Hey we have the exact same name! Mines spelt different to a lot of ppl and Ive never seen some1 with the same name I'm learning to crochet and I tried to make a ball and I could not do the magic circle so ima follow Ur vid and maybe sub!!❤❤
I was getting so annoyed bc I want to do things fast, but this is the only tutorial that made sense def recommend following and redoing as she does it! Thank you!!!
No matter how many videos I watch, I can’t do it. I’m so bad at crochet and I’m giving up. I don’t care anymore. It’s been 2 years and I can’t do it. I’m over it. Thank you for trying to help, I just can’t do it anymore
I have been crocheting 40+ years and never made a magic circle…I have made all items including hats (when weaving in the ends on hats, I learned how to cover any holes or gaps)😅😅 with the exception of dolls/stuffed animals. However, I watched your other video and I was able to master the Magic Circle after two tries. Thank you so much!
I started crocheting atleast a year ago my sister tried to teach me but I just couldn’t do it so I gave up when i saw my sister making things I wanted to do the same so I started teaching myself just trebles and then today I watched this video becuase i wanted to make a magic circle I watched it.l over and over again but still nothing. I was so close to giving up and then I finally did it! I’m so great full thank you Lexie!❤
So I just started crocheting today because I had seen the cows that you can make and I really wanted to make one so I started watching a tutorial on how to make a cow and it started with the magic circle and I was like WHATTT IS DAT so I looked up a tutorial and I picked your first one and I didn’t get it and I looked at the comments and saw your pinned comment and I checked it out and it took me a while to figure it out (and I restarted the circle at LEAST 15 times 😂) but I finally got it!! Now I can make that cow 🐮!! Tysm 💖🥹 I think ima make a vid about me crocheting and ima definitely mention your vid in it it help SOOOO much 😝🤗
I can't do it but I think its cuz of how frayed my yarn is and how thin it is. I'm getting more soon. EDIT: I'm gonna make sure I save this tutorial in my watch later as its the only one I understand. Thanks for making it 😊
Hi Lexie, I thought I'd let you know I actually made a magic circle using your first video. I've been trying for over a year on and off to make one, just couldn't make it happen, I was all fingers and thumbs, couldn't make my fingers move the way those that were trying to teach the magic circle were saying to do. I felt like an idiot, so I would give up. But a project I've been asked to make for my daughter in law in America, I've found the tutorials on RUclips and every one starts with a magic circle, so I had to try again. I spent the last 2 hours watching several tutorials on RUclips to no avail, then I clicked on yours if I'm honest I was sure it would be the same as the others, first attempt was hopeless, I was using some spare DK no good, then I decided to use the yarn I'm using on this project, it a soft all cotton yarn, which is made up of several strands and says a 3.5mm hook or a 4mm hook I decided to use the 4mm hook I took the yarn as you said wrapped it around my fingers formed the first loop on my hook, went in for the second and was in total shock when I did it, I crochet 12 DC then pulled the circle tight,🎉 think I'll go and lie down for a little while as I'm still in shock.
Thank you so so much.I didnt want to give up just because of the magic circle. My hands and wool just did not want to work together.l new there had to be an easier way.❤
Thanks so much for this extended tutorial! Your magic loop is super easy to follow. I think I’m figuring out the stitches too. Anyone struggling to get it, I tried my first one with it super slowed down, watching each place I needed to go, & direction the hook went to grab the yarn. Then watched her make the second stitch at normal speed. I realised I was trying to do everything in one movement when it didn’t need to be & that was actually doing it right, it just didn’t seem like it. Stop & check where you’re going each movement you make. Idk if that helps anyone else but figured I’d share as someone who has only held a crochet hook once before
The magic ring always seemed like... Well, magic to me (as in: You could only possibly get it right if you're capable to doing actual magic), but thanks to this video I finally got it right! Thank you so much for making such a nice and easy to follow video :) (And for teaching me magic too, I guess lol)
Am still struggling 😂😂 when you go through the loop I then get lot as to picking up the yarn again go through two, I've been trying to teach my self for 6 years on and off and getting no wear 🙈😂
i could not figure out the actual ring part so thanks so much for adding the alternative (even if it is 2 years later). the magic ring was the only part that i didnt understand!
Your explanations are one of the best. My biggest problem is figuring out the stitches on the next row. What is the beginning, what is the end, how do you address the stitch where you join, it always looks like two stitches to me. My counts are always off, especially in a square. Looking to see if you have videos on that since your explanations are the best
When I try to do stitches into the circle, its really hard and when i try to pull it wont move and it feels very tight, am i doing something wrong? What can I do to fix this problem?
Why tf I can make magic cycle I don't know what's I'm doing wrong, I have watched so many tutorial and tried it like hundred times but I just can't , it's so frustrating makes me wanna give up on crocheting
I've been brought here from the past video. I typed search ADHD in my keywords because I needed more description with each pull and tug of the yarn. The last video stated adhd friendly and started out slow and nice but then u started zipping through the chains and it lost me. I think I need reasons why each move is made and also need more angles lol. Thank you though for trying to help a crazy lady learn! ;)
Ok i finally got to the point i can make the ring but then when i pull the tail it bunches up into a small ball that just looks like a knot of yarn...and why does mine look smaller than yours, i dont have small hands and made the circle the size of my 3 fingers just like you did...i refuse to give up but thinking i might need a different yarn to practice with. Thank you for this tutorial, i seen other videos and kept thinking they left a step out or something lol
7:02 she starts stitching into the magic ring and then a double stitch so she yarned over went over the magic circle and into it and then under working yarn
How do you keep your stitches tight as you go? When i start theyre tight but as i go around they get really loose... do i just need to slow down and be more careful or is it the way youre holding it?
7:20 im STILL SO confused, ive been to the othwr tutorial you posted and i thought this one would be better but i still cant figure out how you did that. It doesn't make any sense to me at all, i cant tell what string you pulled through where 😭😭 also what is a treble/double stitch??? Or just a stitch in general?? Please im so confused i don't understand any of this
I loved the whole video until you picked up the loop with your fingers and then I was lost with what you were doing :( it went from repeating over and over to not. 😂Maybe I'm just really slow
You’re not dumb at all. It can take a while to get your head around it. If you’re struggling just do the chain 4 then slip stitch into the 1st chain cheat to make a circle ❤️🧶

I think I did it, mine is half a circle when I did six tho 😂
I have been trying for days ,but when I saw your video I went to check it out,and I just just tried 2 time and I already got it.Thank you so much! ❤️
the actual loop is pretty easy for me it's the stitches that are confusing :(
Same!
Same
Same
The stitches are the same as they normally are. They won't look right at first but once you tighten it it'll be fine
same im so mad
Idk how anyone could find this relaxing.
I was getting so annoyed bc I want to do things fast, but this is the only tutorial that made sense def recommend following and redoing as she does it! Thank you!!!
You’re more than welcome ❤️
Crochet gonna be the death of me

Thank you so much for making this. As a beginner crocheter, I was having so much trouble but this video really helped me learn how to do it.

Thank you so much. I prefer the chain 4 method. Thank you for your patience and for sharing x
This video is so good she takes her time and explains step by step she is awesome
Thank you! I tried to go super slow so people get it ❤️

This video is so helpful! Can you PLEASE make it so I can save it to my "learning how to crochet" playlist?
Ohh i just started crocheting this week and i love the idea of making a learning to crochet playlist!
Excellent video! I appreciate your thoroughness and making it easy to follow and do. Thank you !!
When I try to do stitches into the circle, its really hard and when i try to pull it wont move and it feels very tight, am i doing something wrong? What can I do to fix this problem?
There is too much tension. When your about to stich, Make sure your loop is a little bit big. Idk if that helped?
You couldn’t have gone any slower! THANK YOU! I was able to follow your instructions EASILY ❤
I am just learning to crochet and this is a great video for beginers!
Why tf I can make magic cycle I don't know what's I'm doing wrong, I have watched so many tutorial and tried it like hundred times but I just can't , it's so frustrating makes me wanna give up on crocheting

I legit thought it was just me cus I’ve watched like some many vids and I still can’t get it
i still dont get it.
TYSM this is actually easy
Okkkkkkk, I kinda get it =) I think this is WAY more helpful than other videos
Thank you so much!! ive never been able to do a magic circle until this video 😭💞

Thank you so much for the update, yes this is so much clearer!
Loved this video so much! It helped me a lot and so did the previous one! Thank you!!❤

7:02 she starts stitching into the magic ring and then a double stitch so she yarned over went over the magic circle and into it and then under working yarn

You're more than welcome xx
Thank you! You’ve made it so easy to grasp this.
You’re more than welcome ❤️
❤I watched both videos even though I got it on your first video. You are very kind to make such a detailed explanation for us beginners
This really helped me! Thank you Lexie
You’re welcome ☺️
How do you keep your stitches tight as you go? When i start theyre tight but as i go around they get really loose... do i just need to slow down and be more careful or is it the way youre holding it?
Really want to learn on how to crochet . Thanks for your teachings but how to advance from the ring.
Thank you so much for sharing hugs Shelley 💕🧶💕
You are more than welcome ❤️
Thank you!!!!
thank you thank you thank you
How many times do you stitch into the circle in the process of making the circle because I just don’t understand
You need to do the amount of stitches that the pattern tells you to do. It should tell you in the part that says Round 1 or R1. Hope this helps ❤️❤️
The secret is twisting the hook in the correct direction, towards you
Capybara loves your vid!
GINALLY I GET IT THANK U SM
thank youuuu!!!
You're more than welcome xxx
👋
How do you fasten or work the tail in so it doesn't loosen?
Hi there! What a fab question!! You can sew it in to secure it just like you would with any other ends. Hope this helps!! Lexie xxx 🧶❤️🧶
thank you so much 🥹
Thank you Lexie x
You are welcome ❤️❤️
I’ve literally cried and watched a million tutorials over this I’ve spent hours doing it I just wanna give up but then I get annoyed I can’t do it
If you’re struggling do the MC alternative- chain 4, join in the 1st chain space to make a circle and work into that circle. HTH ❤️❤️❤️❤️
i still dont get itt why is this so hard i followed the hand placements and everything but my yarn is all over the place
someone help ive been doing this for three hours and i cant get past the 'secure the circle' part😭
Tysm lobe ya 🫀🥺👑🍄🌸
You’re more than welcome 🙏
After going through the circle nothing makes sense to me anymore lol
7:20 im STILL SO confused, ive been to the othwr tutorial you posted and i thought this one would be better but i still cant figure out how you did that. It doesn't make any sense to me at all, i cant tell what string you pulled through where 😭😭 also what is a treble/double stitch??? Or just a stitch in general?? Please im so confused i don't understand any of this
a stitch is basically a chain but you add another loop before pulling through. double is adding two extra loops before pulling through
No my stiches keep going super tight I don't understand what i'm doing wrong
Why did you go SO SLOW during the intro but then rocket speed during the stitches
lost ya in like 5 mins.
doesn't work for me prob because its my first day
but still im kind of upset i can only start a chain
I loved the whole video until you picked up the loop with your fingers and then I was lost with what you were doing :( it went from repeating over and over to not. 😂Maybe I'm just really slow
i agree, out of everything that was repeated, i needed that step repeated the most lol
my brain hurts and I still don’t get it 😭
This magic circle aint lookin very magical on my end
How much time u repeated made me mad and i just watched a new vid
Well I’m sorry that I can only teach you how to crochet and not how to control your feelings. Happy crocheting 😊
Your the worst teaching
Worst demo…too slow
Im annoyed because u doing it over and over again and. And the stitches are very confusing 😭
Could u stop showing us multiple times. I keep having to stop for you to explain and keep showing us what you already showed us
Excellent video but I’m just to dumb to understand even the circle! ❤no need for another video but thank you😂❤
You’re not dumb at all. It can take a while to get your head around it. If you’re struggling just do the chain 4 then slip stitch into the 1st chain cheat to make a circle ❤️🧶
Thank you!
