Playing Master Duel against Tears has been fun for me recently, not because I play the "interactive and engaging" mirror match, but because I play Phantasm Spiral with floodgates that specifically counter Tear
Check the list: Non fusion area? Shadow imprisoning mirror? Summon limit? Skill drain? Soul drain? Rivalry of warlords? The dark door? Anti spell fragrance? Royal decree?
As a consummate gravekeeper main since 2006 I’ve never been happier. The Syncro era nearly killed my will to play, but with all this graveyard farming?
@@Regunes Oh yeah, but the power creep and combo summoning kicked my ass for every early syncro format except Junk. And this was before the 2014 support boost, so no Secret Temple of the Necrovalley to negate special summons.

After hearing PTSD-aflicted TCG players talk about Tear leading up to their release here _I_ sure as shit can. Especially since a big part of what made Runick a pain in the ass (the floodgates) have since been restricted... except for one... (eyes There Can Only Be One with malevolence).
It's so funny because while yes it is a bit scary seeing mostly tear in ladder, most of the time they overdo it with the milling and they end up messing up combo or leaving their board vulnerable to stuff like lava golem or sphere mode
This video just randomly showed up in my recommendations. I already have a problem with the new cards because, every effect is a damn book now. But this just tops everything. And I'm not even that old.
You know I played a game of Dragonmaid vs Fire King yesterday, most interactive game I have had all month. And then I played a Tear and was immediately disappointed.
I once dealt with Phantom Knights using trains. It was genuinely the most fun duel when playing MD for me. I wish card design was that and not... what this and negate boards are.
I played Qliphort against Dinomorphia. High octane gameplay fr. We both trade blows and effects until run out of resources, bricked as far as 9 turns Even the dino player K.O'd me using flipped morphig jar 😂

TIme I've gone against Phantom Knights they summon and activate like 70 fucking effects in one turn, and end on negates like Utopic Draco Future, boards of 8+ cards, have multiple cards in the hand to spare, and, for the time that it was legal, a Gossip Shadow-boosted 5-material Rhongo Bongo. One time I went first against Phantom Knights and negated them 4 times. ... ...AND THEY *STILL!* KEPT! FUCKING! GOING!!! Even when they took out all the Spell cards for the Anti-Spell even they were *STILL* insufferably long-winded and toxic!
Really? How so? If they have Rulkallos then you can't activate Welcome, you can't pop her because she will resummon herself by her own effect, if you activate a virus you activate all of the tear effect... Not being toxic, just asking from a Dogmatika player.

Eventually they all will be errated, but I would like the Ishizu cards to be errated so it only works with EARTH Fairy monsters and no other kind of monsters.
I am absolutely terrified of playing a 40 card deck as long as Runick and Ishizu cards remain relevant to the meta. 45 is honestly as low as I've been going most of the time these days.
Alright, im pretty new to the Master Duel scene, having not played yugioh seriously in 8 years when I stopped going to tourneys in 2015. Out of all the archetypes I've seen trying to get used to new yugioh Tearlaments is just the definition of unfun. Dragonmaid supremacy

Tearlaments counter is that in best of ones they can't side against you, so play the best stun/mill/floo decks until they eventually get banned into oblivion here too 👍

Funnily enough I made this deck the very moment the new pack came out yet I hardly ever use it matter of fact I haven’t even played the ladder with it since I haven’t really played with it, I prefer using my Branded Despia Deck instead.
Because (supposedly) it's balanced around the fact it's not a negate fest deck nor floodgate dependent. Unfortunately card design ignores that the graveyard is part of a player's hand.
God I love seeing people just NOT READ FIVE RAINBOW MAGICIAN, had one matchup where the tear player had game on board and reset gravekeeper trap face down and on his turn decided to flex with activating it and Maxx "C". And just. Not realize he shut himself out from winning.
Honestly believe that Tear would be fine if they just made every deck as interactive as this. It's a deck that rewards skill and doesn't rely on floodgates, ill take this over runick any day

lmaoo that mouse clicking to attack xD Reminds of the time my opponent sales banned Rhongo after summoning it and I was sooo confused the entire match why it wasn't detaching materials at each end phase, until I realized he sales banned it, and figured what that meant xD What's funny is that even then after he sales ban summoned Rhongo, I still could've won, but I didn't know that you can flip summon against Rhongo. Had I known, I would've just set my 6k ATK King of the skull servants, then flipped it next turn and gg xD (He wasn't attacking cuz he thought ez win for sure.) What's funny, is that I realized I can flip summon IN the match still, but even then it was too late. He was using cauldron of the old man, and had over 25k hp, meanwhile, I had like 3 cards left in my deck left.
So I was playing, and turn 1 they had all 3 tear fusions on board, sprite elf in the extra zone, and 2 other tears on field. Honestly, I had a decent hand and could’ve won…if tearlaments fusion atleast limited to aqua or “tearlaments”…got Predaplant dragond so I couldn’t xyz summon…
Bruh, there were 4 floodgates. 1 is at one and got negated immediately, 1 was an attack floodgate that's been around for 20 goddamn years, 1 is a card that can be thwarted with the monumental task of... setting 1 Spell/Trap, and the last one is a floodgate so specific that it hasn't been restricted at all and has never even been called on to *BE* restricted by the player base. If they were playing shit like Rivalry, There Can Only Be One, etc. you'd have a point, but a lot of the stuff shown in this video from the Runick side is hardly game-breaking.

The only counters I have are my spell counters. Same decklist as the last 4 seasons.
....My eldlich deck surprisingly benifits from their milling so its either a win-win or get trapped for 5 minutes with me.

Actually the event in three days prevents tearlaments and sprights from participating along with other meta decks being hit

A) My Jank decks barely stand a chance against non-bots as it is.
and B) Much like with Adamancipators, Phantom Knights, etc. I'd like to be able to have a turn to play before I die of old fucking age.
@@TheTaintedWisdom I feel you, those players and decks are so annoying. I put 3 Jackpot 7 in my deck now cuz only then they either stop their strategy or they lose by their own hand.
