Agree with the ocean visibility vs obscuring discussion. Also, it’s a shame there are frequently these super overpowered teams in each season. The lack of fun playing against them definitely puts me off picking those teams as I don’t want my opponent to have a miserable time - I want us both to enjoy things!
I always thought when Hearthkyn came out that there must be verticality coming and 'boom' here we are! I even wonder if the release order for the different teams moved around and they were supposed to come out later...
wyrmblade love!! been grinding this team since the end of s1 and its paying off in ITD lately with the help from their latest buffs. hearing their potential on BD gives me more hope cuz ive lost 2 of 2 games with them against admittedly more fitting teams for the terrain (kommandos, void dancer)
Slight thing here- although I played it wrong in the past as well I've since been corrected- the jump pack warrior can only boost 12. Although it counts as a normal move, balance dataslate confusingly modifies the movement *characteristic* of the operative.
I think the psychomancer is very under appreciated. His ability to look at someone and make them injured, as well as make objectives plus 1apl for enemies to capture has been winning me games
The psychomancer can be really crippling against Some teams, especially if playing against a team that lacks APL tricks or just giving the middle finger to things that can Ignore Injured. But yea... that nanomine is a helluva drug. And along with that, the speed boost on the chrono gives protection along with the speed so its really tough. Psychomantis also has an anti-crit field which is cool and even good sometimes, but...... nanomine.....
Agree with your analysis! Great overview and agree with the teams :) Btw, the corrections you are proposing sound really nice, personally i would add: 1. Making all the terrain scalable so that the 4' u need to move out your freaking drop zone is only 2'... it also would give a chance to many other teams i think 2. Fly should add 1" of movement for every 2" u go up / add 1" for every 2" you go down ignoring the first 2" (essentially make vertical distance half with the rule)... i think it would cut a bit of mobility and level the game for everyone without it 3. At this point they should make climbing gear a general equipment option imo I mean, for the rest, your map packs, and other rules tweaks sound great! I still love the terrain, just think it needs a bit more tweaking as u said! Thanks for the vid!!
Great video. I like how you organise your content. I will definitely try to give chance to my Kommandos when they will roll out BD in my local GW store. I have also took interst in Blades of Khaine, but reading the stats for Dire Avengers Exarch I can say they have butchered my boy. What are your thoughts about twin shuriken catapults damage being 3/3? For me it kills all the purposes of relentless and rendering.
Definitely. I hope they will give some buff for the whole team to make them feel more like eldari elite team. Now they do not compare to harlequins. Good luck with the next video.

How hunter clade arr not there ? they have ignore obscuring, with surveyor, recon , forward deploy on infiltrator and Optimized gait object for rustalker that travers and climb.
In a sense the Pathfinder recon drone only costing one slot is like they've undone the old model count nerf from 12 back to 13. Sort of 12.5 now, since the drone is about as strong as one and a half normal operatives.
There is a big gap began them and the rest and he didn't outright say it but pathies are only best if played perfectly which few can do, harlequins are deadly in the hands of most people
What is the redeeming features of this season. It just seems worse and worse unless quinns and obscuring rules are fixed. All battle reports seems so punishing. And loads of shops never got the terrain kit.
Do you not rate the Voidscarred Corsairs for this killzone? Surely the free dash and the flying Shaderunner are useful? Not to mention the Fate-Dealer with Ocular scanner equipment combined with the Ranger Cloak make him pretty useful, the speed of the corsairs should make them pretty decent at getting about?
If that’s all you use the Shaderunner for then you are not going to win many games just using her as an Alpha-striking grenadier! She has throwing knives, some decent combat ability but is best used for her mobility in snatching up objectives and sneaking around providing chip damage from conceal. I can’t understand why you have rated the less mobile Hearthkin over the hyper-mobile corsairs! Admittedly the short guys have a flyer and climbing gear but their lack of mobility restricts them greatly on maps where mobility is king. Playing loot in this killzone is where the corsairs are going to do great, spend those CP’s early to redeploy three operatives, give everyone Fleet, super-duper quick and sneaky!
Hearthkyn will be Corsairs on BD too. The Shaderunner is too fragile to do all that and with 9 activations vs 10+ of everyone else, that play of stealing objectives is not possible. All objectives are closer to the mid lone and most corsair power comes from melee which won't be happening too much on BD
Then you ain’t providing +1AP power-ups from the Soulweaver enough! Corsairs and Hand of the Archon get smashed real easy unless you apply plenty of cunning! Chip damage adds up and enables those easy combat kills later in the game once everyone has been softened up a little, I recently had a game with two Hand operatives running (limping) about on 1HP but with loads of pain tokens banked and they tore my opponent a new one! Tabled Khornate legionaries with constant chip damage, great mobility, access to healing and low cunning! Any team can be used badly but most can be used well if you play to their strengths and the opponents weakness and I don’t think that this Killzone is that much of an issue for us non-channel owning mortals who weren’t even able to get hold of the box!
