the publishers had a big hit and miss by making the physical edition of the game limited to limitedrun games, they could have sold alot of copies if they didnt limit it to limited run games
I’m a physical only, but I’m also a normal working man. I been trying to get an iron meat physical since September and they literally only printed 6500 total!!!! That’s about as anti consumer you can get. The point is to sell games right? Sell me a game
I learned not to preorder and deal with Limited run with KOTOR and KOTOR II. It took them a nearly a full year to produce them, package them up and ship them to Australia. I bought a Japanese import of Lolly Pop Chainsaw off an ebay seller.
I completely stopped buying digital on PS(except for stellar blade). Whenever I buy digital I always buy from either Steam or gog. They want you to stop buying discs from other stores where they can't control the price. I imagine the guy that had an account full of platinums stolen the other day. I hope it wasn't his account with all his games, dlcs and PS+ games. In the future, I can see an Asmongold or a big youtuber getting his/her PS account banned bc of something outside of the ecosystem.
Too many consumers who jumped on the STEAM bandwagon despite the fact that they were pretty upfront about their goal to eliminate the need for physical distribution. Remember, they sell you convenience while increasing their overall control and profits
I remember when Nintendo pulled this with Metroid Prime Remastered and Pikmin 1 & 2. I just waited until the physical came out. Though I ended up double dipping on Black Myth 😂
I’m a reluctantly loyal customer of LRG, and by now I’ve grown to accept the wait times and delays. Word to the wise, though, if you’re willing to hold off on the purchase and wait for their annual blowout sale, your wait for the same item will be nil. Just be prepared to buy it that morning.
This pisses me off too. I wanted to buy this game, but I heard it was digital only. Then I heard the Devs say it will get a physical release, but only in Asia. I DON'T want to import the game. Then I heard "Limited Run Games" was releasing a physical version. So I go to their website and the time to pre-order was over and they aren't making any extras. So I wait for the Limited Run physical version to come out, hoping I can buy a copy from someone who ordered extra copies at a marginal increase. They are charging $100+. W-T-A-F!? A $40 game that is being sold for $100+ because the Devs are allowing physical versions to be made in extreme limited quantities. I'm so pissed.
Scalpers. A widespread issue in the gaming industry that no company cares about. They intentionally order multiple copies and then jack up the price. It is brutal.
Do you know what's worst? Xbox, they have been contracting LRG for a while now for a lot of there games like hi fi rush. and do you remember when shill spencer fired everyone from the phsycial disk department at xbox? lol.
Well, at least America has Limited Run Games but when you realise that LRG is truly “limited” to the United States of America… that’s when it gets from bad to worse. Yeah, if a game has a deal with Limited Run Games for the physical print, it’s basically a death sentence for its availability outside the U.S. Limited Run Games don’t make regional copies for Europe, India or Australia. If somehow a niche indie game I’m excited for gets a Limited Run Games physical release, I’m forced to buy it digitally anyway since I’m not American.
Side note, the switch is region free so US copy of the game should work in any other region. Still a hassle, especially if they refuse to ship outside of the US, but Ebay might be an option for you.
@ Would you believe me if I told you Nintendo has no “official” market presence in India? Same goes for UAE, Qatar, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc. I would buy a Switch if it had after sales service but Nintendo seemingly didn’t agree with India’s foreign corporate tax. Thank God for PlayStation (and Xbox) for being here officially!
Yeah, the only Limited Run games I buy will be through VGP or ebay. I have no tolerance of pre ordering games from them only to wait forever to receive it. VGP does priority mail and I get my orders within 5 days typically. 2 months is inexcusable. I do hate that physical gaming has become the equivalent of limited/special editions. Paired with scalpers and resellers, and those games quickly become overpriced. It is ridiculous.
I got the LRG copy. It comes with a manual. Love that about LRG. I buy from them a lot. I dont mind waiting. I dont really download games. I prefer physical.
Just get to the point a bit quicker bro. I ordered the collectors edition for chainsaw lollipop for XSX from Limited Run and it will not be shipped till May 2025!!! I already got 3 copies of Chainsaw Lollipop for Xbox 360 but I agree with you that it sucks to wait too long for a game that you already paid for. I have to wait till May of next year to get my collectors edition ahh!!!! That sucks!!!
Dang, already received your copy ? I'd be overjoyed to receive it in November or even December. I bought the Collector's Edition for Xbox from Limited Run, and... well, when I bought it, it said " Delivery: July 2025 " . So you're very lucky you got it this fast, if you ask me. But that's okay, I can wait, no big deal. If I wanna play the game, I still have my X360 copy, so, that's okay. I won't even play the one I bought from LRG tbh, as I wanna keep it sealed for collection purposes, so it doesn't really mattet when it gets delivered. I just wanted to support this game, want them to make as much money for it as possible, because when I see a remaster or a remake that don't censor anything from the original game, it's so rare ( 1 in a million ) that I wanna support the studio financially as much as I can. When stuff is censored ( like FF7, FF8, Resident Evil, Dragon Quest, ect ) I boycott it. But when it's not, I'm proudly buying it. If we don't ensure that the few ones who don't censor anything makes as much money as possible, if it sales poorly, then the industry would basically receive the message " A game that don't censor stuff is a game that doesn't sell, this is why we need to modernize our remasters and remakes, make them modern audience friendly, so that they can sell better " . And that's not the message I wanna send the industry at all. I wanna send them the exact opposite message, wanna send them " A remaster/remake that censor stuff is a game that doesn't sell. The only ones that do sell, are the ones who don't put censorship in them " . That's why I'm boycotting the remakes previously named, and bought Lollipop Chainsaw ( the Collector's Edition on top of it, or Deluxe Edition they call it I believe, whatever they named it that's the one I bought ) . I had bought the original game day one back then, loved it, so when I heard about them releasing a Collector's Edition on LRG, I just couldn't possibly not buy it, loved the game too much to resist it, and the fact the studio didn't censor this version made them deserve to make that extra money anyway. Being the fan that I am, yeah, I prefer to keep this Collector's Edition new and sealed, so that it keeps all of it's rarity value. If I wanna play the game, well, I can use my X360 version, or buy the digital version on Series X, I have no need for the physical disk of this Collector's Edition to play the game. I just want to have the Collector of this great game in my collection. And keep it new and sealed for max value. Don't wanna take the risk of damaging anything nor the box of this beautiful Collector. It's too rare to take the risk to damage anything. While I'd like for it to be delivered asap, it doesn't really matter if it takes long for it to be delivered, since it will simply sit on a shelf forever. To play it, I'll just buy the digital version someday, that way I can keep my lovely Collector's Edition intact and sealed.
Mine was being shipped to the UK and it was the worst tracking ever (Used EasyPost), barely updated the status and when it notified you it was "Out for delivery" it was about 1hr before it arrived at your door.
They need to make it on demand... even if on extra cost !! 😁 I love to display em' ...and own MY copy !! with all gamedata/ installer/ unique key whatever, on the disc/s 😊 Digital only and always online 🙄 ..and fkin DRM are the bane of us all 😅
the publishers had a big hit and miss by making the physical edition of the game limited to limitedrun games, they could have sold alot of copies if they didnt limit it to limited run games
I would be more pissed knowing that the limited edition for the USA had a booklet and stickers in the box the Japanese version had nothing 👎🏼
I’m a physical only, but I’m also a normal working man. I been trying to get an iron meat physical since September and they literally only printed 6500 total!!!! That’s about as anti consumer you can get. The point is to sell games right? Sell me a game
I live near the only limited run games physical store in North Carolina and it’s still in stock.
I learned not to preorder and deal with Limited run with KOTOR and KOTOR II. It took them a nearly a full year to produce them, package them up and ship them to Australia. I bought a Japanese import of Lolly Pop Chainsaw off an ebay seller.

As long as it’s available I will buy physical
I’m a sucker for physical as well. You’re not alone Alex
I like physical games too
I guess you could say that you got sucker punched.
@ 😂😂😂
Too many consumers who jumped on the STEAM bandwagon despite the fact that they were pretty upfront about their goal to eliminate the need for physical distribution.

Same story with me only playasia had no compatible pay method so had to pay more then delays and payed 64,99 + shipping
I remember when Nintendo pulled this with Metroid Prime Remastered and Pikmin 1 & 2. I just waited until the physical came out. Though I ended up double dipping on Black Myth 😂

when do they do the sale?, also assume its a online sale?
@ Usually it’s around New Year’s Day, but this year it was moved to Memorial Day
Ebay bidding it is. Thanks for the warning.
We need a alpha protocol remastered or remake for modern consoles .

Yep, it's all being pushed on those last few sites, giving them power and then we get this stuff, absolutely right.

Ordered a copy of LRG, is it worth keeping sealed or should i open and play it like any other game (Do LRG games appreciate in value?).
*I kinda like limited physical games that appreciate over time 👌 I get everything digital now so having anything physical is a big tickle for me.*
i preordered the collectors edition of lollipop chainsaw from limited run games and it’s coming out in 2025, MAY OF 2025 😭😭😭
agree with everything
Man I haven't received my copy from LRGs. They shipped it with that lame ass shipping company DHS. No updated shipping or delivery date. Nothing
Mine was being shipped to the UK and it was the worst tracking ever (Used EasyPost), barely updated the status and when it notified you it was "Out for delivery" it was about 1hr before it arrived at your door.
I need to get Lolipop Chainsaw Repop physical edition, but not on PS5 because I wan't it for Switch! 💀🍭
Thanks!
Gotten more valuable as time went on
My price tag was $14.99 on PS3
They need to make it on demand... even if on extra cost !! 😁
I love to display em' ...and own MY copy !! with all gamedata/ installer/ unique key whatever, on the disc/s 😊
