To all fellow modelers i came up with a great idea concerning kids and people touching my set up i have an old fashion roll top desk 5ft long and all i do when the young one come around is close the lid and bingo it play time the desk has draws on each side and there's lots of room on desk for paint racks and supplies for modeling
Nice video and well presented. Didn't want the full compressor and gun because of space. Looking forward to starting having not modelled for many years.
thanks i have also found a few other airbrushes will fit to the compressor and will have to put a new update video up showing how to get them to fit and work
Great video! very underrated I'm surprised you only have 15 subscribers you should have more, I'm currently brush painting all my models and want to switch to airbrush, any tips/ advice on how to buy and operate one?
Thanks I have recently started to upload video's and I am glad it's something people want to watch I would say for 30 to 40 pound on eBay and Amazon the portable spray kits are a great introduction to spray painting If you can afford a bit more for a airbrush like what I used it's even better I have gone through 3 different styles of compressor over the 40 years I have been modeling and I am more impressed with this cheap portable one than any other
@@yorkshiremanmodels cool, airbrush is definitely something worthwhile and I would probably get something similar to the one you have here as I haven't got much room for all the cords and extra equipment. hope you continue to make videos!
Great review, can you tell me what make it is, I like the fact it only uses power when you press the trigger which is a great feature. Thanks in advance.
Honestly I haven't noticed any but I don't do extremely small details with it as I have a procon boy platinum 0.2 for that The cordless airbrush is still going strong and it still holds charge the same as when I first purchased it
I assume this would be good for 1/72 cockpits, brush just isn't fine enough, spray would be good, I think. I have a pile of Airfix kits calling to me to build them.....
I'm hopeless......I can't resist Airfix kits.......especially the old ones......I usually sand raised place lines off, scribe lights, and paint. Brush is too heavy, gonna try one of these. It's amazing how much difference that makes on an Airfix kit. Airfix has such a cool selection of aircraft that other companies overlook. Thanks.
@@richsmith7200 i love airfix as well and build them regularly i do enjoy the older models and airfix have a vintage range so you get the old kits but with new decals that havent yellowed or become brittal keep a eye out for my new video that should drop this week its a airfix spitfire build
honestly i think it would be fine i have the paint flow cut down in the video most of the time because i dont want to flood the model the only thing is it may be easy to clog the nozzle if the paint is too thick but that is the case for all these small airbrushes with less than 0.5 needles if the kits are very large you may have to wait a short while to recharge the battery if it becomes too low but i paint 1/48 scale aircraft that are over a foot long and same agian on width and i dont have any problems with battery time hope this answer helps
@@samsungh3137 i dont have any at the moment and the only place i have seen them in the uk is on ebay which i dont use but i will keep looking for some
@@yorkshiremanmodels A later reply suggests you got a coupling for this. Where did you get it from as I have one of these compressor airbrushes and the threads are reversed just like yours

Hi I just recently brought a cordless airbrush and find it good to use on the I work great video very helpful and informative

Great video, thanks 4 sharing😊
Thanks for watching

my wife had her old grand mothers table which was similar but it was thrown away a long time ago
wish we had saved it now

I bought one with 2 detachable batteries so you can charge one and use one.... Struggled with the brush but hopefully got it sorted.
Nice one didn't know you could get extra battery for it
Once you get the hang of it then it is nice and easy to use
@@yorkshiremanmodels it's a different model I got but it was about the same price
Did o miss it, what brand is the airbrush/battery kit?
it says on the box
ribo auto
model: metu 30
there is a few similar versions about but you need make sure it has auto stop start

just seen on other side of the box
elikliv airbrush kit
dont know if that helps or not
is there any pulsing evident in the spray pattern given that the motor sounds like a diaphragm pump?

this will help with getting the main colour down but the tiny details like seats and handles ect will still need to be brushed

I am looking for an airbrush to paint rc car bodies (the clear polycarbonate ones). Would this be suitable? Looks like it doesn't put out much paint.

If it has the same thread as the Iwata airbrush you might just need a 1/8" BSP coupling to switch it from a male to female thread.
Thanks for that I didn't know the size
It takes some of the cheap airbrushes I have

If you get one of these, get one that comes with a hose. Holding this thing all the time gets very annoying.
yea they have newer versions now and a hose version is a must
Need a conector?I think i have one,no money charge.
thanks but i have sorted it to take other airbrushes
How much
Around £70 in UK but prices are rising in UK fast for everything
With the inevitable advances in technology, I'm sure that these will soon take over from the traditional airbrushes.
honestly they are so handy and easy to use i often dont get my expensive airbrushes out anymore unless its for super fine detail work
