Just stretch it with the stretch knob you dont need to set it to stretch then once you've done it right click on the pitch knob and select reset job done takes 2 seconds
@@awesomethings3489 I got it to work by changing the length of sample knob (where it cuts part of the sample out) and then just cloning and dropping in the different parts of the sample. You have to line it up and tweak it a few times. Not intuitive but it worked
@@JayPhattyit doesn't work, like I've struggled with this for ages please help. Like someone sends you sampels for example 5 melody loops recorded into one sample and tempo sent with them. How do you put them all on time at once without having to cut them manually? Because that causes some inaccuracies.
So after I time stretch it like in this video, can I chop it up in Edison and/or dump selected chops into a drum machine? When I try, the sample speeds back up or slows down to the bpm of the original sample
@Cain yes you will have to export it to a waveform 1st. On the track it's on in the Playlist, right click and hit "consolidate this track" it'll turn the midi files into a waveform and then the time stretch options will appear.
If your drums are in a pattern they will automatically stretch with the bpm. If your drums are an audio clip then you need to make sure it's on "Stretch Mode" so it stretches properly.
This is gonna revolutionise my beatmaking ability bro. There’s so many samples I have that just don’t fit into 4 or 8 bars lol
Not only did you teach me how to time stretch well, you taught me about the tap tempo feature. Thank you so much!
Nice tips thanks ,you earned a sub
Very helpful. Thank you.

Great tip
Tyyyyy
I like all your videos! Thanks man!)

you also need to press reset on the pitch, it usually pitches it up and down depending on how long you stretched the sample
That’s why he put the sample on stretch
That’s one of many ways to do this in Fl studio, but dope non the less
what other tips you got. just from some one who want to learn more.
Sounds like Angel by Halle
How can you do that directly in the playlist i used to be able but not now
Just stretch it with the stretch knob you dont need to set it to stretch then once you've done it right click on the pitch knob and select reset job done takes 2 seconds
But that changes the pitch depending on how long you stretch it
what if you don't want it to maintain the same pitch
How do i made it so i can shorten the length of the pattern instead of the audio in it
when i double clicked on it, it show me the piano roll, what do i do ?
I'm having an issue where my sample won't stretch at all and only gets smaller and faster :(
Same for ne

You gotta open up the sample and under "mode" make sure it's on "Stretch"

Yeah you'll have to consolidate the sample into a new waveform. Or record the sample into Edison then go off that.
hey. What if different parts of my vocals have different tempo. How do I make all the parts of the vocals have the same tempo ?
cut up the audio clip and stretch each part individually
it's happened with me also whenever i rec my vocals some are idk any how my best take got out of tempo whenever i check them in auto detect tempo
My man’s, what’s the difference from doing it this way and using the wrench tool to time stretch it in the mixer?
Typo. The time stretch Above the wrench in the mixer

Depends on the sample
I got the same problem u find anything ?
@@Sk8fooeither put it on stretch or stretch pro and make sure you check you bpm worked for me
this was a lot easier in 20, wonder why they changed it
its the same process in 20 and 21, there are other ways to time stretch but I believe this is the easiest. what method are you talking about?
@@JayPhattyis it possible to time stretch a pattern I made and not a sample?

won’t the drums get out of timing then if you change the bpm?
