Thank you so much! Great explanation. For me, restoring the backup worked the first time, but I had to update the Unify version from the cloudkey UI to be able to access my network UI again. Anyway, got it all up and running again! Thanks again.
I have a 3T Mycloud had it packed while moving just set up plugged in power then Ethernet cable solid light now its blinking?? Just stopped blinking its a solid yellow light and now the turned off ! now what???
Helped me big time. I don’t know why a full firmware update makes it want to run an older version of Unifi... They could of added a start up script if this happens. P.S. You saved me a ton of time so I’ll help you if you didn’t already know this. Start typing a partial part of the file name when doing work like this and push tab. If in the same directory has only one file (or multiples but that’s dependent on the OS), it will auto fill. Most versions of *nix support this. Even small IoT devices like this now a days.
Yes, check the steps in the video for the rest of the commands to type after ssh or for it written out you can visit www.davidmello.com/unifi-cloud-key-fix/
Screams Internally had me laughing and also crying because I had the same experience...why oh why did somebody try to fix the Internet and pull the plug on the power???
Thank you for taking the time to create this video. It was the saving grace that brought my cloud key back to life. Thanks so much!
Awesome that’s great

Is this fix the same for the G2?
Should be
@reallyMello it didn't work. Apparently my cloud key gen2 was significantly corrupted by the power outage.
Thank you so much.
Kyle Reid glad it helped you
Type in SSH in a powershell command promt? What do you mean? :)
If you are using Windows 10 you should be able to get there by clicking the start icon, typing powershell , then at the powershell prompt type "ssh"
@@reallyMello Thanks.. it comes:
PS C:\Users\Alexander> ssh
usage: ssh [-46AaCfGgKkMNnqsTtVvXxYy] [-B bind_interface]
[-b bind_address] [-c cipher_spec] [-D [bind_address:]port]
[-E log_file] [-e escape_char] [-F configfile] [-I pkcs11]
[-i identity_file] [-J [user@]host[:port]] [-L address]
[-l login_name] [-m mac_spec] [-O ctl_cmd] [-o option] [-p port]
[-Q query_option] [-R address] [-S ctl_path] [-W host:port]
[-w local_tun[:remote_tun]] destination [command]
