- About 66 million years ago an asteroid the size of Mount Everest traveling at 45,000 miles per hour hit what is now the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. We can’t change the past, but still: what if that asteroid had missed? What would the Earth look like today if dinosaurs were still alive?
Some scientists say that the dinosaurs’ numbers had already been steadily declining for thousands of years before the asteroid hit, so they may have died out on their own without a mass extinction event. Still, the environment might not have suited early mammal populations, and they might not have been able to adapt quickly enough.

SUMMARY
-Dinosaurs existed in the late Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods during the Mesozoic era, which encompassed 180 million years. Earth at that time had a very warm climate with mild seasonal changes and no polar ice. The supercontinent Pangea had only just started to break down into smaller land masses that would millions of years later become the seven continents we know today.
-This infamous asteroid, basically an enormous space rock, became a fireball when confronted with friction and gravity in the Earth’s atmosphere, and it collided with a force of 100 million megatons. Smaller species living in the western hemisphere were able to survive the heat it all caused underground. But the big guys, like the triceratops and t-rex, were baked alive.
-The asteroid could’ve continued on its path without getting sucked in by the Earth’s gravitational pull, missing the planet completely, and letting the dinosaurs live out the rest of their natural lives in peace.
-In the purely hypothetical situation where dinosaurs never went extinct, their brains would’ve continued to adapt and evolve along with their bodies. Some scientists say that the dinosaurs’ numbers had already been steadily declining for thousands of years before the asteroid hit, so they may have died out on their own without a mass extinction event.

Well, people did about five hundred years ago. There is actually an old place in Britain (about 500 years old) that was created with depictions of Dinosaurs. And William Buckland didn't discover Dinosaurs until 1819, only 200 years ago.

1. Dinosaurs are not extinct because birds are dinosaurs. 2. The Good Dinosaur is a terrible example because if dinosaurs never went extinct, mammals would still be small and shrew like because the extinction of the Non-Avian dinosaurs gave room for mammals to grow. If the mammals stayed small and shrew like, there wouldn't be any humans.

The video is entertaining and informative regarding the asteroid impact. It would have bee great if more effort were put into exploring what could happen if dinosaurs survived. Like how would they have evolved? Would they form community? Especially, if this video were intended for a young audience, if you add more imagination and more possibilities of what the world would be like to live in, that would be awesome!

Personally, I believe both of religion and science's theories happened. Humans, dinosaurs, other prehistoric animal species were all created at different periods. For example, before God's flood of the earth to rid the world of sinners and evil, different species were created at the same time instead of in different periods like Jurassic, Paleolithic, etc. But then again, Noah's family and two different species of different types of animals survived in the ark he built. Maybe God created the first life in the ocean, they evolved, then when the dinosaurs died out from natural causes like climate change, mammals evolved, and primates like humans were created, so Adam and Eve could've been the first cave people as they were the first humans. Then people along with the animals of their period continued to evolve under God. That is my theory. Basically, I combined science and religion. You not have to insult me if you disagree, but if you do agree to this theory or it sounds like one of the best ones, you can give this comment a like or simply reply.

Well God can co-exist with science BUT none of the creationist tales cannot co-exist with science. There is no historical nor geological evidence of the biblical flood, also how do you explain the modern fossil records of animals they are absent on several continents. There are no fossil evidence of kangaroos in the middle east, no bald eagles, nor alligators, or anacondas. I swear Noah's Ark keeps on getting "new" animals with each century and a new ship design too. Also two of each species would be disastrous to the genetic diversity, all animal life would have been extinct after the 7th generation.
