    When I was younger when I didn't own my own horse I would play this on repeat pretending I was the rider sitting on a gym ball as the horse and I used a piece of string as the reins lmao. This video was a huge part of my childhood so thank you!

    This gave me such anxiety 😅 those obstacles looked sooo high as you rode towards them and it almost looked like your horse would collapse on his front legs 😩
    He didn't of course, and it shows what a good team you are!

      ​@@aaditya_aspirant money is in races, not in jump. Prizes in jumping competitions do not cover the expenses of the sport. Those horses are worth fortunes, no one wants them to get hurt

    I’ve always really enjoyed watching your rides and have been thankful that some upper level rider films their rounds because it’s really helpful to me. Also, that was a stunning round, did you have rail on the last fence? I wasn’t sure. Apart from that, it was beautiful and I’m so happy to see that you’re going higher and riding so well.     Awesome! What a great perspective. It looks so different just on the screen. I like that you make a clicking sound to encourage Sonic Boom. You seem to have a very close relationship. Horses are the best.

    I used to ride and I miss it. The riding camp I went to, at the end of the camp season, we had a small horse show and while the course was very small and the obstacles very low, I was able to do the jumping portion in my final year at the camp. I really enjoyed it and even took second place. Watching this, it brought back that feeling I had when I was doing it. Thank you for sharing this, it's awesome!!

    I love this video-i was reading through the comments and I found that I had written one already. Still amazing to watch! You can really see how fast Sonic is going, and I did find myself holding my breath a bit as he sailed over a fence. Super. Every horse-crazy girl’s dream.

    What an inspirational rider you are! I ride horses as well and sometimes do little jumps, I fell off once whist jumping thankfully it wasn’t bad.🏇🏼🏇🏼🏇🏼🏇🏼

    Those were some big fences. Your pony did very well. Congrats. I was never good at shortening the stride to hit the fences right. It takes years and a willing mount.

      If you train the horse well and if you have a good connection with your horse, you can do a lot. I can see that this horse is enjoying it. He didn’t want to refuse once. And the rider is really steady and calm. It’s just a LOT of training and making it fun for the horse

      Some horses are just born jumpers and love to jump! We have a few at our yard that love it. One will jump out of any paddock, and only stays as his friends are there! When loaned out he jumped home. He was loaned out to a few different places but always at home in the morning 😂

      It does take many years of careful preparation to get to this level. It all starts with poles on the ground and gradually works up from there. So it's not like they are faced with challenges like this over night 🙂

      That said, not every horse is going to make it to GP. These horses are bred for the job, but they also have to have a spark for it. They definitely let you know when they've reached their limit and you can't really force a horse to do it (or at least not for long). They have to love it.
      I've ridden all sorts and the best jumpers will constantly be looking for the next jump and once they lock on, you feel them surge towards it. They get really excited and it's sometimes more a case of trying to steady their enthusiasm lol

    Hailey- You are the reason I keep going forward in my riding. I have been through so much with a large amount of my class bullying me. I have ridden 1.40's and they look so much bigger on camera! (ik its a 0.05 difference of hight but still!) I love you and you horse as you look to be such a wonder fun team!

    I love it! Sonic Boom was simply amazing! The horse I ride now always overjumps, so I can't wait to see what happens when I get higher- but you stayed as solid as a tree in the saddle and it was a very thrilling experience-even from the GoPro

    How do people think this isn’t a sport. I have been riding for most of my life, and have ridden and won in nearly every discipline, and jumping is one of the hardest, ESPECIALLY at this level. Beautiful run too btw

    Absolutely amazing! Incredible round. That was just an unlucky pole, the connection you two have is amazing. I’ve always dreamed of going to a Grand Prix (note I’m only 17 at the moment and have never owned my own horse. ) and I’ve had so many setbacks. You are such an inspiration to me:)
