for sharing.
Hi RBTheGardennanny I agree, those green raised beds look great in the spot, and I’m glad you think so too! ❤️ thank you for your kind words and encouragement. You are always so positive and uplifting. ❤️😇🙏Liz
Thank you so much Racheal. I’m excited to grow things in the veggie boxes out front. I appreciate the encouragement about my front yard garden. Maybe I will start showing it more.❤️👍🥰Liz
Wave Petunias also perform better for me than the Supertunias for some reason plus they will reseed themselves giving you free petunias that next year! I love where you put those raised beds, it is perfect for what you want to do. When you have neighborhood cats the chicken wire is a must. Great tour.
Good morning Pam thank you for taking the time to comment. I was totally thinking about you yesterday while watching your garden tour. It’s crazy how you have so many Mexican sunflowers right now, or were those zinnias. I think they were the Tithonia. I have some in my garden too, especially this time of year. I noticed that your hydrangeas do very well up in the mountains. I have totally given up on them. LOL Maybe they like the cooler weather. We are just about an hour or so away yet altitude makes such a difference with gardening results. Anyway, thanks for the vote of confidence about my raised beds in their new location. I’m very happy with where they are now. That leaves me more room in the backyard too plant a Japanese maple tree. Always a pleasure to hear from you. My garden is starting to fall apart, I would still be open to a visit. I hope you didn’t think I flaked out on you. Life got very hectic there for a while. Unless you wanna wait until spring? ❤️👍🥰(((HUGS))) Liz
Hi, Liz! What a little cutie you have there! 🥰 Don’t feel bad about the hydrangeas. I gave up on them years ago. It’s just too hot down here. They need way too much attention for me. 💚
Hey there Tanya how are you??? so sweet of you to stop by. Glad to know I’m not the only one who gave up on hydrangeas. I’m done fighting over them for sure. LOL Hope you’re doing well, my friend. Have a great day.❤️🥰👍Liz
A lovely video with you and your granddaughter! Your Bougainvillea is a favorite of mine! It grows so well for you. I also really enjoy seeing your front yard. It's beautiful and so charming! The raised beds are perfect there. ☺
Thank you so much PixieOfJoy for watching my video. I appreciate your kind words! I love the bougainvillea too. It does grow so easy for me. Have a beautiful day my sweet friend. 🥰❤️ Liz
I know you love the color yellow. Maybe in the spot where you had the passion flower vine you can replace it with a Loofa? Loofah has pretty yellow flowers and you can use the loofah for so many purposes. Have a blessed day my friend!
Good morning progressnotperfectiob….Oh wow I NEVER thought of that!!! A loofah!! How FUN!!! I am totally going to look into that. Thank you for taking the time to share your comment. ❤️👍😁 Liz

Greetibgs Panagiotaskoylida… I appreciate your kind words. I am going to pray that God sends you the good kind of rain you need. You pray from Greece and I will pray from California and we will watch God work his glory!!! 🙏🙏🙏😇😇😇 Liz
I wasn't a fan when you first said you were thinking about moving the metal planters to the front yard because I thought you would put them in the grass at the front. Instead you placed them by your fence and that is the best place to put them. I still think a metal color like copper would look great on your chair. I hope you plant some pansies in pots soon. I am getting some rain in my area right now. I need it for sure.
Good morning SilverDawnInTX you are right. I was originally thinking about putting the planters on my lawn. I agree that would not have been a good choice, so you were absolutely right. And funny you should mention putting copper paint on that chair. I have been thinking about that alot lately!!! I actually went to the hardware store to look for copper paint but they didn’t have any. But for some reason that idea keeps sticking in my head . Maybe they were out I’m not sure I am going to ask and try Hone Depot. I am definitely going to consider that for sure! It doesn’t hurt to try right? I mean it’s only paint, I’m actually thinking of a faux rust/ copper finish. I appreciate you taking the time to comment and hope you have an amazing day. ❤️🥰👍Liz
Hi liz! I just love your backyard garden.still blooming and fun.with all the colors .its beautiful. But im wondering whats the name of the plant growing next to one of your raised bed aling the wall.it looks liek a black walnut seedlings.or not.i just spotted it.ifits black walnut you might want to removed it.
Good morning Faye and thank you for the compliment. Yes I am fully aware of that sapling growing on the side of my vegetable box. LOL It is indeed a tree. I don’t think it’s a black walnut but it’s a tree that grows like weeds. They grow super fast too and are all over my yard. but they are so easy to pull out of the ground. I’ve pulled that sapling out of the ground many times, but there are so many seeds back there they keep continuing to grow. Thank you for the heads up! ❤️👍🥰Liz
Good morning garden friends! Thanks for joining me for the first Garden tour in November. I filmed this video yesterday while taking care of my granddaughter so she will be running in and out of this video as well. 😀❤️👍 Liz

Love seeing Zayla visiting your garden.Bye bye❤
Thank you Myrah! She loves spending time in the garden with me. 🥰 Liz
I agree with your granddaughter I'd definitely paint the chair both colors. And I also agree with you about the petunias I'm a bigger fan of the wave.
