The nuggets refuse to actually prioritize their best player on offense. They are trying so hard to get Murray going and he’s just not delivering. Jokic is continually given the ball in some of the worst places for him to create anything but handoffs. They need to get Jokic the ball in places that take advantage of his ability to pass or score and make the defense choose. Malone and his staff rely on Jokic to just create magic out of nowhere. What's truly amazing to me is the fact some Nuggets fans genuinely believe the refs are against THEM... if anyone ought to be complaining about refs, it's the Wolves. Ant got a T for merely looking at his defender after a dunk... then, coach Malone literally runs onto the court screaming in the refs face (after ANT just blatantly got fouled), something coaches get ejected for. And no T?
The free throw disparity heavily favors the Nuggets, too.
And the refs are calling tons of fouls on Towns, in particular, because they know its a game changer if he gets into foul trouble. Hes been called for 10 over 2 games, only maybe 3 or 4 of which were actual fouls.
And then Murray throwing objects onto the court at a ref during a play, potentially causing injuries, and nothing. He won't be suspended, either, even with the replay broadcasted all over.
Every sign possible points to the refs heavily favoring the defending champs, and their fans have the nerve to whine. Its just unbelievable what cognitive dissonance can do to people.

As an optimistic Timberwolves fan, I certainly believed that the Wolves going back to MN up 2-0 was an option. I respect the Nuggets. They deserved to win the championship last season and are an excellent team. I remember this channel saying the Gobert trade was the worst in NBA history not that long ago. You are not unlike the mainstream media. You slurp the stars and your biased favorites. MN sports never gets the benefit from people outside the midwest. The national media just discovered Ant exists a few weeks ago. Last night they just discovered TWolves defense exists. Its been there all year. Ant has been like this, or close to it, for multiple years now.

He doesn't need to plan his kids for the offseason when he has a team around him that he has trusted and influenced greatly with his defensive presence infused into them. When a guy like rudy can do that to a team, his value goes above being on and off the court. It is not like Anthony Edwards planned his baby to be born in the offseason and he's like in year 3 or 4 but I will admit it is a rookie move. This might be a stretch but I see the rudy trade as a hybrid between the kawhi leonard and demar trade but all of the best aspects of it if they come down as champions. In a way it's feel like a best case scenario between the spurs and raptors but all in one. I watched the same nonsense happen in the Lakers series, if it weren't for terrible calls L.A. wouldn't even have gotten their one win. At one point the calls for LeBron got so silly that even the refs couldn't do it anymore, because they knew it's on camera and we can all see it. The league was trying to have a "passing of the torch series", LeBron vs Edwards and it didn't pan out. Now, they are trying to create the new face of the league, by pushing the Nuggets aside... I'm not saying, the Timberwolves didn't win, I'm just saying they are clearly being helped along...

There are very few players in the league today who would be able to deal with the physicality of the 90’s and earlier, especially from the Bigs. Jokic is unbelievably skilled and an underrated athlete, but usually Denver is the team that frustrates people on defense. Aaron Gordon is a tank, Caldwell pope is a good defender, Murray is an average defender but he’s not afraid to take a charge. But the Wolves have an identity where they don’t give you anything for free, and they don’t take possessions off. The Nuggets also don’t have quickness/explosiveness. The wolves have size at every position and guys who can beat you physically either with strength or speed. Jolie has to catch the ball deeper in the paint and do a move, or countermove and score. He’s working too hard bc he’s catching the ball outside the paint and having to dribble and body people for 7-8 seconds of clock. That’s exhausting. If he can get some easier buckets early, rather than looking to get his teammates involved, he’ll be fine. He’s gotta look to attack rather than facilitate and then his team will follow.

I was only able to watch the first half of this game, but I watched most of the Knicks-Pacers, so maybe it evened out a bit, but to me, it's moreso the consistency of officiating. When you look at someone like Brunson who gets calls so often over tick-tack fouls and then you tune into this game it's like night and day. Going both ways too. There needs to be some consistency there in my opinion. Either let them play more physical which is what I personally would like to see, or call the fouls. I know there's a "star player" treatment in baiting foul calls, but still. I don't know if it's suddenly a change of initiative with Silver wanting more physicality now after seeing the amount of people upset with 140-140 games and soft fouls, but it shouldn't be this noticeable.
In regards to that Indy-Knicks illegal screen, it did look like Turner moved a bit on the screen. I think that was the correct call unless you WANT physicality like I said earlier. What we didn't mention is that toward the end of the game, the refs called a kick ball on Indiana when the replay clearly showed it wasn't kicked, and they would've challenged it, but you can't challenge kick ball calls. That alone kills momentum and keeps more time on the clock for NY to make plays. Gotta give it to Brunson though, that man got ice in his veins.
Also, Minnesota just has such incredible depth. Naz Reid and Nickeil are probably some of the best players you could have off the bench. Conley is such a great vet to have too, I've liked him since he came into the league. KAT playing well on both sides. DPOY Rudy. McDaniels too and then you have Ant breaking out into superstardom at the right time on top of it all. They also match up very well to Denver too just in general.

Nuggets just came off a chanpionship season and going back to back in the nba is really hard considering they lost a number of key bench players from last season, plus KCP and jammal murray are not 100%. If they lose to the twolves hopfully the nuggets upgrade thier bench in the offseason, i also think they need a upgrade in the back up centre position to reduce the workload on Jokic,

This entire playoffs outside of a few good 4th quarters, Murray has been a big liability. They keep starting games in huge holes because he's been absolutely awful in the 1st half of every game outside of game 5.
