I have found coupler trip pins to be an absolute menace to society. I started using pliers to bend mine up further. If you don't use the magnet uncouple thingy, cutting them off entirely might be a good idea. But thanks for posting this video!
Wow! The HO FRA are going to be busy! I'm trying to imagine how small the wheel gauges have to be to measure the flanges LOL! Next thing we know it, the HO NTSB will get involved and we'll see HO wheel truing shops and HO track gangs popping up all over the place!
i'd bet with that fan-powered meme unit, it's having trouble intaking the air it needs to push back since it's right up against the back of the teeny cab unit. It's able to push a bit at the start because it uses the still air all around it, but then after that has trouble sucking more in to blow back. Moving the fan farther back, on top or in front would do the trick, if any of these are even possible

I'm pretty sure a lot of that was the result of failing to follow standards. Especially low coupler trip pins. It's simple get a kadee height gauge, and if the pin touches the base plate, bend them up slightly with pliers or cut off entirely. Then some is probably dirty wheel or track related as well.
as much of a mess it would be to clean up. i would like to fill empty hopper cars made of metal with small pebbles and stone but make a almost realistic engine that can in theory spray sand on inclines and allow it to move with a much heavier load. would also make derailments seem much cooler.
I wonder, Where are Alco FA/FB units? I watched a video about the Rapido Alco FA/FB-2 units, and the Canadian Pacific FA-1 with FB-2 looks pretty good.

@Cyber_Horse_Studios87 Found the Amtrak piece at a show, it was too chaotic not to grab. There's a video of it solely running on channel as well. The layout would do the same, whether it was DC or DCC under the hood.

Layout doesn't have the most scenic shot options, so repeat angles when covering a new engine or normal running are fairly common when I'm not doing tracking shot alongside.

Imho i think a cowling would work better, given the shape of the blades. Seems to be pushing air more to the sides if anything

Factory standard height cars with no sag fall victim to this joint as well. There's no rhyme or reason.
