I had the privilege to serve in the "Old Guard," in 1974 and 1975. This brought back many memories. Thank you.
Watching this video brings back some very excellent memories of my time in the 3rd US Infantry TOG from February 1984- December 1986 with Alpha and Bravo Companies.
Thanks so much for allowing ❤ 😊 ☺ 🙏 💕 💗 ❤ 😊 ☺ 🙏 💕 on RUclips.
What a wonderful ceremony. The United States of America are such a great country to honour that much their heroes who fight and who fought for their homeland. Musics, uniforms, flags, are so many symbols that allow us to always remember what sacrifices soldiers do to allow us to live in freedom.
Respectfully,
Victor (France).
I shared this on my support our troops page. Great video.
Summerall Field - where it’s summer all the time!
D Co. 1-3INF (TOG) - 2005-2008
Escort - sword qualified (not very many people in the Army can say that.. Took those skills with me over to USADSS where I also served as color guard PSG)
-This we’ll defend
Nice job not moving Maj. Gen. Becker when the campaign ribbons were in his face. 31:38
Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall
Love those open rolls-they can do justice to the heroes buried here!
I'm curious about the march song from this event, can you tell the title?
2:32 the flag bearer XD
3 years Commander in Chiefs Guard. True test of ones masculinity to wear a wig in public we used to say 😆
LOL! I served in A Company from February 1984- November 1985 at Fort McNair with the CINC GUARD! Yes you are right about wearing a white wig with bobby pins and a hair net! Yes it was a test of one's masculinity !
WOW! Magnificent ceremony! Love the guys standing around with flags. Uh-hey guys, pick your f****** horns up-you're not a fifth ward juvenile band!
Is this at Arlington? Doesn't look like it, but they have to expand to to honor the former military who would like to be at Arlington.
bengemeister yes it is
Summerall Field is at the U.S. Army and Marine Corps Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, which is adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery.
I tried to get my life for me and my family and friends Amen. 40 years of my life me.

Charles Rakes Jr.
What is the name of the first song played?
Old Guard always marches onto the parade field to Sousa's "Infantry Regiment" marching tune. Pass in Review music is "The Old Guard March."
@@petersroka8431 It's actually Rifle Regiment by Sousa and Grandioso by Roland Seitz. but yes, Old Guard march is another favorite of TOG.
