I dont know what everyone in this comment section is so up and arms about. I see this as a wise investment, I hope more agencies adopt and use this device.
How does that work when someone’s running?
It might not. But for people having a mental health episode who aren't compliant or making sense this could be used with minimal visual footprint and stop bad things from happening before they start. I mean tasers also have eff all chance of hitting and incapacitating a moving target especially if they're wearing taser armor aka clothes lol.
With Sim Gill in office they know they will never actually have to be held accountable so why would they put kid gloves on?
Horrible device. Imagine a fish hook to your eye.
But did you die? Lol
Time to comply
People could get a taser needle in their eye too. I mean that is something to consider and watch out for but it's not a reason not to use a nonlethal tool when there's no better options. The fact that this might work with heavy clothing makes it potentially very helpful in specific cases.
Not responding to commands IS non compliance. Mental people attack cops a lot more than regular people. That’s why.
What in the Looney Toons is this?
The audio in the news segment is horrid. It’s like a 13yo wanna be gangster rap producer mixed this with a browser version of Audacity on a pay as you go flip phone. TERRIBLE
Looks like a gimmick
Ummm, might as well use a net 😂
How would you deploy it faster than this?
@@DerakosZrux You can shoot a net just as fast. Been out for years. Just a little bulky, think a big flashlight.
Batman
What happens if they hit the wrong person or spot? Is there a method to prevent accidentally choking?
Also it's just wrapping around whatever it hits. Don't see how it could get tight enough to cause a blood or airway choke. It's main mechanism is being Kevlar so even if it's kind of loose it still restricts movement enough for law enforcement to catch up and get hands on.
@@DerakosZrux by itself but things happen when people move around
You might think you are being sneaky on the broll audio track but since you never bothered to fix the you tube stereo stream it plays unmixed loud and clear on the left headphone.
So they'll wrap you, then tackle and taze you, nope, bad idea..
Cops need training to notice mental health. There’s a NAMI Center in Salt Lake maybe they can help.
Every time training comes up, police chiefs generally complain that any additional training takes cops off the streets
They should be ashamed.
Right off the bat, it's effectiveness with a stationary, and non struggling target is a laughable demonstration. I don't know if this is just a red flag attempt to eventually prove the ineffectiveness of non-lethal alternatives. So many questions.
