    Thank you for a clear tutorial. I watched it as a refresher as our WI did a quilt during lockdown with a pack and written instructions, but it was good to see it being done. I am doing a cushion with Japanese style material for a present.

      I think a cushion in those fabrics will be lovely. Glad you enjoyed watching, though I’m no expert. I love trying out new things and I thought this was quite interesting to do. I think you can get involved in so many things with the W.I. I may try to find one that isn’t too far away. I did belong to a branch quite a few years ago and they actually met in a Nissan hut. (Late seventies). Happy days!

      Grace you are so kind to say so. I can’t see it myself. I do appreciate your comments very much and thank you for watching. I must do more sewing, I’ve been papercrafting instead for a while. Take care.

      Hello Julie, just watched your ten questions. This is quite easy to do and no messing about with tiny scraps of fabric and trying to stitch them together to make them fit. I prefer papercrafting really.

      Ive not done a lot of patchwork, I don't call myself a quilter even though I have made three quilts and lots of bags. It is not something that I have taken to really. Prefer other crafts.

    Either you have big hands Mary or you got the 9 in square wrong I was laffing , I think im right I don't think it should be 9 in square that's what you said my darling lol love that technique it's easier that quilting tfs my darling great teacher too xx

    • @marybarratt2649
      @marybarratt2649  5 лет назад

      Hello You, I think I said 9 in a square, not 9inch squares. I thought these would be difficult to do when I first saw them, but was pleased at how easy they were to put together. Makes a change sometimes to do a bit of hand sewing. tfw xxx

    You know how to do things we want to learn, Measurements best in cm and inches not a mixture of the two. Write them sown ans show it on screen Ask a young person to help you edit it makes things a lot easier. Work on a mat or something to remind you to stay in the correct area.

  • @TheFiown

    Centimetres my dear, not inches
