IT CAN HAPPEN
You can fool yourself
You can cheat until you're blind
You can cut your heart
It can happen
You can mend the wires
You can feed the soul apart
You reach
It can happen to you
It can happen to me
It can happen to everyone eventually
It's a constant fight
A constant fight
You're pushing the needle to the red
Black and white
Who knows who's right
No substitute you're born you're dead
Fly by night
Created out of fantasy
Our destinations call
Look up - Look down
Look out - Look around
Look up - Look down
There's a crazy world outside
We're not about to lose our pride
It can happen to you
It can happen to me
It can happen to everyone eventually
As you happen to say
It can happen today
As it happens
It happens in every way
This world I like
We architects of life
A song a sigh
Developing words that linger
Through fields of green through open eyes
This for us to see
Look up - Look down
Look out - Look around
So look up - Look down
There's a crazy world outside
We're not about to lose our pride
It can happen to you
It can happen to me
It can happen to everyone eventually
As you happen to say
It can happen today
As it happens
It happens in every way
As you happen to see
It will happen to be
Nothing happens to nowhere and nowhere
[Solo]
Look up - Look down
There's a crazy world outside
We're not about to lose our pride
It can happen to you
It can happen to me
It can happen to everyone eventually
As you happen to see
It will happen to be
Nothing happens to nowhere and nowhere
You can fool yourself
You can cheat until you're blind
You can cut your heart
You can fool yourself
You can cheat until you're blind
It can happen to you
It can happen to me
You can cut your heart
It can happen to everyone eventually
As you happen to say
It can happen today
As it happens
It happens in every way
You can mend the wires
You can feed the soul apart
You can touch your life
You can bring your soul alive
It can happen to you
It can happen to me
It can happen to everyone eventually
As you happen to say
It can happen today
As it happens
It happens in every way

90125 is the eleventh studio album from the English progressive rock band Yes, released in 1983 on Atco Records. It was the first studio album since their 1981 breakup and the first to feature Trevor Rabin, and also marked the return of vocalist Jon Anderson, who had quit the band prior to their tenth studio album of 1980. It also marked the first time in twelve years that original keyboardist Tony Kaye had appeared with the group.
The album was titled after its Atco Records catalogue number (for example, 7-90125-1 for the LP).

Hard to believe it's been 40 years since 90125 was released. I'm 63 and still listening. 🤗
same, age 59 ❤🔥
The Indian sitar sound is the best part..😍
Snap,March ‘61
I Got the 4-cd Album size Special Edition with this song From BMG Music Club. ( Or was it Columbia House I forget...I was in both of those clubs !!! My my my how the Times a Just Fly by !!
66 here. I saw them twice in concert. They were amazing. I’ve seen a lot of the best rock bands from ‘back in the day’, YES stands out.
Rest in peace, Chris Squire. Thanks for the awesome music.
Juan Rivera indeed Juan.🐈👍💜
One of the best bass players ever . will least now he is joined with all the other gods.
Juan Rivera YES 🙏
Like his version singing too !
Bmorance upon your Soul 💚💚💚💚💚
One of the greatest rock tunes of all time. Period. Hauntingly amazing . What a voice
Isn't that true. Hauntingly amazing. Right on the money.
Rest in peace Allen White. I grew up on Yes' music and "It Can Happen" was my favorite song by them and one of my favorites period. My condolences to his family and bandmates.
Its Yes guys ?Oh my God.I believe in that !
Don't forget Chris Squire. He died back in 2015.
Chris Squire's Green bass here-
I grew up in Winchester, Massachusetts. In a building right off the downtown square, was a Jim Mouradian's Guitar repair & building shop. Jim was great- He built this bass for Squire, and there were always a bunch of this design hanging around the shop. One of his employees was Pat Badger, who later was the bass player for the band Extreme.
Jim Mouradian died only a year after Chris Squire, and I raise a glass to them both.
i just played a show with pat and dark desert eagles. great guy
For years I never noticed the C and S. I just thought it was a non-objective design. 😆
Chris Squire played in all of the Yes line ups.
I grew up not to far from you down in CT
That is so Cool dude💯🤟😎
It's almost criminal this video only has 1 million views. I'm a 90's kid and my dad would play 80's rock all throughout my childhood and this is one of the songs that stood out to me
What I think some people may miss is that a lot of songs from Yes in this era are actually very inspirational. This song, Owner of a Lonely Heart, Changes, etc...bringing Anderson back at the last minute to sing on 90125 really compelled the band to new heights, and combined with Rabin's incredible song writing and riffs just make this whole album such a masterpiece of prog rock. Loved it then, and love it even more now lol
🎶♥️
Agreed. This is a fantastic and sorely underrated album.
This album showed many that prog rog doesn't need to be long and drawn out. A prog classic can fit into the radio time limit if done properly. And yes definitely led the way with this album
Bill S It is only under rated by Yessnobs. Fans of these guys like you and me who love all their music, think and know differently. 90125 was a brilliant album and one of their best. Even Rick Wakeman called it Yes’ most important album. He wishes he had been on it.
Could not agree more
On his website, Rick Wakeman said the passing of Chris was the "end of an era." Rest in peace, Mr. Squire.
I agree 100%. Chris Squire was my idol. He could never be replaced.
Sorry but Yes is no longer Yes without Chris Squire and Jon Anderson
I bought 90125 when it came out (on cassette) and this became one of my favorite songs off all time. I later got into older Yes and have been a fan ever since.
Likewise. I was born in 1970 so had to work backwards too!
Still love 90125 and BG though 👍
@@ednewton4455 Same with me!! We're almost 50....
Cassette told something..
Same!
A great album indeed. May have to listen on the way home today.
Jon Anderson has a great singing voice. This song just rocks in every way.
RIP Chris. You were a musical genius.
I was going to college in 1982 to be a mechanical engineer. Our class would play 90125 album all the time in the drafting room. That's my intro to YES. Best album ever, not a bad song in the bunch!!!!!
I like the vision of drafting boards, vellum, 2mm lead, stencils, eraser dust,.....everybody learning their craft and listening to masters of theirs
Outstanding. I played this album to death in the 80's.
Me too!
Me too!
Best driving music 🎶 🚗 🔥
this song is one of the greatest artistic achievements in history.
Hi I Recommend checking out an indie song Called 'The Bond Villain' By Robert Nix
I love all the decades of YES...but it cannot be denied the Trevor Rabin catapulted YES into the 80s & 90s..two great decades of YES releases.
Listening to this song in Afganistan . I was never scared to die,
same thing on the 1k zone in 1984 when it 1st came out
Vic Yodle. From a former 3AD Spearheader. ✌
What's it all about?
1/505 PIR 82ND, same here!
Thank You for your service. Was a Navy Corpsman in Desert Storm (Northern Iraq) in 1991.
Such incredible vocals from this band. Sounds like nothing else I have experienced from this era of R&R. A true diamond in the ruff.
People can say what they will about the Rabin era, matter of taste, but Yes was never stronger vocally than this. Jon, Chris and Trevor were an amazing combination of voices.
Very strong vocals.
Yes : a band overflowing with talent riskiness and creativity.
Indeed !!! Highly inspiring song, mostly featuring Chris Squire, as he wrote the majority of it !!!
I wish Chris Squire would have sang more. The years with Rabin he did some but he could sing very unique voice. I absolutely love this version but the cinema version that Squire sings the vocals on is amazing also
Every rendition of Yes is just above majestic
This song is FANTASTIC! And as a fan aware of the whole catalog, this is just a wonderful leap ahead for the franchise.
Alleen White is so sweet,wow.
This song still sounds great 40 years later.
Maybe better today than 83 because nothing today comes anywhere close to this majesticness.
But of course
Especially because of the Indian sitar sound...love Yes...😍😊
Сыграно и спето очень величественно!!!!!!
Trevor Rabin brought musicality to this version of Yes. This album and Big Generator are top notch
No substitute, you're born...
Sounds like a prayer from these gentlemen! Respect! Love! All the things! 🫶🏼❣️😎
The great Jon Anderson in one of the BEST songs of Yes. Simply fantastic!
Trevor Rabin ist einfach ein großartiger Allroundmusiker🎉🎉
Hey people. I happen to love this song and this video and I agree that it is definitely 80's. What's wrong with Yes progressing beyond the 70's?? Do you expect Yes to sound and look like they did in the 60's during the 80's? When you are ready to write out their paychecks, then you can tell them what to do. You've gotta remember Yes is part of a BIG business.
I think Jon's white bow tie is cool! Only in the 80's! The 80's was a magical time for me. I'm sorry all of you hated it so bad.
If you want magic to happen in your life, you have to make it happen! It can happen!
I call those Yes fans "The Purists" they hate change, they hate Trevor Rabin, I could go on and on. I love every phase of the band
Hey Steve..nice to see and hear an actual intelligent fan, especially a YES fan. IMO one of the to 20 groups of all time..I DO agree with u, but I think that the "look", sound, feel, etc. of the band wasn't so much the " time" but more of what Jon was feeling and his whole persona. We both, and ALL of Yes fans, know that he went through many changes in different parts of his life. Whatever the reason it makes no difference, they will always be in that upper class of musicians.
I agree, unlike Genesis, I thought Yes' progression with time just seemed more natural.
I hadn't seen this in decades. What the heck is Chris Squire wearing? I always loved that sitar in the intro.
I've been listening to Yes since I was 8 years old. That was like 1973. An older cousin turned me on to them. Haven't looked back since. I never tire of their music.
Chris Squire, what can be said? You were the greatest, dude. Rest Well.
This is my favorite song on the album.
Descansen en paz Squire y White..grandes ..
Gotta love Chris' Mouradian bass, custom made by Jim Mouradian with Chris' initials CS on the front of the body. RIP Mr. Squire!
Growing up hearing Yes being played on the radio, it never really dawned on me of how outstanding their music ways. And still is. I've definetely developed a deep appreciation for their songs.
Very positive song by an extremely talented band. Very good well written and put together song.
This album occured at a nexus in my progression towards rock and life in general. In a word, this album is: "Perfection!"🙏🙄
Job Anderson has such a unique and distinct singing voice and along with all the other very talented musicians made YES one of my favourite bands in the 80's. Arguably one of the best prog rock bands period!
Hi I Recommend checking out an indie song Called 'The Bond Villain' By Robert Nix
"As you happen to say it can happen today as it happens it happens in every way" !!!!
I could leave a thousand comments on how much this song means to me.... Genius.. and I'll leave it.. yes another Yes song 90125.. me and my dad's favorite..
Miss Chris Squire so much 😢 he is just everything on this track ❤
A Truly spiritual song, representing Eastern philosophies. That and ‘Leave It’ represented a new spiritual way of life for YES and all its listeners and fans. Long live YES!
Do you gave any idea what the spoken word stuff is at the beginning and end of the video?
It is songs like this and bands like YES that make me heavily influenced by the 80's!! I was 6 years old when this came out. I am still listening to 80's music in 2023, YES and other genres of music as well.
Great SONG
Great album
Great guitar work
Great video
Love this album
Yes rules!
And RIP Chris Squire
Jon anderson's voice is magical such a beautiful singer he is I love bis songs and his voice is from heaven
Listening to this group is spiritual. Uplifting. What else can I say ? I try to think of new and unique words and phrases. Loving this group may be hard znd challenging to describe at times but the proof is in the music. Their musicianship standard sets the bar very high indeed. Amazing lea d singer. Stunning band. Rick Wakeman comes and goes throughout the groups history. What more to say ? Winners !
Amen sir.
This song will surpass time.THAT I AM SURE OF
It can happen!
RIP Chris Squire...
+Garrett Johnson Echo, if I may
What a sad day today (26/May) 😔
+ Alan White (Yes drummer)
+ Andrew Fletcher (Depeche Mode keyboardist)
+ Ray Liotta (Actor)
May they all RIP.
💔❤💔
So glad Yes got into the Rock and Roll HOF and that Geddy Lee could have the honor to play with them.
never been a huge yes fan but this song can bring me to tears.
Excelente!!!
Que privilegio es haber podido crecer escuchando a Yes 🙏 Maravillosa música que nos regalaron !!!!
The rock band Yes has always played positive input positive attitude everything about their music is positive
Reminds me of coming home from private school in 1985-86 at xmas ..mtv was new & really changed our lives ..i remember the video for OWNER OF A LONELY HEART was hitting hard .we had great motivation through ROCK..😎GEN X FOR THE WIN !!!💚🍾
Chris Squire passed away today (6/28/15). RIP, Chris.
I'm a fan of YES from the early 70's ; so it's strange to seem them 80's-fied. Still great music.
I remember seeing this on MTV when it debuted. They played this a lot. After watching it now, i realize this was pretty hi tech for an early 80's video FX.
This album came out during my early high school years. While "Big generator" came the year after i graduated. Im glad i lived when some of the greatest rock bands that roamed the earth
R.I.P. Alan White, to the light...
Yes forever our favourite band
Jon Anderson has a beautiful voice I could listen to this song a lot
Songs like this are timeless. Just as great and meaningful in 2020 as it was in 1985.
Released: 7 November 1983
@@nelms78 👍 1983
My favorite YES song and in my opinion one of their top 10 songs. Just saw Jon in concert and unfortunately this was not on the set list and having looked at the setlists from this tour they havent palyed it.
This is a song that should change the world now ! If we listen CAREFULLY to it .......... .. 😁
That song is magnificent 👍👏👏👏
This person is the only one that can hit or reach a note that previously was thought to b impossible,, truly one of kind
Listen to this one of my favorite songs of my youth and it just can't give anyone a bad mood. The positive flow is just great.
Какие же они талантливые!!!!!!!
Para uma criança que tinha 11 anos na época era maravilhoso e hoje continua sendo mais ainda
Little late to the party, but my favorite song off this album! Awesome song!!!!
A girl in 1984 made me discover YES with that song :-p #ripchrissquire
+Stephane Faucher great memory
now, there's a reason for girls to exist
👍 indeed in 1984
Did you marry that girl??
great music! still worth listening to even in late 2024.
Depois da fase do puro progressivo, o Yes nessa fase pop, ainda é bonito.
Jon was at his best with Vangelis 👌🏴
The best music of the most outstanding group in the universe
I don't think there's any lineup of Yes over the decades that I haven't liked. Such a consistently high level of musicianship for 50+ years is astounding.
Both YES & TULL SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE ROCK N' ROLL HOF...........YESTERDAY !!!!!
It's all up to Jann Wenner and as far as I know he hates prog.
Moody blues and Styx too and probably a bunch of others.
What a beautiful song....having a beer in the garden, at least 40 odd years this song came out....without googling assume 78 ish
....genius...and now YES ' it can happen" ..Love and Peace x
Just like the song says it can happen
I'm A TRUE YES fan! Been following them since the mid 70's I had the opportunity and privilege to see them in concert.
That's one of my favorite guitar arpeggios of all time. It adds so much texture to the chorus.
Am I the only one who finally realizes, 40 years after its release, that the chorus of this song is one single note?
Yes band is.from heaven not this earth so positive the best I'm here to witness
Classic album still sounds amazing after all these years
not really. yes's worst, BY FAR.
@@nonrepublicrat Nah, that would be the last three albums by Steve Howe's cover band he calls "Yes".
Its not the end, it's just beginning.... YES forever! Chris Squire you incredible bass player...and just simple - you are the onlyone!
This dude and geddy Lee have a unique sound!!
Geddy sometimes sings falsetto. This is Jon's REAL voice! The only voice that I can think of that sounds similar to Jon is Roger Hodgson, but his voice is harsher & lacks Jon's "choirboy" sound.
Best track of this album , FM and prog well done ....
Just a mind blowing song…!!!🤯🥰🥳🥳🥳🎶🎶🎶👊👊👊
Viajando nesse som na quarentena em abril de 2020, sensacional.
Such Superb Players..
All of these Yes videos have a very _odd_ feel to them since Chris Squire died... I remember watching this one over and over again when I was younger... I liked it so much! And it's so weird to watch them now and.... Oh yeah, Chris Squire died... It's just odd.....
+VideoTape chris is missed,it's not the same,he was the heart and soul of yes
I owned this CD what a great Yes CD
Love this song. Makes me think about the world in it's entirety. If that makes any sense...I was 8 when this came out.
Super fan of YES band
Great band! 💯👍
Yes he is the best 💯
Trevor's comment in YesYears about this video was hilarious - "They put make up on me, and I looked like Freddie Mercury from 1973." As for the rest of them, I blame it on the cocaine.
J Grove interesting observation, I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice the dark rings under the eyes.....definitely Cocaine!
🤣
Without a sound hmmm I think I finally get this song .
amazing music
Wow listen to the lyrics so alive like a Bible proverb 😮❤❤❤
Fly, fly, fly, fly, fly by night! 1:15 As a Rush fanatic, I also had this record but I never knew this song said fly by night until now!
this band is the soundtrack of my life in so many ways. was in middle school when 90125 came out...then discovered their earlier work.
