- Turn up the volume and listen to these SD70's wine-up from a stop to main-line speeds. Nice warning signal by a Nathan Airchime K5LLA. Two Gevo DPU's on the rear. High Ball!!!!

i like the bold, aggressive look of the SD70. it looks like power.
Especially SD70ACe, King of the Railroad
@@pqhkr2002 yeah, that flared radiator with the angular snub nose at the front gives it a menacing look.
@@nubetta7806 Plus the vertical positioned rectangle shape wind shield, looks like a solider or a general with firm eyes looking forward, no fear.
@cartman46 i likes it.
@@pqhkr2002 absolutely
Haha, thats actually my wife. We're always yelling at each other to get out of the shot. When she's filming, I also have a knack for getting in the way of the camera. Lol
Thanks for sharing! Love seeing EMD's up front doing what they do!
No, no! Get back in the way! She was kinda' cute. Train was cool too. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Dan
IKR! What a great way to meet somebody!
yeah I thought that was rude. She has just as much right to be there. And...I think those were two GEVOs at the back
When the hi-rail goes by at 1:16 it is a real testament to the scale of that machine. It just dwarfs that truck. Great video.
You can see how massive those SDs are when the hi-railer passes by! Yup, it's horns, lights and the spin up of tremendous horsepower-- IT'S SHOWTIME!!!
Great Video... & Great location, Thanks for sharing it with all of us. Talk "nice" to your girlfriend / wife(?)..... not all of us are blessed enough to have either to share railfanning with. : ) Can't remember when the last time was I've heard SO Many "flat" wheel assemblies in one train !!!..... Good grief ! lol
Agreed. This is where simple audio editing would have made a world of difference.
Our GT26CW cannot be compared with this powerful and magnificent locomotive!! Very marvelous train.
Excellent footage except I'd never tell the honey to get out of the picture trains and honeys go good together
Amazing how effortlessly you these HI TECH diesels move 12,000 tons +!!
Thanks for the chuckle. On the serious side, it's nice that you two share a passion for trains :-)
Great recording. Piped through a good A/D converter into a high-end system, I had the walls 'flapping' on the pass-by. Getting down in the sub 40 hz. area I think. Excellent!
I could listen to that all day long. Awesome stuff dude!
EMD locomotives the best locomotives ever built!
Thank you, thank you. I'm a retired engineer of 36 years, 1974-2011. Give me an EMD, any age on any train anywhere. GP9 to SD70. EMD sold locomotives because they are good. GE sold locomotives because the cried foul, big bad EMD will have a monopoly, make them buy our engines. I talked to EMD people about that and brother they would turn red in the face. They lost sales because of that. GE doesn't complain anymore about monopolies, do they?
Great video and super sound , thanks for posting 👍
Awesome power those ACe's and macs
Hey, Ben,
It's nice to see that you and the Mrs. are "on the right TRACK"!
Such an AWESOME sound!
Awesome! That’s a lot of power! Love these trains!
Super shots
Starting from 1:26 Great engine sound!
EMD is the shit. i've tested many EMD V_20's on the stand. the whole set up. electrical, instrumentation, hydylics, pnuamatics, welding, painting, 70 tone crane. 2000MCM. cable. 3 phyase 4160V.
Yep! Nice sound on this one! -Yer' lucky man, not many of us find a sweetie who shares an interest in big ol' trains!!
This gives me an idea of setting up my SD70MAC with my SD70ACe for the club layout
That is sooooo much freight, Love it. xxx
Great video
From a dead stop like this and with the load wright the train had, which run mode would the driver start out in until he all the slack out of the cars? thanks for a wonderful video
It seems that the EMD's at speeds under 26-27 are sweet, the transition always makes me cringe a little! Pulling and then BLAM! You sure hope the hogger doesn't say, "we just fucking lost our air!" I prefer the EMD's from the other side of the cab, but I can't hate on a GE. They rumble-rumble-rumble-in 3/4 time!
The GEVO absolutely dwarfs the Hy-Railer lol.
sensacional o seu vídeo meu amigo!!!!! Quem me dera aqui no Brasil tivessemos belas ferrovias e belos trens igual a ferrovia americana!!!!!
Excellent Video
That is too cool that your wife is also into filming the trains.
WOW, THAT DOUBLE BLAST OF THE LOCOMOTIVE HORN SOUNDS SUPERB AND WITH GREAT ECHO!!!! THOSE SIX-AXLE BNSF SD-70 AC'S ARE READY FOR THE GREEN SIGNAL!!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SHARING. YES, INDEED, I LIKE IT L-O-U-D!!!!!!!!!!
Did you shoot your load?
Excellent HQ audio! My subwoofer was throbbing my whole house!
oh mate im from england i love that sound and what a sound it is
jak nie kochac pociagow :) amazing :)
Hello to Clifford Baylor engineer BNSF!
nice video love SD70Ace
love me some emds
EMD's roar, while GE's chug!
You must not like girls by the way you ordered that woman to move. Trains are nice but there is nothing better than a beautiful woman.
unless she's a bitch, then trains a better
Even a bitch is better in bed!
That's the guys mrs!!
Very good video!!
great BNSF video ...
Nice video!
damn, those 710 engines sound good on "take-off"!
I wonder how long it would take to fill up just one of those diesel tanks from your regular bowser. A day if you're lucky, plus you'd have to stop and reset it every 100 gallons
It really looks determined to pull that weight
Cool sd70
LOVE LOVE LOVE the sound of that locomotive,..especially at idle and then winding up for the start. The SD70Ace is my favorite,...followed by the SD70MAC.
No GEs up front!
For the first 30 seconds, I thought it was a picture of a train as I couldn't see the trees moving due to the wind or no smoke from the engine....but after seeing it closely, It was a real engine...😃
Good vid up to the rude ending!
Does anyone know if these Locomotives operate/operated on Freight Routes between New Orleans Region and Florida back as far as 1970's until 2010/2011 ...
.. In particular, EMD SD70MAC BNSF Heritage II #9842 (as I am considering Purchasing one), or does anyone know of any particular Road Numbers that operate in said era and regions?
I am designing a layout based on various Locations between Louisiana and Central Eastern Florida.
Great sound! I'm a driver from Australia I know these engines well!! Thanks for uploading! Where is the location please?
The sound from your camera is very clear, what camera do you use for it? I have some Shinkansen (Bullet train Japan) videos I need to upload here too sometime.
There are US spec SD70s in Australia?? Would these not be far to heavy to operate there?
@@scenicdepictionsofchicagolife No. Australian Railways are incredibly similar to US & Canadian ones
@@scenicdepictionsofchicagolifeonly operated on private mine company rail lines mate due to high axle loads. Pilbara region of Western Australia
Hi from France. D! Rumblerumblerumble!!! Here, we say "faire des roues carrées!". In OV Squarred wheels! Bye!
is this northern arizona?
Those wheel flats can cause serious damage to the railhead and under bridge's.
GE's and EMD's are both equally good
Nope EMD is better!
Sounds like a big Semi-Truck idling.
YESSSSS!!!!!!!
where was this taken?
nice train diesels 😊😊
long trains,i see İstanbul.turkiye,,,,thank you.....
Very nice footage, except invest in a trypod with fluid head, will make a beautifull difference, and wow there are a few square wheels on that train, I am an ex driver for Australian national railways.
Sounds like some flat-spotted wheels there. The car shop guys won't be happy about that.
Sweet spool at 2:19
I was pulling 660,000 pound rail cars loaded to dah hill with shreds and coal, 3,000 brake wheel horse power each wheel full inter axel wheel locks. Go with throttle up, running a fiat Alice tug boat engine 16 cylinder
who cares
LOL the truck at 01:12
GEVO? You mean the DPU's?
I always thought of something. How do the engineers go to the bathroom? Is there a toilet in the cab or do they have to stop and get out to use it
toilets in the cab.
toilet is usually in the nose compartment of the locomotive (also known as short hood) , there is door inside the cabine
awaken77 Yes, in the forward compartment between the front of the nose and the cab proper.
on short nose, highhoods and wide cab units they are in the nose
The roadrailer looked puny
I have that exact engine in HO scale
where it is?
Leaders: 9271 & 9863
DPU's: 5814 & 6180
l love santa fe
Seemed like about half of the rolling stock needed wheels replaced.
IKR. I was thinking "Are there any cars that DON'T have flat spots on them?"
there be a few flat wheels on that train
Garbage wheels, there were close to 40 of em with flat spots.
love the sound of the CAT
Same old EMD isn't it? Sounds exactly the same to me.
They be runnig Cat engines in them now since Cat bought out EMD but im sure they are still installing EMD 710s ind some at buyers request, but dont hold me on that cause i culd still be wrong on some details
emily kroll The new F125 passenger locomotive will have a 4-stroke CAT engine, but I've heard of none going into freight locos. It's still the 2-stroke 710 engine in the SD70 line.
That is what I thought. Classic EMD action. I thought it sounded the same!
To Peter Kroll... What "CAT" ??.... I don't hear any Cats in there. Two EMD's (SD 70 Ace's) on the point and two GE ES44ac's shoving.
Where is This? please...
what model are those GE's at the back of the train?
es44ac or dc`s
Could be es44c4 as well, same as an Ac but has 4 traction motors instead of 6 (2 per truck)
es44ac
8300 HP @ Work !
หายบ้าไปหลายคน
The real show is on the rear of the train.......

Why does BNSF tend to use EMD power on their coal trains?
Lots of flat-spotted wheels on this one.
a matter of fact.
I've never seen a BNSF SD70MAC in yellow and orange paint :\
Gary way

wind it on up.
GE want's to fuck with EMD. YOU can see why they need to focus on turbines.
jerr eg? who is this female? i want to know.
verry long train

If I spoke to my wife like that, I know what her answer would be ( begins with F and ends in F !! )
And yeah, she is very cute !
flat spots & bad bearings, what a mess
I saw a pickup truck
