- WHAT IS PUBLIC POLICY IN SIMPLE TERMS
I asked my Mom to define public policy. Here's what she said.
As you may know, my PhD is going to be in public policy. Well, enough people have asked me what public policy is that I thought it would be worthwhile to provide a quick explanation.
Also, thanks so much to Zack, Bekah, Catie, and my Mom for being willing to get on camera and answer questions when you had no idea in advance what they would be!

I'm studying Environmental Economics and Sustainability. I want to be able to aid lawmakers in solutions in regard to the environmental issues while being able to maintain a functional market.
Good luck! My prospective major is economics with a concentration in data science, but I am also interested in public policy
That's really interesting, I'm interested in what sustainability actually is in terms of coursework how does it differ from environmental science? Is it just more focussed on conveying sustainable practices and less field work and in depth knowledge about hard sciences like biology, physics and chemistry? Also in environmental economics would you possible receive a question like "what is the economic value of a tree?' instead of the value of timber you could instead value it on societal benefits like CO2 captured, beneficial psychological effects, drainage, ecological benefits, shade ECT? If so that's pretty interesting. I'm also curious on what job route you want to take, finally is sustainability a degree in Europe? Any reply would be much appreciated, kind regards.
Come on

You are putting mom on the spot. Wow.
She shone.
Or is it shined?
Either way she was a champion.
This is really good.
I am currently in an associate's plan to get my Professional Studies Associates Degree. This is a "hey give me the job I have good professionalism" degree as well as helping me with promotion points in the Army to become a Sergeant faster. I will then move on to my bachelors where all of my general ed in my professional studies degree will apply to Health Science Bachelor's degree. Once I complete my bachelors, I will then use my bachelors to become an officer in the Airforce or Army as a physician's assistant. I will go to OCS or whatever schooling is best for my desired career path.
Hi, I'm 28 with bach deg in civil engineering. I really want to change my career. I didn't get much exposure before i choose to go further in this couse. I've tried to be self-employed (small business) and working in construction etc. as what i've studied, but I never feel like I was living. I really want to change my career in public policy/governance/administration. I love social work in helping others. I would be really grateful if anyone have suggestion for me on how can I approach to be one. I really want to do something I really want and bring out my full potential. I'm stuck.
What are the main components of social policy and the main components of public policy. how are they different? How are they similar?
Actually I applied to masters in Public Policy (because I'm interested in economics qnd law) and Cybersecurity (because I'm also interested in computer science and security stuff). Have no idea what to choose at the end :/
Lol dame 😢 I took a class about political science and it was just too much history and economics so now I think about public policy lol but I also like communication as well as marketing lollllll
Nooooo! Your video ends way too soon! I wanted more about what it actually is 😢 I’m an environmental anthropology PhD TAing a medical anthropology and public policy course and need to explain public policy to a room full of undergrads in 3 hours. I’m sure you can whip up another one of your nicely backdropped and well-edited videos by then… right? 😅
hey man I got my midterm in 10
Royce for Secretary of State!
what is public policy?
PP program
yeah.. so what is .. public policy??
Dhalsim is studying public policy when he’s not street fighting?!?
It’s for people who are not smart enough to earn a real degree
There are no public policies because the public follows law. And any business who tries to push their policies on the public which most do is unconstitutional and unlawful. I don't know why this is so hard to understand but policies are for employees the public do not have to follow company policies.
