This is so great!! I want to start doing these. I have three simple custom shirts on right now just to get a feel for doing this. My chi mix is Cookie and my two cats are Thor and Loki. Shawna I love your videos. I just opened my shop 2 weeks ago and instantly got suspended. I filed an appeal but it’s ridiculous how long it takes for them to answer back. I’m dying everyday! I would love you to do a video on how to set up shipping on printify and in my shop for when the customer pays for their shipping. Thank you!

Great stuff Shawna. I've only just opened by Etsy store and was trying to figure out how to list multiple designs, colors, and sizes for a Halloween Tee idea I have for couples. Shawna, you are the teacher of the year! I have been doing group listing for a few months now but never knew (or realized) that designs could be a variation. I can see why these listings would make higher revenue and I can't wait to start doing this. I noticed you only offer 3 colors. Is this typically what you do? I offer 8 to 10, maybe that's a mistake? Thank you for everything you show us! You continue to be my absolute go-to for all things Etsy! My Golden Doodle is Bleu (6 yr old female) and we just lost our other Golden Doodle, Lily, 9 days ago but she will always live in our hearts 😢

If I have just one design I often include 6 to 9 color options... but for a group listing with different designs available I usually do less just to keep it more manageable for me when/if it starts to sell! I was very daunted by this and finally worked up the courage to give it a try and my group listing had 490 variations and a message pops up that Etsy only allows 400 variations, though your video showed examples of over a 1000+ variations. Is this maybe a recent change from Etsy?

Hey there Samantha! Yes! No need to recreate them! Just use the skus you already have and both listings with those skus will be attached to that product and design! Hope this helps!

How do we handle a group custom listing if the customer orders 6 Most Likely To Camping shirts as an example, but on 1 or 2 of them, they want to choose their own saying. Hey there BeKind! Love your Kitty's name! I need to make a video on this, but I will try to give you the quick answer! So I go into my listing on Etsy and in the drop down menu with the available phrases I add the word CUSTOM as an optoin. Be sure to toggle on personalization for that listing and make it optional for the buyer so they can let you know the custom phrase if that is what they chose. I have my shop set to manual so I can go through my orders before pushing them through for the day. That way I can add it to the order. You do that by creating a product in your shop with the custom design. I hope that makes sense!

I want to make sure my thought process is right- I can publish the design and then use that as a singular listing and then take those skus and put them into the group listing? So if you published lets say a first grade listing and pushed it our from Printify with all its Skus and maybe did one for each grade level and then made a group listing with all the grades in that one listing... Yes! When it starts selling you could just take the skus from those single listings you already did and attach them in the group listing. Did that make sense?

Shawna, I am working on group lisitngs and offering multiple styles like t-shirts and hoodies in all my listings. Do you personally delete the draft of the item once it is listed or just leave it? Is there a way to organize the drafts in Printify and Etsy better? Thanks
If you are making a group and an individual listing with different color options would you publish it as it’s own listing and then use the same sku number that matches the color in the group listing?
Hi shawna, it seems etsy has a variation limit of 400, so your teacher example could not actually be synched up with the printify skus. Would you treat these orders as a custom order? Can you explain how to do that in printify? Or if I'm not understanding something, please correct me. I did try this myself, and could not create that many variations with skus. Hi Shawa - I'm just trying to figure out why 3 designs together - would sell better than each of them individually - when the customer is still purchasing an individual shirt. I offer multiple colors on all my shirts - I guess this is like offering multiple designs instead?? Anyway my little dog's name is Jasper.
Love that name! Jasper! So I think they start selling better sometimes because people click in and can kind of shop your listing rather than going back out to search results to find just the right thing. You have few more chances to get just the right thing in front of them! Offering more colors can also help with your conversion rate! Always love seeing you in the comments Cindy!
@@shawnalynn2083 Thanks Shawna. I always watch your videos! One of the shirts I grouped that was fairly new just sold, but it looks like they clicked on the individual listing. I grouped it with a shirt that is selling really well. I put 4 dog mom shirts together that are text only. It's always good to experiment. My customers don't seem to be overwhelmed by too many choices - I offer 9 colors on each design. Others have said that's too many - but often 1 customer will buy the same shirt in many colors. It seems to work for me.

Hey there! I feel like my orders with Printful have been a little slow. My orders with Printify are going out quicker so maybe I just haven't noticed it. My customers feel like they get their items quickly because they usually get them before the estimated window I have set in my shop. It always surprises me that even though I feel like things are slow I keep getting good reviews about arriving in time or early! LOL Hopefully the print providers are moving and grooving this Q4!

Shawna, you are the teacher of the year! I have been doing group listing for a few months now but never knew (or realized) that designs could be a variation. I can see why these listings would make higher revenue and I can't wait to start doing this. I noticed you only offer 3 colors. Is this typically what you do? I offer 8 to 10, maybe that's a mistake? Thank you for everything you show us! You continue to be my absolute go-to for all things Etsy! My Golden Doodle is Bleu (6 yr old female) and we just lost our other Golden Doodle, Lily, 9 days ago but she will always live in our hearts 😢

I am glad you found the video helpful! If I have just one design I often include 6 to 9 color options... but for a group listing with different designs available I usually do less just to keep it more manageable for me when/if it starts to sell! Hope this helps!

This video was SO helpful! Thank you so very much for walking us through this! I was very daunted by this and finally worked up the courage to give it a try and my group listing had 490 variations and a message pops up that Etsy only allows 400 variations, though your video showed examples of over a 1000+ variations. Is this maybe a recent change from Etsy?

How do we handle a group custom listing if the customer orders 6 Most Likely To Camping shirts as an example, but on 1 or 2 of them, they want to choose their own saying. Hey there BeKind! Love your Kitty's name! I need to make a video on this, but I will try to give you the quick answer! So I go into my listing on Etsy and in the drop down menu with the available phrases I add the word CUSTOM as an optoin. Be sure to toggle on personalization for that listing and make it optional for the buyer so they can let you know the custom phrase if that is what they chose. I have my shop set to manual so I can go through my orders before pushing them through for the day. That way I can add it to the order. You do that by creating a product in your shop with the custom design. I hope that makes sense!

All of these you left in draft status… my question is at the beginning of the video you showed your group listing performance next to the single listing. I want to make sure my thought process is right- I can publish the design and then use that as a singular listing and then take those skus and put them into the group listing? I don’t need to have a published and unpublished option in printify?

So if you published lets say a first grade listing and pushed it our from Printify with all its Skus and maybe did one for each grade level and then made a group listing with all the grades in that one listing... Yes! When it starts selling you could just take the skus from those single listings you already did and attach them in the group listing. Did that make sense?

Hey there! I actually have free shipping set up in my shop... Thinking about switching it! To make this decision I would find several top performing shops and see what they are doing and base my decision off that data! Shawna, I am working on group lisitngs and offering multiple styles like t-shirts and hoodies in all my listings. Do you personally delete the draft of the item once it is listed or just leave it? Is there a way to organize the drafts in Printify and Etsy better? Thanks

Hi shawna, it seems etsy has a variation limit of 400, so your teacher example could not actually be synched up with the printify skus. Would you treat these orders as a custom order? Can you explain how to do that in printify? Or if I'm not understanding something, please correct me. I did try this myself, and could not create that many variations with skus. I offer multiple colors on all my shirts - I guess this is like offering multiple designs instead?? Anyway my little dog's name is Jasper.
Love that name! Jasper! So I think they start selling better sometimes because people click in and can kind of shop your listing rather than going back out to search results to find just the right thing. You have few more chances to get just the right thing in front of them! Offering more colors can also help with your conversion rate! Always love seeing you in the comments Cindy!
@@shawnalynn2083 Thanks Shawna. I always watch your videos! One of the shirts I grouped that was fairly new just sold, but it looks like they clicked on the individual listing. I grouped it with a shirt that is selling really well. I put 4 dog mom shirts together that are text only. It's always good to experiment. My customers don't seem to be overwhelmed by too many choices - I offer 9 colors on each design. Others have said that's too many - but often 1 customer will buy the same shirt in many colors. It seems to work for me.

Hey there! I feel like my orders with Printful have been a little slow. My orders with Printify are going out quicker so maybe I just haven't noticed it. My customers feel like they get their items quickly because they usually get them before the estimated window I have set in my shop. It always surprises me that even though I feel like things are slow I keep getting good reviews about arriving in time or early! LOL Hopefully the print providers are moving and grooving this Q4!
