I love how you set the strap so you only have to adjust one side. Consider this stolen. It's the little things like this ... plus the fact you give out more pure info than others do in 3 times the video length ... that makes you one of the best fitness influencers on RUclips.
I’ve been dealing with a lot of knee pain but the only way to relieve it is by strengthening the leg muscles. I hope isometrics will help get me to the point of relief so I can be more functional. Thanks for the video
Awesome! I plan to alternate this with my "normal" lower body days. I find that changing up the workout style with every workout keeps things interesting.
Hi Matt, great videos you got in your channel. You are a great teacher and I really appreciate you... By any chance, do you have a calisthenics program out there, i.e. follow along videos? I am a beginner and looking for someone to teach me the right way to progress in my calisthenics journey. Much love! ❤
I have plenty of workout ideas in the playlists. Yoiu can find a playlist for the specific area you want to adress. Other than that, my Grind Style Calisthenics workout program is where I direct folks to start The GSC book: amzn.to/32TQhQh The GSC 12-month program: cutt.ly/v9zgCTI
@@RedDeltaProject I ended up buying your Grind Style series. Also, the second link (Teespring) is not working. Says "There was a problem loading this listing." I am curious about that 12-month program. Do you have a working link for it? Thanks, Matt!
You make the best videos mate… great stuff. I would love to see you talk about extreme isometrics from the Jay Schroeder school of thought. Long duration in the deepest stretched position of movements…
Question: What brand is the platform you are using? It is exactly what I have been looking for to go with my strap. Thank you so much for your videos. I enjoy using them and your book.
@roadtriptovegas - The platform he's using comes with the Dragondoor Isochain. Earliest iteration used a steel plate to stand on and then this platform was used for an updated design.
@@BluBlu111 Do you mean that older people wouldn’t benefit from isometrics? Red Delta did an interview with a 60yo bodybuilder that started implementing isometrics so he could keep training without pain and gain strength because some of the more dynamic exercises were giving him trouble.
I've been doing Overcoming Iso's for a while now and have gotten way stronger and actually put on some good muscle at my age ... 67 ... which I thought I couldn't do. Keep in mind that there is a difference between muscles contracting and your joints moving and when it comes to Time Under Tension (TuT), whether your joints move or not is irrelevant. It's all about muscle contraction. With Overcoming Iso's, you can use 100% max strength for an exercise and you can train a muscle at different angles for complete development. Also, if you want to know if your form is correct on an exercise, this will let you know real quick.

And underrated! AGREED!
Where can I get that platform for the straps?
One of the few creators that I 'like' before actually watching the video! So much consistant value.

Good one Matt! It's going to burn!
Also, have you tried any longer holds like your chiropractor/natural bodybuilder friend recommended?

@@4MoreVideo thank you so much for letting me know. It is very worth the price after looking it up.
How do you progress with isometric exercises
Push or pull longer and harder
@7:58 Hey do you have a variation to emphasize tib posterior? Thanks!
Could I just use a towel and stand on it
Thanks Matt, exactly what I need! Lately I feel my pist+shrimp squats are getting a little stale...
Straps for gym rings could work too, right?
The handles for the iso trainer are so comfortable though… It's a must get

So flexing your muscles and moving against an "immovable object" has its benefits ?
