So to better explain this ending, Link basically uses a buffed version of Recall to restore her. Much like how Sonia and Zelda used their powers to boost Rauru's during the Gerudo invasion memory, Rauru and Sonia use theirs to boost Link's. Why couldn't Rauru help Link restore Zelda before this point? Sonia wasn't there, and even if she was, she and Rauru lacked sufficient motive to activate the magic necessary to restore Zelda; that motive being Link's love for Zelda. Much like how Zelda's love for Link awakened her powers in BOTW, Link's love for Zelda allows him to save her here.
Anyone else kinda hate the fact that Zelda got plot armor here? Like the emotional impact of her sacrifice just disappears because rauru and Sonia pull a force ghost and save her. Despite the fact that the game specifically told us there was no way to change her back and put a lot of emphasis into that detail.
On one hand pulling this Deus Ex Machina is kind of lazy, yes. On the other hand I think it kinda emphasizes the difference between a selfless sacrifice (Zelda) and a selfish sacrifice (Ganon) But tbf, TotK isn't exactly the epitomy of good storytelling. That's what you get for being too non-linear after dozens of linear games
@@kokirij0167 Tbh I do think the story for TotK was a little weaker than BotW. I really want them to find a balance between story beats and gameplay again.
There are Spoilers in this video btw so dont get mad at me about spoilers anyways have a great day!
4:25 This is the most beautiful version of Zelda's lullaby I've ever heard

No way they survived hitting the water a mock 3.

@@ventrillo9 first person ive ever heard say that. For me Totk's story was 10x better.
