Thanks for letting me be a part of the show! If your viewership drops because of my disembodied head at the beginning of the video, I'm sorry. If viewership increases, I'm taking all the credit! 😆And I even spotted my logo toward the ends. Lastly. Galaga Up! I want to see that one.
Yeah I think @retrocombs and I need to warm up the laser cutter at the makerspace and make that happen. Super fun little board/display combo. Under $15 from the usual sites.
@@JamiesHackShack For me, its been mainly nailing down the right versions and dependencies of the drivers/graphics library that play nice. I was able to locate code that used an older version of lvgl to recreate the example when we pull the CYD out of the box. However, they snip out a lot from lvgl. If you do play around with this on esp idf. I havent had a good experience using squareline studio to design a gui. It generated code with cyclical dependencies.

On which device? The little yellow esp32 ? Talking Sasquatch has a good video explaining how to install marauder on it. It's pretty much just using a webflasher super simple.
I'm sorry I may not be following you completely. Are you talking about adding a camera module to the CYD and using it to read qr codes? The CYD itself has no camera.
I am really not sure. Much of the io is used up on this thing for the touch and display. You could borrow some from the SDcard reader if you don't use it but not sure if that is enough left over for a camera module to be rigged up. Sorry I am not much help on this one. Let me know if you figure something out. Is there a particular project you are looking to use with with for reading QR codes?

Hey thanks for agreeing to do it! Yeah, I wanted to see if you noticed your logo as one of the test jpegs! :-D
Thanks for reposting, I always liked the thoroughness of this video.
Hey Leo! Weird. If this was for the Nabu repost it ended up over here on this Hackerbox video. Thanks though!
Excellent hacker box! You should definitely make a mini arcade unit with it. Thanks for sharing

Agreed!
The ESP32 with screen is awesome!
For sure! I need to get some more time to tinker with it. Too many irons in the fire. 😄
❤❤❤
We would love to see a dedicated video about building the mini wifi cabinet!
Alrighty. I've got a few things planned to knock out before I will be able but I'll put it on the list. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Have you had tried ESP IDF with the CYD? Ive been trying to launch lvgl on this thing since I got the box.
I have not. Sorry. Maybe I'll give it a shot. Getting any particular errors when trying to use?
