I have a 2000 Lincoln ls v8 3.9 working great .check engine light is on , recently replaced ignition coils, still on. Traction control is always on previous owners caused it. Fun car to drive.
Yeah, very nice! I have the same year and color. If anyone has problem with an LS V8, Im sure i can help you out, ive done it all on mine. The bleeding of the heating system is not hard as some show you, its easier then you think. Fill the over flow bottle first, put cap back on, open the cap or plug by the thermostat, fill it almost to the top, push or pump the lower radiator hose push air out sucking in coolant, add a little more coolant, pushing on up hose, keep repeating until no bubbles, fill to top, cap on, done. thats it. You dont have to do anything else. If you want the LS V8 to sound like no other, i bought this stainless steal mufflers, 8" round, 5" angle cut tip, and ill tell you what, that is a sweet muscle car sound. ive had alot of comments because it has a sound all its own. I love taking off traveling down the interstate in this car, the power it still has since new! Maybe not yours but this LS, if you are not some kind of a mechanic, had to take it to a shop, no way could you of afforded to keep this car what a problem child and a bitch to get at. Anyway, i see im rambling, lol, but yeah, nice LS, take care!
Just got a 2002 Lincoln LS V8 with only 44k miles on it... garage kept and the paint and leather look brand new.. what should I be concerned with on a 20 yr old car??
Nice I just bought my LS 3 weeks before Christmas it was my gift to myself I absolutely love it I have an 03 model another classic story of I bought a car from an old lady it only has 137k on the clock garage kept too burgundy red I wish I could post pics here my plan is to trick it out
@@SoLoCruizer you can find the main parts, like battery, alternator, starter, etc... but things are car model specific i.e. the a/c vent bezel, a/c control module, are no longer being made and you have to take your chance with places like EBay.
Nice build bro 👌 I just got a Lincoln ls v8 02 I've had it for about 5 months now I love it they are awesome cars, I haven't done anything to it yet, just hit 110,000 miles
I have a 2002 Lincoln LS I've had it for 10 years it has 233,614 mi on it and I still drive it everyday I keep it so I don't put the miles on my Genesis I was going to go by a new Lincoln before I bought my new genesis and went to the Lincoln dealership and it broke my heart when I seen all the V6 front wheel drive Lincolns
@@dustyallen1312 You seen that? UNBELIEVABLE! Lincoln went to shyt! Their Supposed to be RWD wit a Long Nose Design now they look like Fancy Economic Boxes, "Toyotas Fancy Brother" FWD is boring!!
Hey Alan, I like those wheels! Would you mind telling me where you got them? Also, I really enjoyed your video. It's given me a lot of ideas for my own, recently acquired, '05 LS (ceramic pearl). I think it's awesome you've had your car for so long. My best friend had the same car (black) in high school and it saved his life in a bad accident on the interstate. The bond between man and machine can be very strong! I just picked up a pearl '05 LS with 110k on it. I had 5% tint applied, threw a K&N typhoon intake on it, and had a custom cat-back exhaust installed with x-pipe venting back to Vibrant mufflers with 3.5" tips. I am absolutely in love with the way it sounds. X4 tuner is on the way with some pre-loaded tunes. Oh, and I had a Sony touchscreen w/Android Auto installed replacing the factory radio.

Nice ride. I still have mine and did a little work to it. Not too hard to find parts but they are few and far.

I live in Murfreesboro too and I just bought an LS to be a daily.
Oh really?! Small world!
what breaks are those?
Stock. Just slotted and drilled rotors and painted calipers
I just bought one of these it's a lil beat up but there's a really strong fresh gas smell when I drive it inside the car any ideas
Cats, exhaust leak, or a fuel line is where I’d start
Can you make an acceleration video?
Yeah I can lol it’s not fast though
@@iAlan7 that’s fine lol

You have 3” and 2.5” projectors?
where did you get your headlights?
Damn you literally never see these cars anymore
Clean AF
I have 04 v6 and in the same color, it has poor acceleration, any idea what could cause that?
I’d start by cleaning the fuel system / injectors. If that doesn’t work then maybe the spark plugs and coil packs
