- In this new video series, we react to videos that you recommend and give a Sikhi perspective on them! The first video is an absolute journey, where we react to a person who has converted from Sikhism to Islam.

What point did this Muslim brother get the most wrong?
Saying that the guru's were prophets and him saying that it is a mixture of hindu and Islam.
believing that God cannot exist in everything/everyone, and one point about "if you want to taste the sweetness of truth than follow the islam" ... Sikhi tells Muslims to be true Muslims. There were a lot of different misconceptions that the muslim brother had about gurbani and sikhs saying about islam. He lacked the research. There was an another point about sikhs praying 5 times a day, in Sikhi the prayer times are very practical, for example: before going to work in the morning and one after coming back from the work in the evening and before going to bed. Sikhism is the most practical way of lifestyle, it's wonderful and Amazing.....

When he said Sikhs pray 5 times a day n the guy was like what you sure and instead of taking a breath and correcting himself he said with his chest they do it at the same times of the day too 😆 😂

I remember Bhai Jagraj Singh Ji's days,I had just become a Sikh that time,I remember those Debates with Muslim preachers who used to twist Gurbaani and say mean things and try to convey false things,and Bhai Jagraj Singh ji used to disprove them easily, although they would get irritating,but he kept his cool
And and again seeing a person like this I was reminded of those videos,it's good to see you guys actually addressing them and clearing up the missininformation they are spreading

being an hindu what i have observed that sikhism is not a mixture of hindu or muslim its the path of peace which waheguru ji have show to us humans.
Sikhs are not a mix of Hindus and Muslims for Nanak rejected both paths but followed only that of Shabad as his sole Guru.

Guru nanak showed hundreds. He's antaryama, he knew what a person thinks before the person actually tells.
When the king lodhi asked guru nanak to read namaz, he said lodhi was not doing namaz either, he was thinking about something else. And he became the first person who could openly say that no one is hindu or muslim, without being killed by the Islamic rulers. Because he proved his point.

exactly one of my muslim friend already said me that when she tried to show me that God is not everywhere...long discussion... I think is because their way of discribe God (same for christian, jews by the way) is not the same that we have. For them God is in the sky above us above the universe...so for them it's hard to understand sikhi thinking.

@@sarabkaliaankaur4635 it depends on how you interpret the Quran. The Sufis interpret the Quran in a way where you can argue that God is everywhere. There is Quran verse that refers to God as both the apparent and the hidden, which could be similar to the concept of nirgun and sargun in Sikhi.

I really love this series! It’s like Speakers Corner or Street Parchar, but in a podcast form. Especially with Covid and inability to go out, this is a great alternative. Learning a lot and it’s engaging because it’s a debate/rebuttal format.

We know that Gurbani is the highest of all baani (baaniya sir baani). This means it's for Sikhs, words in Sri Guru Granth sahib jee Maharaj sits above Quran, vedas, Bible and all other spiritual texts.
Also, all the 10 Gurus were God upon earth. And now, the light of God resides inside the words Guru Granth sahib jee embeds.
Do you think Islam has problem with Sikhi?? I don't, even though, there has been many so called "Muslims " in the history who has committed hideous atrocities on sikhs, but we don't think they represent Islam's ideology.

Our Guru says that truth is truth but some have their both eyes closed and other have only one eye close from truth. God’s message is universal since the beginning of time. When I first learned about Sikhism I learned that it was like a mixture of Hinduism and Islam. Since learning much more about it I know now this is an inaccurate representation. I think this idea just stems from the geographical location that sikhism arose from, and the way that the gurus would say that muslims/hindus/whatever should be a good muslim/hindu. In my time watching Sikh discussion videos I have seen those verses brought up and discussed again and again. I enjoy your videos a lot and the content you put out. However I'm not sikh and my western ear has a hard time picking up some of the words. I like to google and read about different topics that you discuss and sometimes it can be difficult trying to figure out the proper spelling and such lol. A visual representation of some of the important words and topics would really help the non Sikh and western viewers. Keep up the great content!

@@abdulqureshi4790 The Prophet's biography was written over 100 year's after his death, the hadiths writer over 200 year's after his death, the Quran was penned together much later after the Prophet's death & without his permission too, the guy who penned it even mentions it at the starting of the Quran too.
It says in the Quran you're not even supposed to talk ill of other religion's but look at the bloody Islamic conquests into other countries after the Quran was written, brutal rapes (some even dead bodies), brutal murders, forceful conversions all by the sword & all for power & greed just to serve those in charge of the Islamic invasions, even the general's didn't fully know the Quran but were given copies & order's to invade & conquer when the true jihad was within, the 5 vices that destroy a man within greed, lust, anger etc...

whatever wrong is done in the name of Islam doesn’t make Islam wrong.
Prophet Muhammad pbuh fought defensive Jihad, not offensive. Prophet was allowed defence only after 13 long years of persecution in Mecca.
Quran was memorised and preserved by scribes during the time of Muhammad pbuh. It was put together during the time of third Caliphate. Hence there is no question of preservation of the Quran.
The biggest Jihad one can do is self reformation, becoming a good person conforming to true teachings of Islam. Military form is the least form of Jihad and only applicable in certain situations eg when you are being stopped from practising your religion peacefully and even then where all other options have been exhausted such as migrating from the country. There is no such condition at present in most countries so militant Jihad is not valid. Powerful arguments of Islam are enough to win over people with a clear conscience.
@abdulqureshi4790 the Quran is not the same one preserved during the Prophet's time! The early Quran had 17"000 verses, and today's Quran has only 6"000 verses, as mentioned by Adnan Rashid in one of his speeches.
There's a Raabi on here admitting reincarnation in the Torah and why they hid it. I have no doubt that in the other 11"000 verses, reincarnation was mentioned. Otherwise, how do you explain Muslims remembering their past lives in Islamic countries?

One reason I struggle with BOS is that they don't like people making generalized statements and yet they do that when describe hinduism. Hinduism has basic beliefs similar to Sikhi and there are 100s of sects that belive in different way. Many strayed away from the true liberation path and many incorporated culture into their hindu sects. There are many hindu sects that only belive in meditation on the Supreme only. There are many hindu sects who never had a belief in sati because that was a man made rule. Alot of descriptions in hindu about the Supreme are the same as Sikhi. Many hindu sects don't believe in worshipping idols. So let's not say Hinduism has certain rules and that's why Sikhi is Supreme. That is the same as cherry picking because you're ignoring the hindu aspect of the mukthi which is achieved by not worshipping the devtas but the Supreme. In the gita, it says worshipping the devtas only helps you in the material world. If I offended anyone, that was not my intention, I apologize in advance.

I live in Indonesia, let me tell you sad reality of Sikhs in Indonesia and Malaysia, Sikhs in these countries have absolutely no idea if Sikhi and it's history, when I say absolutely I mean it, absolute 0. Their kids are running away from Sikh since parents can't teach anything anymore, Gurudwaras are full of politics, kids go to school and first thing they learn in school is Islamic prayers are per Islamic propaganda. I am so saddend by situation but there isn't much I can do, my own relatives can't speak punjabi at all.

One correction: Quran was also written/compiled within the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad (saw) as he dictated the entire Qur'an himself. Qur'an was only standardized under Uthman. So for eg, the current order of the Qur'an (order as in which chapter comes first etc) was done under Uthman in order to make Qur'an easier to read for non-Arabic speaking Muslims.
Qur'an is not like bible where authors that wrote it probably never meant Jesus etc. We have Qur'anic manuscripts from 1st century of Islam which are theologically no different from the Qur'an we have today worldwide. So GGS is not the only book dictated/approved by the founders of the faith.
Mohammad did not write the Quran himself . Uthman collated his version from parchments and memories of those who recited the so called word .

@@Curiouzzz750 And? Still doesn't change the fact that Quran that we have is Prophet's words (secular academia). Compilation of Quran into a standardized version was done by Uthman. That's it. Hundreds of people wrote Quran under Prophet's direct supervision and memorized it word by word. Prophet cross checked the written and oral recitation by making scribes read out loud what they wrote.
So the main argument remains the same: GGS is not the only book written/dictated by the founders of the faith. Quran is the word (of God) as dictated by Prophet himself.
