The first time in 1979 that I heard Brass in Pocket I stopped what I was doing to listen to that voice. She was speaking to me. To my heart and my soul. I had found the music that made me feel like I had just discovered music. That day I went to the record store and bought the 8 track tape of the Pretenders. I memorized it within days and have never looked back. I had every Pretenders album, then cassettes, then cd’s. Someone stole most of them from me in 2012 when I became disabled and had to leave my job. When I went back the next day to get my belongings, my cd’s were gone. I had been working more than I was home so I took a bunch of cd’s to work . I’ve read her book and listen to it on Audible. Thank you Christie Hynde for writing and singing songs that make me feel like you are doing it just for me.

It beats wearing a bunch of makeup and plastic surgery So instead of fighting Mother Nature, you Just Go With It - and you put your best foot/image forward. But since I'm TV? There's been far too much emphasis on looks - especially female artists...
