@Miotveditzhe was only 23 in this movie lol you think Pacino was winning Oscar’s right off the jump you think Scorsese became the greatest filmmaker in history with his 1st film like no man it takes time and he was still a young actor in this movie and he had a fantastic performance and now w his performance as Bob Dylan he will prolly win an Oscar
I love this story, not all fathers would realize when their kid is calling out for help like this. And even if they do they don’t realize the urgency of it
You didn’t watch the movie. He did everything he could and then some to help his son but his son only sank deeper and deeper into drugs and thievery for more drugs. The son is emotionally gaslighting his father here to make him feel bad when this is all his own fault. Parents can and will move heaven and earth for their children but when it comes to habits, the only person who can help someone is themselves
If you read the book, Nic's dad actually wasn't as much of a Dad to Nic for most of his childhood. The movie painted Nic's dad as a Saint but in reality, he wasn't that great of a father to Nic for most of his childhood...
I just watched this movie. I decided to see if Nick is still sober so I came over here to RUclips and ran across your post. I just was just wondering, how was your day today? Did you do anything fun? Did you learn anything new? How was your day?
This role beside Call Me By Your Name was one of the best of his career, such a powerful intense movie and an incredible performance by Timothy Chalamet and Steve Carell
This movie had me crying 🤧 he was such a a good dad foreal so patient with his son he knew he That wasn't who he really was , he just wanted his little boy back 🥺
I used to use and went through something very similar to this movie but with my mother, years after, and after I matured a little I realized she was only trying to help me
But I mean…. In this scene Nick was asking for money… so he could get high again. How is that asking for help? What’s misunderstood is that once the kid turns 18 the parent legally can not force them to go to rehab
Timothée and Steve should’ve been nominated for Oscars!!
legit he hth on a lot of these clips i’ve seen on this movie. maybe i should watch it
Timothy is one of the best actor ever
Hes good but no

This father did and he tried to help many many times
a real dad should have left the kid on his own. your choice, your responsibility.

Actually movie is a combination of 2 books.
One written by a drug addict son
And another by a father trying to help his drug addict son
But he never gave up on him and came through in the end.
Hm? You may have read Tweak which is the son’s book. Considering Beautiful Boy, David seemed like a great father to Nic.
@@SaurabhSharma-ov5hridk tweak talks about his dad extensively doing coke and bringing weird women home
Y'all just read both books
Every time I see Timothee Chalamet perform I am pulled into the story and believe his character. He is a fine actor.
this movie has remind me why i got sobber. that's becuse the pain i cause to my family. so yeah: i clean 11 month. 11 month i clean.

What most of us wouldn’t do for a father like this one. Truly one of the greatest movie dads❤
Inspiring dude is bringing something new to films
This scene..❤
Michael Scott trying to convince Paul Atreides to stop doing spice melange
this isn't dune
The fact that this is michael’s and holly’s son makes this movie a little bit more funny😂
I love You Timothée Chalamet ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😍💍
that’s timothee’s best performance. in my heart he got an oscar for that and i don’t care
I used to use and went through something very similar to this movie but with my mother, years after, and after I matured a little I realized she was only trying to help me
I thought this short would have the painful line of him saying, "this is who I am" but it doesn't...
Me too, what a bummer
saw this movie today, i am very suprised at tomothees and steve carells performance in this movie. really sad too
this is one of the best movies
Still makes me cry
WHY IS MY FYP TIMOTHÉE RN
Same here. I’m not complaining I’m just a bit confused
Dad is helpless and son is mad, one upping his dad to account, someone for his mistakes, which are being pointed out.
Caring for son ❤️
I lived this movie and they did such a good job of it that I couldn’t finish it in one sitting cause it was too harsh. So good.
this movie is everything

It's a movie called "beautiful boy"
If Steve would have said he was loving him he would have ended that man's addiction
Steve (his character) was saying it all the time though
no. thats quite literally not how addiction works. signed, an addict.
