    This story would never have been told had our founders not placed freedom of speech first in the list of rights they felt gave mankind true freedom,no attempt to silent our voices in the name of righteous enlightened motive tward a more just popular trend can uphold and honor freedom or its founders sacrifices,freedom of speech belongs to all Americans even if that voice upsets us,the freedom of choice can deal with even the most outrageous message!!!!! History has taught us the outcome of sensorship over and over,hunters story lives because the constitution meant something in his time and im sure he would agree!!!!

      The founders of this storied country didn't bestow any rights upon us. They're God given. They're yours and mine from birth. Just making an important distinction in case anyone read what you wrote the same way I did

      @GarlTsagan
      Well that would be nice, but you're WRONG. Just because the "founders of this storied country" SAID that doesn't make it true, otherwise ALL people (you know that the WORLD isn't just the US, right?) would have these rights, no? Unless you truly believe that GOD gave US citizens these rights, just because the founders SAID to, but most people aren't actually that naive, even if they have to claim they are, because their FAITH says they have to.

    • @GarlTsagan
      @GarlTsagan 5 месяцев назад

      @@madcapglass1454 No way. Like I said it doesnt matter what the founders said or from what I understand you're saying, gave us. They're irrelevant. All people are born with these rights, Americans and everyone else. Never forget this. People infringe upon these rights. That's the evil in the world
      edit: I get it, this is something you can't be told. You'll need to figure it out yourself. Don't let me stop you

      No I think Hunter saw many people have their free speech oppressed do you know about Mario Savio for instance or many artists of the era censored and silenced college kids shot by the National guard for protesting etc. there was lots of civil liberties disregard in the 60s still is. Look at the red scare too half of Hollywood accused of communist sympathies Sean Penns own father Leo for example. Hunter was lucky in some way I suppose got away with more than most became a cultural icon but most can't do what he did delusional to think so.

    When you pass away you still have to deal with the problems you left behind in this life. We live multiple lifetimes until we live a life of harmony and balance. When you die it is revealed what life here is and your soul has a powerful urge to come back and try again. We have all lived past lifetimes and most of us will come back again and again until we transcend all of our earthly desires and balance our indiscretions from past lives. When that happens we no longer have the will to reincarnate and we move up in the world of spiritual hierarchies.

    Not much in the way of substance conveyed by Hunter S. Thompson. Lots of drug culture social cache and shallow tabloid-political commentary glazed with "legend" hype. His fans lived vicariously via his self-reported "exploits", but what is one left with at the end of the day after increasingly tiresome and desperate stints of nihilistic hedonism and self-abuse marketed as "literary" entertainment? Generation of Swine, for example, is pretty slight stuff. Oy.

      As a anarchist, he would have naturally opposed Trump. I think he would have appreciated the opposition of the status quo that Trump brings. If my intuition is right, he would have chosen Trump over Beady eyes and crooked clinton if forced to vote.
      He spoke of American youth generations a lot. It's hard to pinpoint an set moral beliefs he had but he clearly had an arrow for truth.

      @George Adept yet biden might take the office. I almost want to give props to biden for being ballsy enough to think that there wont be any repercussions of deceiving the majority of the American public but... Then again, biden is a puppet, a figure. Probably not what I would call a real human being. Replaceable and easy to replicate. No distinctiveness which makes for a perfect pasty. I hate politics.
