I would say women also love to be asked for advice by their man! When my partner needed my advice on finding a surgeon I felt valued for my knowledge and for him trusting me to share my workplace knowledge. Thanks for the tips 😎

JA unless your friend asked for your opinion/advice of her profile and dating issues, telling her that her profile was poorly written was not appreciated by her and she probably didn't care. For the other guy who said he’d call the next day…simply say, ok, I look forward to it! Men are accustomed to women who are control freaks and don’t trust him/men so they have to try to tell him what to do. If he calls while you’re out, text him back when you can, tell him you’ll be home at X, and you’ll call him back.

So many triggers that can evolve and impact on why some feel differently about who should pay on the first date. A women may insist to pay for her meal due to not wanting a man to have expectations of her after the date, she may actually not like the man by the end of the date and is not a user, she is an extreme feminist and takes offence if the man pays. A man may not want to pay because he has no desire to impress the women he is with, decides he is not interested in her, is stingy and tight with his money, unappreciative of her time, feels he is being used. So much negativity in all of these statements. Women and those who are mothers generally are the main givers throughout their lifetime, so what is wrong in being treated to a meal by a man. If a man feels appreciated or special if she pays, well this can also make women feel special and liked if he pays. Some male friends I have say he should pay on the first date. Overall I like what Matthew Hussey states that JA mentioned. I also resonated with having expectations does not leave room for generosity, I love that saying as well.
My point was... it's not about the action of who pays; it's the expectation around it.

Most men in my case automatically offer to pay. It seems that a woman who doesn’t offer to pay her share after he offers to pay is looked down upon. Wrong mindset. You are acknowledging his appreciation for you. Why does it have to be a competition at all?

29:47 Jonathan I love that you talk openly about this... i have to share my experience with ketamine infusion therapy, in case anyone is considering it... I just finished my 6th session in 6 months (2 rounds of 3 treatments in Jan then August). Both times were so incredible, I didn't feel I was as depressed or anxious the second round so I could have waited before doing those sessions, but considering it is a dissociative drug, I am surprised how reconnected to myself I felt, even during the last treatment, I felt like I got "plugged in" to myself and was like "OK LETS GO!" I could barely wait for the treatment to be done bc my energy was back, which is certainly ironic at max dosage 😅 I feel more confident and like myself than I have since I was my early 20s (I'm 36 next month), maybe even teen years before I experienced some trauma. Anyway I hope this helps someone, obviously speak with a doctor, this was my experience under a medically supervised treatment that is covered in Canada. I previously used ketamine recreationally and the therapy version is not at all the same, the latter is truly helpful in my experience ❤
