@Rob Godden Mental? Or just blind that you can’t read there was a TEAM breach (Basically cheating which you can’t acknowledge since all you’re on about is how “bad” triple 8 is & how Penske “Is just too good”. Let’s not forget, some key facts. 2017 - Newcastle (McLaughlin runs Lowndes into the fence and blocks him moving through like usual) Issue for the team and they cried over the championship that year. 2019 - Bathurst (Coulthard cheats, gets penalised and there’s a debate over it) Another bad thing Penske did and CRIED ABOUT. Let’s also not forget, the title of this video! Where him & the TEAM, changed the engine for The top 10 shootout and for pole. I can’t wait for you to come back and say “Oh but 888 cheats too” when they’ve been struggling because of the fact Penske have been quite over the top with their poor choices in RACING.
What a total load of crap, "random engine checks" I bet no 888 engines are "randomly" checked. All was good until the Fords won a few races in a row then Holden screaming parity / cheating.
When Kelly's team mate blocked Ambrose from passing Kelly at Tasmania so Ambrose in the Ford could not win the championship and Rick Kelly in the Holden could
Oh my god what pathetic double standings by Supercars organisation. There policy is that what ever happens, holden must WIN. How many years did holden dominate the races and no though by V8 supercars to even the pace. Then speak to Marcus AMBROSE on how he was robbed over the supercar title in Tasmania where KELLYS team mate blocked AMBROSE from passing so KELLY could catch up. All the Holden boys come out and state it was good team work and was supported by V8 supercar. There is nothing in Australia that can compare with the corrupt behaviour of the V8 supercar fraternity How dare another car brand other than Holden win races. They will keep changing the rules till holden again win championships. This goes back to the Series P{rodustion races in the late 60 and early seventies. FORD had to race with unmodified showroom cars but the Holden XU1 was allowed to change from stromberg carbies to WEBERS.
mmmm "mistake" that increases valve lift bit like all the underpaying businesses. Ever notice there is never a mistake that results in people getting paid too much. Amazing really.
Typical cheating Yank. Dick's legacy is slowly being eroded with the bullshit coming from his partnership with Penske! Most Holden supporters had a soft spot for him, I repeat, had! No longer after all this bullshit!
Why does the heading say "another Scott McLaughlin Bathurst Breach"? He didn't do anything, the team did. He probably didn't even know. Rules are rules but if they wanted an advantage, wouldn't the valve lift be on all 8 cylinders?
Cam and lifters are one, I doubt it is possible to increase lift in only 3 lifters , it would of been a mistake by the v8 supercars people testing the engines or just total lies

This is why people are walking away in droves from watching V8 Supercars you cannot buy a V8 Holden Commodore on the road you can buy a V8 Mustang the parity is just bulshit I am so over V8 Supercars
That's the end of 888 supercars, Oops, I meant V8 Supercars for me. In the bin along with Formula 1. Plenty of other real categories to follow now with real racing to see, Not a race controlled by Nerds in the garage and people with university degrees making rules for their computers to determine who is the best.
Team sport, team decision, team play, team outcome, team punishment= No trophy. "Team" DJR Penske made the choice to play this way, not the other teams or the fans. To punish the entire team and to now punish the winning car for an illegal engine whilst still being able to hold on to the Peter Brock trophy spells "Politics" not "motorsport"
But only on three valves, to me would indicate a bad grind job on the cam. Could be human error. If it was CNC'd it could have been a bad tool bit. And sometimes for some reason computers decide to do things in not a logical order. So these could have been the last three lobes ground, no matter where they were on the cam, and something moved before they were cut. It could have been the bottom of the lobe had too much taken off, and not necessarily the top of the lobe ground to high. That would still measure too much lift, but from the center of the cam to the top of the lobe could be in spec. When you are dealing in thousandths, it doesn't take much to throw something out that much.
Nice timing with the penalty, loooooong after the event is run & done. What would have happened to the start position of car 17 on race day if the scrutineers had performed the check overnight? Such bullshit to place a historical penalty from an old race to the current race. Supercars are lame. Get over yourselves & get back to relevancy.
the Danes Skaiffe Whinicup supercar stewards co. They are making a mockery of our premier auto racing competition what a joke. International backers are welcome as long as they don't beat team Triple8 who seem to benifit the most eg parity they seem to be the only cars competing against the fords and then really its only SM that was blitzing it. To be fair it must be said that he does have the only actual Mustang but still t8 your a disgrace. Brett and yes i love the blue oval
Seriously? 3 out of 8 cylinders, pfffttttt!! Did we go over lift by a thou or two did we? Back the rockers off a couple of though and problem fixed, no?
looking back at this... ya can clearly see Penske was trying to cheat the game.. the lack of appeal is one major giveaway... the 2nd being Penske leaving after realising he wont get away with the same stuff he does in nascar/indycar...the 3rd being how crap DJR is now Penske cash is gone
Talk to me about the cheating of winge cup baulking coming in to a pit penalty at Bathurst giving Loundes the win by holding fords back . Oh did that happen you bet . But no penalty for 888 .
crunchytheclown I think insulting me because you’re in love with your cousin is a solid cover up for finding another way to keyboard bash 888. Both teams are scumbags in their own right, it doesn’t change the fact that solid drivers win series. McLaughlin is exactly that. Coulthard has the same gear but not quite the aggression.
@@Keithy_W never mentioned 888 ? and considering your question I wouldn't have thought the technical side of the sport was an interest for you. Look in the mirror buddy
Yep witch hunt ......they did the same thing to Ambrose back in the day , bit hard to win when red bull is paying the stewards , referees , commentators...........
Scotty and Fabs and their co-drivers didn’t cheat. Their team did. I say scrap DJR Penske for good and give them some proper loyal fair team cars and let them win in that. It’s a shame when something their not in control of is tainted by their teams obsession and greed to win, and it’s a black spot on the Great Race just like the Texaco Sierras, which was awarded rightfully to Brocky afterwards, same thing should happen here, but it’s just the team owner’s faults.
Change all the cars to bog standard mazda cx 7's or hyundai i20's ... should be good to see some teams and drivers with the shits ! Might teach them a lesson for stuffing up a once competitive race series.
So where does this count as Another Scott McLaughlin breach as suggested in the title 🤔 the bloke has done nothing but race his car. Poor effort from supercars for a title grab.
what a joke all the added weight they put in his car all the changes v8 supercars have made to the mustang this year and they still beating holden. it seems only when ford winning everyone moans when holdens winning no one cares. all i have to say is go ford keep winning the time of the commodore has been and gone just like the falcon
Well anyone that knows how engine’s work… 3 out of 8 out of spec would mean it was a dog of an engine…. But somehow he made it work… imagine if he had a proper engine….. There is a reason that same dude is a Indy car winner 🤷♂️
Yeah but he got pole so the motor was illegal he should have not started on pole which gave him an advantage if he got penilised at sandown he should been stripped of Bathurst win
Fact it’s a control camshaft Fact that’s the only way to get lift from a camshaft Why should they be fined for doing something thing out of their control V8 supercars should be fined for idiots running their business Fact nascar is crap and now V8 Supercars are crap.
If the cam was out of spec then there would be a even number of cylinders effected since 1 lobe lifts two valves. It's either 1 lobe and one rocker arm or three rocker arms. It's beyond a joke though. The regulations should be based on the average lift of all intake and exhaust valves. Depending on the angle of the pushrod as the rocker wears you will end up with slightly higher lift.
No the extra lift would have been caused by failed head gaskets which would have also been the cause for the reported engine failure. The extra lift was reported to be 0.0035" more than permitted by the rules or less than one tenth of a mm. This could have easily been caused by failed head gaskets. It was also reported this resulted in no performance advantage in dyno testing. It was a bullshit decision.
Yes it is a control camshaft it was mandated with the COTF it was .025” out, and only out on three cylinders the flow rate would not have even been measurable,as the Dino run obviously showed but regardless of if it’s intolerance it’s all it was an intolerance so to fine someone $30000 and put them to the back of the grid is just head hunting when there at the top of there game typical tall poppy of Australians it gave no extra HP as the commentators said so to be logical nothing even needed to be said there was no gain.
@@lionatelier Have you got a link for the cam info? That does not add up. The engine build sheet showed lift in spec, after the failure the valve lift was only measured at 0.0035" over.
Seems disingenuous to retroactively strip the pole position and not the race win, since the pole position helped him win, and highly unlikely he would've won Bathurst, virtually improbable if he was demoted to last place after qualifying!
Of course Supercars could do it the right way. Tech the engines at the teams shops and seal them before they ever get into the car. And in this case anyway, someone is going to get their butt chewed for not building the engine correctly. That NOT a tactic, that was a screw up. That's someone in the engine room being lazy, or wrong. Either way, it's not what the team wanted in the car.
So it passed the hp test but the witch hunt continued until they found a microscopic breech that gave zero benefit. I'm done with this bullshit series you hobble the mustang and give the commodore more aero. Congratulations 888 are winning again and all is right with your world. @Affordablecandles,com,au Yip and triple 8 was Vodafone Ford, they won't be happy until Scott McLaughlin she'll v power is a holden team,. Pffff Holden don't even use Holden engines😆
Clearly a mindset of win at all costs within the team, which is outside of the spirit of the sport. They've basically been spanked for everything they tried to do at Bathurst, the only success left to them is the win for the drivers. Hopefully they learn from the experience & choose to stay within the rules in future. All the fans want is a fair competition, so we know whoever wins actually deserves it.

It has always been the same. Ford is winning "add weight" Ford is winning "remove area from front splitter" ford is winning "lets make the rear wing smaller" Holden is winning " lets do nothing"
@@mozzaplaysgames7897 2 seconds isn't a big gap. Whingecup and SVG went going well earlier in the year cause they couldn't get cars sorted out as well as DJRTP ... 888 and Whinging Winer decided to cry parity to try and fuckup the DJRTP team , knowing full well the 888 cars hadn't come to grips with the new shockies ect. as well as the DJRTP cars. So 888 used their own incompetence to cry parity, knowing full well they would get their cars going better eventually. And hopefully gain something extra by getting the Mustangs penalized with all the parity crap.
@Rob Godden Mental? Or just blind that you can’t read there was a TEAM breach (Basically cheating which you can’t acknowledge since all you’re on about is how “bad” triple 8 is & how Penske “Is just too good”.
Let’s not forget, some key facts.
2017 - Newcastle
(McLaughlin runs Lowndes into the fence and blocks him moving through like usual)
Issue for the team and they cried over the championship that year.
2019 - Bathurst (Coulthard cheats, gets penalised and there’s a debate over it)
Another bad thing Penske did and CRIED ABOUT.
Let’s also not forget, the title of this video! Where him & the TEAM, changed the engine for
The top 10 shootout and for pole.
I can’t wait for you to come back and say “Oh but 888 cheats too” when they’ve been struggling because of the fact Penske have been quite over the top with their poor choices in RACING.
"I'll just paraphrase..." [reads verbatim from the statement].
Once Holden starts winning and having every car in the top 10 everything will be ok
Seeing 888 motorsport whine about cheating is just too good.
Witch hunt
What a total load of crap, "random engine checks" I bet no 888 engines are "randomly" checked.
All was good until the Fords won a few races in a row then Holden screaming parity / cheating.
🤦♂️
Getting fined and docked spots on the grid because they checked out a motor that sounds like to me was a wreck.
The female cohost had absolutely no idea of what he was talking about lol .
lol was thinking same,
i dont care if you're a guy, girl or potplant. just know the subject matter.
I don't think Mark even knows what he's talking about!
People seem to forget Holden has cheated before too
no since when
When Kelly's team mate blocked Ambrose from passing Kelly at Tasmania so Ambrose in the Ford could not win the championship and Rick Kelly in the Holden could
What a pile of crap, they did the same thing to Ambrose when he was winning,v8s have gone to the dogs .cams is run by Holden lol
Joe VAN DIJK Ok Boomer
Sure is a lot of hate towards the team even though iit's been made clear that nothing was gained from the mistake/mechanical failure with the valves.
mmmm "mistake" that increases valve lift
bit like all the underpaying businesses. Ever notice there is never a mistake that results in people getting paid too much. Amazing really.
@@yarpos increases valve lift on only 3 of 8 cylinders and just caused the engine to over heat.
Tim Cindric giving them nothing
Perhaps DJR should race some Skodas or a Dongfeng....that might please the Holden fans....bahahaha
brett fruin the way their engineering the cars at DJR they’d probably still win in a Skoda! Haha
I bet Roland Dane wanted to fire van Gisbergen when he helped Scott McLaughlin when he rolled at gold coast
seriously ? the only way to kick scotty down, oh but wait redbull nearly laps the entire field but no checks or parity is given go figure.
I would of thought that water in the oil meant a cracked head /gasket and that would be out of anyone’s control but when the Team Principal says he’ll accept the $30,000 penalty..... suss
If Any engine has water in the oil it’s got to be fixed or replaced…no matter street engine or race engine????
Is she drunk ? Stop stuttering lady... s/cars with ch 10 are rubbish
Oh we can’t have a Mustang holding the fastest lap ever and in its inaugural year...
Especially now they are pulling the HP back next year...At least a Falcon still holds it....
So obviously Political 🙄
This is why people are walking away in droves from watching V8 Supercars you cannot buy a V8 Holden Commodore on the road you can buy a V8 Mustang the parity is just bulshit I am so over V8 Supercars
That's the end of 888 supercars, Oops, I meant V8 Supercars for me. In the bin along with Formula 1. Plenty of other real categories to follow now with real racing to see, Not a race controlled by Nerds in the garage and people with university degrees making rules for their computers to determine who is the best.
No. Advantage at all.
The Stewards/888/Supercars going for DJRTP is like the Democrats trying to impeach Trump. What a massive witch hunt.
Spells sore losers. It gave them no advantage you raspberry
To achieve more lift you need a bigger cam right? How wouldn’t it be on purpose, surely couldn’t have used a different cam by mistake
When you are dealing in thousandths, it doesn't take much to throw something out that much.
are you real bud
Not just the cam, the pushrod length can be changed as well
FORD FLIES...CHEVY SHITS
Thanks mate,am from NZ and I feel for Scott. What do you do when rules are changed half way in the game?
Not watched it since we lost all our legends.Racing is so close hence why teams are are doing any little trick to try keep their noses in front.RIP.
Having a power threshold is an absolute joke. Just kills off innovation.
ahh. more bullshittery. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
may as well remove all 4 tyres from the djr if they're that competitive.
the Danes Skaiffe Whinicup supercar stewards co.
Looks like Greg Murphy is still of lap of gods of Bathurst 1000.. LoL 😁
Ryan Baxter always will be, no one can take that from Murph
Scott flogged that time in the falcon
henry brewer only took him and ford over 10 years to do it . Clap clap well done mate good come back!
SM never claimed it as lap of the gods idiot
Skaifeys stoked lmao
looking back at this... ya can clearly see Penske was trying to cheat the game.. the lack of appeal is one major giveaway... the 2nd being Penske leaving after realising he wont get away with the same stuff he does in nascar/indycar...the 3rd being how crap DJR is now Penske cash is gone
But it still within the 5 Liters V8 engines rules
As the great Allan Moffat said, seems like you can’t win a race unless you’re driving a dunnydoor.
Funny that of the 5 cars 3 where mustangs and none from 888
Talk to me about the cheating of winge cup baulking coming in to a pit penalty at Bathurst giving Loundes the win by holding fords back . Oh did that happen you bet . But no penalty for 888 .
you cant cheat in a ford in the holden touring car championsjhip
LOL....It should be 888 supercars championship not V8 supercars
So why is it that a Ford is leading the championship then?
@@Keithy_W made a better mouse trap for homologation and got it through the process, hope that is not to technical for you
crunchytheclown I think insulting me because you’re in love with your cousin is a solid cover up for finding another way to keyboard bash 888.
A lot of comments clearly people don't know what rules are
Scotty and Fabs and their co-drivers didn’t cheat.
Might teach them a lesson for stuffing up a once competitive race series.
yet another reason for the team to be removed from the result of 2019 Bathurst race . Supercars has become a joke
They,re just cheets.
Ah yes, this is the real part of racing, the politics taking away random results.
Well anyone that knows how engine’s work… 3 out of 8 out of spec would mean it was a dog of an engine…. But somehow he made it work… imagine if he had a proper engine…..
There is a reason that same dude is a Indy car winner 🤷♂️
Hey fox it's a DJR breach not a breach by Scott
Jess Yates is gorgeous!
You lot are seething lmao
what a joke! oh thats right its stupidcars
V8 Supercars 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Yeah you saw it in Dicks face when he was walking back with the trophy in his hand. He new they cheated to win. End of story.
What about the win?
Yeah but he got pole so the motor was illegal he should have not started on pole which gave him an advantage if he got penilised at sandown he should been stripped of Bathurst win
@@robertblink4836 i agree. How can you take the pole position and not the win, they go hand in hand.
Fact it’s a control camshaft
Fact that’s the only way to get lift from a camshaft
Why should they be fined for doing something thing out of their control V8 supercars should be fined for idiots running their business
Fact nascar is crap and now V8 Supercars are crap.
Nathaniel Nixon no it’s not
If the cam was out of spec then there would be a even number of cylinders effected since 1 lobe lifts two valves.
Holden v8 supercars series..
They just need to strip him of the Bathurst win and be done with it. DJR are just a bunch of cheaters and liars
Seems disingenuous to retroactively strip the pole position and not the race win, since the pole position helped him win, and highly unlikely he would've won Bathurst, virtually improbable if he was demoted to last place after qualifying!
And yet here he is CHAMPION again 👏🏼👏🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼.
@@tradernz2038 you can't say and yet when he wasn't penalised on the day, makes no sense bud
Holden fans are all sore losers waa waa waa
That’s why mustang are cheating
So it passed the hp test but the witch hunt continued until they found a microscopic breech that gave zero benefit. I'm done with this bullshit series you hobble the mustang and give the commodore more aero. Congratulations 888 are winning again and all is right with your world. I can't wait until my subscription is up with Fox so I can cancel it
Typical american sideswiping the real issues, no intent, bull
FORD cheating?
Why I never!
Dude Holden is DEAD,. Music to my ears
What about hola treating Holdens done over the years
Typical Penske always stretching the rules just like in 1967 with the Camaro they raced
Naughty Ford / Detroit pressure being applied . . WIN AT ALL COSTS... sic (Cheat but don't get caught). Good governance and assurance at work catching them out.
🤔
answer this. if there is no advantage then why in God's name did they get a penalty. in fact, there was a power loss. supercars you're a joke!
Cheats
did you watch the whole video?
Triple eight winning doesn’t seem to draw the same scrutiny 🤔
