This is day 260 of my journey to get to a rating of 2000 on chess.com.
Although I kinda mucked up in a few of these games, I'm super stoked to get an all time peak on the series!!! WOOOHOOOOO!
Two jobava games, and one black lion! I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did getting to play them!
So far on the series:
214 wins 29 draws 174 losses

Right after you said that you shouldn't be calling your opposition an idiot he absolutely throws the game hahahah
Hahahahaha the pride comes before a fall
Having some endgame skills is better than having none. This is the bitter lesson that two of your opponents learned from you today. 😁
@@omamoka63 haha, yes I suppose so 😂😂
Nice draw in game 2!
@@TheInvestorChannel thanks man! We definitely got fortunate!!
GGs man 💯 and it's "pickle ball" 😂
Wow hahaha that's exactly what I was thinking of 😂😂😂
got a bit lucky that your opponents in games 2 and 3 had no idea of how to play endgames, but anyway congrats on the peak, you're getting really close to the 1800's now🎉🎉
Very lucky indeed, but yet, there is no luck in chess haha
Those opponents played like a 1000 , bruh❤
I got lucky hahaha
hell yea 1776! THE LAND OF THE FREE & THE HOME OF THE BRAVE! MURRRIKA
Lol yup
way to keep your composure in game two!
Thanks bro, definitely underserved but I'll take it haha
What a thumbnail owen😂
Haha glad you liked it
Well done, mate!
Cheers big ears!!
3:06 dxc5 doesn't do anything for you in this position. The best move is the very hairy c4. Probably a good idea to go over this whole line with an engine, as best play isn't very intuitive.
Lets goooo!!! 1800 is coming on monday bro!🎉
Potentially haha, here's hoping
Totally best chess entertainment - thanks and great to see how at ease you are with yourself !!
Thanks laddie!! Glad you're enjoying it!!
bro added a bag and a tshirt
What does this comment mean?
@@Blunder_Man I assume he's meaning your store. Regardless congrats, man!
@@Imagoofygoober42 yaa
Oh haha, I set those up a while ago! I need to make some new merch at some point, but yes! Get yourself some Blunder Man stuff haha
Peaky blinders!
You better watch yourself mate
well done on your new alll time peak getting closer to ur goal
Thanks lad!! Appreciate the support!!!
Game 3: What were you thinking with Kh7, which you were looking at for several moves? It doesn't do anything useful. Carry on developing, e.g. Rad1! Never let your opponent have an unopposed Rook on an open file if you can prevent it.
Think you mean Rad8, but yeah, chess psychology is tough. Knowing when to think about your own attacks, then think about opponents play, then look for checks...comes down to experience. At least my guy still won.
Yeah Rad8. Putting your Rooks on open files is fundamental; that is a key lesson. Not everything can be learnt through experience; sometimes we need a nudge too.
@ThortheMerciless Yeah, he played a pretty decent game overall though, most players below 2200 ish will struggle to have games where no positional or tactical blunders are made in the opening, middle, and endgame. That's just chess haha.
Of course, to err is human and even GMs make errors. And this is rapid, so time is a factor. Nevertheless, this particular error was something that you can remove from your game.
One fundamental principle of post opening play is that (tactical considerations aside) your first thought should be to assess which pieces could be doing more and then find a move to make them more active. Another fundamental principle is that Rooks belong on open (or half-open) files. Armed with this understanding you will always play Rad8 and not Kh7.
The point of pushing the pawn in game 3 is that he cannot play f4 as you cover that square with the Bishop, so you gain a tempo (or 3) on what you did play.
Yes, I see that now, I just didn't see it before, bad vision from me
We're so back 💪🏻‼️
@@r0bz0rly trying laddie, I'm trying
First game was despicable 😅 black moved way too quickly
Yup hahah
In the the first game instead of Bf4: Bg5 with the same ideas and tricks as you played is actually better. Just wanted to let you know😀
@@MathiasLassen-fx7tr there are much better lines, I just like this one occasionally cause it's very trappy
Boom. Keep it going!!!!
Thanks laddie!!!
bro how do you add the analysis board on top right? just a screen record?
@@GMvladi yup, I have to rewatch every game and time it out by playing the moves and recording as I rewatch my recording
@@Blunder_Man and for example the time bar and the players names and stuff , you crop them every game or you have kind of a template?
@@GMvladi I set up a template to record that like that in OBS, the only thing I have to go back and add is the analysis board
@@Blunder_Man thanks man appreciate that
Game 2: Knight and pawn endings are tricky. There is a very good recent video by DrCan where he explains the patterns you need to make with your King in containing the Knight.
Yup. I've been studying them
King! 🤴
Woohoooo
Yo bro maybe you should add some background music maybe it will make the videos more interesting exciting
If you watch my older videos you'll see that I did that, but people weren't a fan
Opponent 3 was an idiot. Sorry Amindeo, but it's true.
Lol, we need to be kind to all the idiots and non idiots in the world
You did see my name, didn't you? ;)
Lol
🥳
Haha
Game 3: What do you have against castling?
Nothing bro, what do you have against it
What I mean is that you ignored castling for several moves and King safety is important.
I'm more open to not doing it in the pirc setups, but I know it's more often than not a good thing
