That actually happens sometimes. Certain actors can actually be left with a part of their character long after they’ve played the. Maybe Depp could just never shake the voice he mastered for the film.
Bill Murray told Depp to make sure the role he did after Fear and Loathing was completely different, otherwise he’d still have Hunter inside of him. Murray apparently still had a part of Hunter in him a few roles after he made Where the Buffalo Roam.
