Mr Atherton is a legend. An absolute gentleman and wonderful ambassador for cricket. I’m an Aussie and I wish we had more like him in our country.

Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain are 2 of the best commentators.Atherton and Bishop are slightly better than Nasser Hussain because they don't hype particular star players like Nasser hypes Ben Stokes and Star Sports hypes Virat.Atherton and Bishop are as unbiased as possible.
Star Sports are a bunch of pimps.
I Don't think so nasser hussain has his own style and Ben stokes did magic for english cricket, he has changed the test cricket and if he praise him what's wrong with that.
Ian Bishop also hypes up West Indies players.
I was impressed by the way Atherton spoke in this interview with Bazid Khan. All the Commentators in the England vs Pakistan were good.
I went to Pakistan to watch two tests v England in 2005 and the people were magnificent.

Big fan of Atherton's. He is an excellent analyst and broadcaster. But test cricket is done for. I grew up on that golden generation of Pakistan cricket that he mentioned and even I have no interest in test cricket now. T20 is the way forward and it's about time the boomer dinosaurs running the game stopped shoving test cricket down the fans' throats
Why does Bazid Khan always sound like super tired?.
It's his natural accent i reckon.
I think it is his accent that gives this impression. To me he sounds serious & I feel he should be more open in his broadcasting. I am sure he will improve because his vocabulary is good.
I think by nature he is an introvert as a result he sounds as if he is not interested on what's going on the field. Even when he is interviewing Athertton there is no excitement in his voice.
