My favorite league ever was figuring out int stacking from scratch as a starter. Looking at doing it again now that spell scaling has evened out between str and Northside variants. Don't forget about snagging an early large spell cluster jewel
Maruder start is rough if you dont go through the starting melee physical attack nodes straight into the accuracy notable. You can't get precision until after Brutus, so you need those accuracy nodes and probably a jade amulet.
I league started BLS volcanic fissure of snaking w/ shockwave support last league. Felt great all the way through to t17s. Really fun skill if you haven't tried it.
Please make a PoB for this, both the start and the progression. This looks fun and really doable. Would love to play this. Especially the Brutus, to iron fortress to replica alberons wand version. Edit: Small addition to my comment.

about boneshatter, now mobs that physical overwhelm insted "crush" you, meaning that all your trauma stacks will have phys pen and instant kills you. Could be a real issue with boneshatter

You don't really have Accuracy Problems untill early Maps. And Strength should fix Accuracy, mabe 1 Item with some Accuracy. Depending on your Attackspeed, as long as you stay around 90-95% you should be fine.
Solid approach! Already decided on going strength stacking quite early on after patch notes, this is a nice path to follow. Hopefully the price for Iron Fortress early on isn't too crazy. I do wonder how bad the mana costs will be though. -Mana cost rings might be extra important.
maybe widowhail + the poised prism is an option too then you get damage from all attributes ( but i think widow hail is way rarer and can only benefit from any great scaling after lvl 66 ( quiver))

its like starting int stacking whispering ice... feels good while leveling drops of fast in lategame uless you reach 2k int then its good again (whispering ice still bad, to many limitations and base dmg / int not enough)
My plan was getting rank 1 Sunder dps again after a few leagues of break from melee, but the "removal" of Battlemage's Cry makes me feel like STR stacking will actually not work. Maybe I missed something and it's still possible, but as you said - it was the main source of damage.
@@hickfarm Well I wonder if I'll be able to cap crit without the warlord helmet mod tho. There's like 5 people playing that build so I might have to test it myself if I decide to do it. Wasn't BMC 25% per 5 power up to 150% as well?
i did SSF str stacking before necropolis, i had found a brutus lead sprinkler before hand though. It actually wasnt bad, up till red maps with about 800-900 str. im sure on trade youll be fine, especially if its stronger this league as you say.
How do you address the attack speed nerfs? In-between rage not giving attack speed (except for berserker) and the loss of ancestral protector, it will be a lot harder to get your attacks per second up.
I'm thinking tanu ahi as gloves alongside the jugg attack speed node would help. Maybe even switch to haste aura over determination. Would have to experiment.
I dont use build guides anymore i just imagine what i want to do and pick the character and figure jt out along the way. So much fun playing this way IMO.

Fissure of snaking is pretty beastly.... played it last league but stopped early on but the gem is dope

You can also use a normal Frostbreath with the mace mastery that allows all damage with maces/scepters to chill after you swap to Replica Alberons.

As someone who only plays melee every league, you should prioritise accuracy from start, either going for resolute tech or precision node asap.

I league started berseker str stacker on necropolis bought alberons day 1 or 2 its totally possible if you have time to farm early.

stacking build on league start its super bad again the day after the start of the league MBX will change the build
Maybe try slams, bone zone lost a lot of attack speed, or use the alt gem
I did this exact same build and melted everything with Reave. But they changed Battlemage's Cry, big Nerf. It like increased damage by like 10X.

@@TheMentik78 they are being forced to use crown of eyes helm in all the builds now. Which is 150% instead of 100% from battlemages cry.

@@TheMentik78 Believe it capped at 100%. Either way Crown of Eyes is the only way to double dip the strength for melee hits.

sunder is the best melee skill in acts dont bother with boneshatter it needs attack speed and armour.
