Richard Rodriguez - Roller Coaster World Record Holder

Back in 1988 Richard Rodriguez set a world record by riding the Big Dipper at Blackpool Pleasure Beach for over 1000 hours. He broke this in 2000, riding for 2000 hours.

I rode with him for 2000 minutes (33.3 hours) when he was riding for 2000 hours in the year 2000...was a fun experience, apart from getting soaked in the overnight session

On a tv show about rollercoasters on STORY TV they said someone in 1997 road continuously (17 hours per day ) for 61 days. That is THE RECORD !! That's 1,037 hours.
Maybe my math is wrong....but Richard Rodriguez's ride WAS NOT THE RECORD.
8 weeks and 1 day is THE RECORD!!!!
